Find the Cheap Nijar Hotels

I hated my 3 nights stay at this hotel. Everything was a struggle. Toiletries and loo roll for the first 2 days have not been replenished; I had to go and fetch them in the toilet down near the spa. The TV was not synchronised with the remote, eventually was changed and worked, the safe was not working, the room was dark and uncomfortable with a monstruosity for a headboard. No kettle in the room. Breakfast was already scarse and if you don’t eat anything with sugar added nor process meat, was very little left. The pool and all outdoor area extremely unkempt, chairs covered with birds poo, stained sun loungers, no paddings nor a towel on sight. Should not be advertised at this time of the year if not maintained and customers are unable to use it. I cannot believe this is a 4 stars hotel. One of the lady at reception stunk of cigarettes smoke; very unpleasant when she came to look into the issue with the TV and left a trail of smell behind. Catalina on the other end was very informative.

After a pretty hectic couple of months, I decided to book a solo trip to Spain and after some searching, this hotel was the best price. However, I now understand why the hotel was such a low cost and TUI listing the hotel as 4* is laughable. Some aspects of the hotel are lovely (my room was nice and modern and the pool area is really nice) but everything else is bang average. The staff’s downright unpleasantness and hostility to English people is also something that I need to mention. During this week stay I have lost count of the amount of times that I have been completely blanked by members of staff when trying to order food and drink to a point where I’ve had to get up from my table and walk over to the bar area so they physically cannot ignore me. Spanish people, however, are served at their tables and quite clearly treated a lot better. I have worked in customer service roles my whole working life, and know for a fact that it is not difficult to be nice to people - Particularly people like me who are clearly travelling on their own. Another absolutely mental thing that just happened was that a short time before me typing this, I returned to my sun bed after popping to the toilet (I was gone for a max of ten mins.) on my sun bed was a note warning me not to leave my belongings or else the staff have a right to remove them if they are getting in the way of other guests??? Literally all of the beds around me bar one are completely empty!! I have been on a sun bed in the same area all week so the staff know that I get here early and stay here all day, so to receive this note is frankly quite nasty and underhanded. What would you like me to do, wee in the pool??? I have attached photos to this review showing the note as well as the empty beds around me. Overall, weather has been fab and it’s been lovely to have a relaxing break away. I wish, however, that I’d booked the Barcelo next door instead. Do better Cabogata Jardin.

Being in the catering trade for the last 42 years, And having stayed in a lot of hotels in many parts of the world within many different groups, I know I can be a quite demanding customer, especially when it comes to my expectations. Even now I cannot get over the expression on my partner's face when we first saw our room, the delight on her face filled my heart with joy, since the only thing that matters to me is her happiness. The service that we received has been second to none and believe me it is not often that I am able to say that. Any queries that we had during our stay were answered and dealt with and always with a smile which means a lot these days. It would be wrong for me to try and single out any one member of the staff as all have been exceptional. The variety of the food that has been served means that every meal experience has been a delight with plenty of choice. I thought that the Barcelo Cairo would be the exception, but our experience here has proved that that is not the case And that it was just the norm that we could expect from your group. I know I have said it earlier but I really cannot praise the staff enough They are all a credit to your company. This experience has cemented our loyalty to your group for further vacations.
