Find the Cheap Camaleno Hotels

I led a group of a dozen travelers for the Snowshoe World Championships and we stayed with the U.S. Team at Infantado Hotel. Most of our group were placed on the 3rd floor, five floors above the lobby. The accommodations and service were fine. Check in and checkout were fast and efficient. We stayed three days, which gave our college students time to run and explore the area, and take in the local area. Despite the on and off rain, we made the best of the weather and enjoyed our time while staying at Infantado. The continental breakfast was quite good, but the restaurant at the Infantado was really accommodating for our group. Fast and pleasant service and great food ~ we would have eaten there the following night but we were obligated to attend the banquet and awards.

Our first stop in Spain because my husband wanted to show me the Picos de Europa. He'd stayed here before on a 'boys biking holiday' and spoke fondly about the area and the parador. He was absolutely correct it that both the area, location and hotel are superb. A couple of things to be aware of that we've picked up staying at paradors in Spain and pousadas in Portugal 1. Dinner times are always later than we're used. Parador restaurants do not open until 8.30pm and you are advised to reserve a table ahead of time otherwise you may find yourself not eating until 10pm. I gather this my apply to other restaurants too. We arrived later than anticipated at Fuente de because there are massive road works on the N621 (Potes to Fuente de) and by the time we checked in it was 7pm and we were told the only restaurant time left was after 10pm and the bar food wasn't available either. Not a good start but it did get better at the hotel. Also confirm your breakfast sitting time! Then there's the 'fun' of being a vegetarian in Spain and particularly in Northern Spain where the are so proud of their meat especially ham and bacon. I have survived by preparing before hand and translating menus first. Usually end up with two first courses. Fortunately I eat cheese but I've no idea how a vegan would manage. back to Fuente de - the staff were lovely, the room very well appointed and the location breathtaking. Do take the cable car up to one of the peaks; it's a magnificent view all round.
