Find the Cheap Barcelona Hotels

The staff and location were great! The 24 hour snack buffet was below average and the attendant was very cranky. The hotel is in dire need of repairs and updating. The interior is very dated, room carpeting was dirty with no luggage racks provided, leaving us to place suitcases on the floor. The sliding shower doors made a hideous screaching noise with each use and did not contain the water, creating a floor flood with each use. The towels need replacing- worn and rough. The bathroom fan didn’t work. The drapery was detaching from both windows. Overall very disappointing.

The location is excellent, the price is very friendly in Barcelona. Going out is the subway station, and it is easy to get a taxi. The novice aunt at the front desk is very enthusiastic, the business is really unfamiliar, a stay while chatting, and it took almost half an hour. The location is very central, almost the center of the core attractions of the city.

Just came back from our trip to Barcelona and our stay in Hotel California. The Hotel is set within 200 metres distance of The Rambla Main Street, market areas and plenty of cafes and bars to choose from, the rooms are clean & tidy and breakfast perfectly adequate. The staff are pleasant especially one particular receptionist Jaine who was very helpful who even carried our two cases upstairs whilst the lift was temporarily broken and also guided us which locations to go. Only one downside was one receptionist who seemed to work the late shift looked like he just fell out of bed and probably had as he seemed half asleep. All in all I would recommend and definitely go back. A+

This hotel is a brilliant hotel to stay in and the staff - Alvaro in particular made it even better We visited to celebrate my husbands 40th birthday as the two of us plus our 2 yr old. We organised a taxi via the hotel and this was waiting for us at the airport and took us straight to the door. We did get aerobus back on our return journey but went with taxi for ease on a late evening arrival with a toddler! Before arriving I was in email contact with the hotel in relation to bedding and room facilities for our toddler. Always great communication and fast responses. This is also how arranged the taxi. I also explained it was a birthday trip and Alvaro recommended and booked a local restaurant / even calling them to confirm could cater for toddler. He went above and beyond. We also had the pleasure of meeting Alvaro on our arrival and he told us he was new to the hotel. He was a great asset and should be looked after. He continued to go above and beyond for us and nothing too much trouble. The breakfast here - we stayed B&B - is small area but plentiful and food is fresh and lots of it. Juices are brilliant and great variety to cater for us all. Location is great - many shops, bars and restaurants around. Walking distance to many places, including the beach! And only 5-10 min walk from Cataluyna Square where can get buses all over to go further afield. Would recommend this hotel and would stay again.

The room was basic but comfortable, the location is excellent, and the staff are friendly and helpful. I had a single room with a view, though the view of the other side of the street isn't a big selling point. The room was quite small and simply decorated, though certainly not ugly - I did like the photos from 20s and 30s Barcelona. Facilities are fairly basic - bed, desk, TV, small fridge, wardrobe - but the bed is comfortable and the bathroom is a decent size for one person and well maintained. One issue is that between street noise and the hotel's air conditioning and plumbing it can be quite noisy. The location really is excellent. Go out the door, turn right and walk a few yards and you're on Las Ramblas. Walk a few more yards and you're at the opera house or its metro station. Cross the road and you're into the Bari Gotic. The Mercado de Bocqueria and Palau Guell are five minutes walk away, and Place de Catalunya is maybe ten, as is the waterfront. The Cathedral isn't very far either, though for the Sagrada Familia or Park Guell you'll probably want to use the metro and/or bus service. Lastly, everyone on the staff that I dealt with were friendly and helpful, both the receptionists and the cleaners.

This is a very good Hotel and the service is excellent, I strongly advise you to book it with the breakfast you will not regret that choice.

Hotel facilities do not match its price, Barcel may be expensive, right?
