Find the Cheap Chateau-d'Oex Hotels

The Roc et Neige hotel is located in the wonderfully picturesque Chateaux D'Oex village surrounded by high mountains and lush green hillside. I stayed at the hotel for a week as part of a group tour with Newmarket Holidays and the hotel was used as a base for daily trips to the surrounding areas of Montreux, Interlaken, Fribourg, Gstaad and Gruyere. The hotel has an idyllic location with breathtaking views all around. The hotel rooms are cosy, functional and clean with maid service each day. High speed internet and good wifi coverage ensures that you can keep in contact and use higher bandwidth services such as Netflix and Youtube. Remember that the Swiss electrical system uses the 3 Swiss pin socket rather than the euro adaptor but local adaptors can be hired from the hotel if you forget them. The hotel staff were very helpful and polite which made the stay enjoyable. Our package tour included breakfast and evening meals on five out of our seven night stay, enabling us to try out the local restaurants in the village on the nights when the hotel restaurant was closed (Tues & Thurs). Evening meals were set menu and superb and the chef does an excellent job to create well presented and tasty three course meals. Breakfast is continental style with fresh breads, rolls, croissants, eggs, yoghurt, cereals meat, juices and a range of teas and coffees. The hotel also catered for one person in our party who was on a GF menu. The hotel is located approx 10 mins walk from the village high street where there are a range of local shops, cafes, a few restaurants, tourist information and a local train station. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Roc et Neige and the beautiful village of Chateaux D'Oex.

This 3 star hotel punches much above its ratings. The rooms are very well appointed, with contemporary furniture, very comfortable beds, spacious, and well equipped. Excellent toilet and shower facilities. All well above what you would expect for a 3 star hotel. The restaurant serves a good breakfast, and the evening menu is excellent. All aur meals were delicious, with a Swiss menu with a Mexican twist. The staff were very friendly, and the Director has a quirky sense of humour! They amaze you in every way. All of them smile with warm heart and you don't feel like going back. Location is perfect with serene river flowing at a walking distance. Rooms are spacious and neat, clean & well maintained with all the necessary amenities. The Food at ”Pizzeria” is delicious. It is 30 mins from Glacier 3000 and bus stop is 5 mins away. They provide free transfer both ways. What more we can ask for? Definitely will be going back again! Other Swiss hotels should learn from you.

Amazing newly renovated and in best location in Gstaad! Great room and views! Staff were super friendly - Ivan and all in reception. Very helpful and made us and everything feel good.

We stayed two nights end of November and booked spacious quadruple room on the 3rd floor, which had a Mountain view and side view on the castle. Everything was perfect: 1) Very close to the center of the village (there are only 2-3 hotels in such proximity to Gruyeres); 2) hotel is located on the hill, so you do not have to go up from public parking P1, P2 or P3; 3) private parking with 9 places and a couple of places for motorbikes (free of charge); 4) if private parking is full, the car can be parked on P1, P2 or P3 for 10 CHF per day or free of charge between 18:00 and 8:00; 5) room is equipped with a fridge, kettle, safe; 6) fabulous fresh breakfast with a lot of choices; 7) very friendly ladies on reception; 8) wellness center with sauna and hammam (can be booked and ready for use in one hour of heating) and small gym (well equipped); 9) restaurant with a terrace outside with an amazing view; 10) 5 min to the cheese factory and 15 min to chocolate factory by car. I would say the restaurant with limited selection of dishes but you get 10% discount at the reception.

Nice place and freindly host. Wish can stay longer.
