Excellent hotel - superior service quality. This hotel is really to be recommended: just across the promenade to the beach, nice breakfast included from 7 am - 2pm (!). Breakfast to go for early departure. Towels & beach chairs & sun umbrellas, nice swimming pool area, filtered water to go & ice cubes, bicycles, washing & drying facility including washing liquid for free, it offers simply everything. We have stayed at Australia for 4 weeks, travelling along 4-5 star hotels, and this was outstanding. Take a studio with sea view - and enjoy sun rise/set every day. Enjoy the lovely beach and water for swim, and the amazing view fro the hotel. By the way: we booked a snorkelling tour by ABC Snorkel company, a business offering small tours guided by marine biologists per 6-persons each group. Well done.
Location means you can walk everywhere. Service was responsive, warm and helpful. Free use of laundry was great, $2 charge for detergent but I took our own. Apartment was spacious, spotless and blessedly free of a heavy handed list of house rules.
The hotel is very far away. In Douglas Town, we went to Cairns by boat for an hour. I am a Platinum Member of Marriott. Sheraton gave me a wine and it was said that the room type was upgraded. But they told me I was not a Platinum member, wasn't it funny? The hotel facilities are good, the scenery is very beautiful, the swimming pool is very large, parking is free, and there are golf courses, but the hotel is located in a tropical rain forest, there are a lot of bugs, and there are cockroaches and small flying insects everywhere in the corridor. It will be stinging, the room is still quite large, and the bathroom is also large. If the hotel can pay attention to cleanliness, the business should be better, which is not comparable to the Gold Coast Sheraton. In addition, I want to tell people who live here not to go to a Chinese restaurant called Jadeinn in Douglas. The owner ’s 10,000-percent Hong Kong independence is simply not dead. If you like to spend all day in the hotel, can recommend this

We were disappointed when we first arrived at the property. It looked much nicer online, and we didn't feel it was worth the money. It's run down and needs some TLC. Our room was a 3-bedroom self-contained unit. It was spacious and neat, but the bathrooms were disgusting. I would expect bathrooms like that if I stayed at a caravan park. It needs a significant update. There is no mini-bar or lift to the second floor where we stayed. Two young girls were assigned to bring our luggage to our room, but they struggled with our heavy bags, and my husband and 17-year-old son had to help them and bring them up. The same thing happened when we checked out. The poor girl couldn't push the trolley with the luggage, and my husband ended up pushing it for her. The buffet breakfast is average. Not worth $45. The staff are all backpackers. The service could have been better. We would have tried to find a nicer hotel if we hadn't paid upfront. The only saving grace was the swimming pool. Although it also needs a revamp, it was a great pool, and the kids liked it. We wouldn't stay here again.
Our family of 5, including three teenagers stayed for 5 night at this hotel: What we liked: Location: although on the main road to lovely Port Douglas, it has a short back pathway to the superb 4-miles beach. 15' walk to most restaurants, shops, marina, cafes. This said we drove around Family room was spacious enough for five. There was also a kitchenette and kitchen ware. Well working air conditioning and ceiling fans Nice curvy pool beautifully embedded into the hotel courtyard. Plus a jacuzzi our kids loved. Not really a pool for swimming but very relaxing and very appreciated by children around i noticed. Funnily enough, in spite of how exposed it was to the pool area and the other rooms around, our room was quiet. Available and free parking in the garage Things that need improvement: On arrival in the evening we were given a room on the basement that did not correspond to our booking months before for a room with a nice pool view. The reception was not able to solve the issue that evening. We complained to the manager and she organised the change of rooms the following morning. Thank you Karisa! To our surprise, the room was not serviced during our 5-day stay. When we asked on day 2 we were told that it was at an extra cost. I do not remember having read about that on the Accor web site when booking. A change of towels is only offered for stays of + 4 nights. Given the cost of the stay and that we eat out and therefore we do not use the kitchen, not having the family room cleaned is suboptimal. The safe box needs an extra key from the reception to be operational. Not sure if that is for free or a paid service. Bathrooms and amenities are adequate. We cannot comment on breakfast as we did not try it. There is a tennis court and a small fitness room too, but we did not use those either.
The surrounding environment is wonderful. All the facilities in the room were new and clean. It was nice to be able to check in immediately after showing the reserved copy.
Located just metres from the signature restaurants, boutique shops and pristine beaches of Port Douglas, Mantra in the Village is the perfect choice for your next tropical getaway. Contemporary accommodation is close to Four Mile Beach, the Great Barrier Reef, Daintree Rainforest and Mossman Gorge. Unwind in your air-conditioned apartment or kick back in the spa. Take a dip in our beautiful outdoor Tuscan-style pool before enjoying a barbeque with family and friends.
Booking our stay at the Coral Beach Lodge was a bit of a last minute thing and I must say that I was a bit dubious about the communal kitchen, but I was pleasantly surprised. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful and our room was clean and a good size, which included an outdoor table and 2 chairs outside the sliding door at the back of the room. The pool was lovely! There was also a table tennis table and a pool table which we had a few games on. The communal kitchen was great as everyone was friendly and chatty with each other. I think this may be a back packers place as there were a lot of young travelers there. We did plan a barbecue for that night though, but the gas bottle was empty so we cooked it in the kitchen. They are building a bar there but it won't be ready until April. Overall, a nice place to stay and was only $99 for the night.
Port douglas apartments have underground parking garages for convenience. No elevator. No breakfast. The owner Robin is enthusiastic. The room is nice, bright, clean, 70 meters from the beach, at the end of Macrossan Street, very quiet. Especially suitable for vacation. Just a few steps away is the end of the four-mile beach. There is a walkway on the left side, 1.3km long. Stay a few more days. If you come from Cairns, rent a car at the airport and drive for up to an hour. You can also drive to Dancui Rainforest by yourself. Don't listen to the boss's flickering road conditions. It is recommended to join a one-day tour. It is well worth taking a cruise to the daintree river by car. You can see wild crocodiles. If it weren't for this small group to be sent back on time, we could just wait to see wild crocodiles attack the cows standing in the water. regret! Picture one is a hunting scene photo we were unable to wait for. The video is a daintree river boat ride to find the crocodile.

Excellent
This was the best place for a family holiday. We were an extended family and the owners treated us so well, helping to accomodate 4 separate families. Throughout our time here, we experienced comfortable, spacious accomodation, friendly staff and a great swimming pool. The location is perfect to access all the great experiences North Queensland has to offer. Mossman Gorge close by. Only 20 minutes to Port Douglas for reef tours or a night out. We have really happy memories of our week here.
张张Hotel environment is very good, very quiet, room is large, kitchen, all kinds of supplies, washing machine and dryer, not far from the beach, suitable for self-driving travel. Go to Port Douglas and take the Silver Shuttle to the Great Barrier Reef, not far from the pier. There is also a Chinese restaurant in the Han Garden nearby.
Such a cozy little motel. Nice comfy rooms very clean. Perfect little pool and BBQ area at the back so kids can swim while we were relaxing around the barbecue clear view of the pool. Mark was super helpful with all of our needs. Also a few tradies there who were always good for a interesting chat:). Highly recommend and would stay again
GGuest UserThe hardness of the bed is just right. The hotel who responds is kind. The location of the hotel is excellent. It is a hotel I want to stay again.

Port Douglas
KKiki62922Port Douglas is a small destination in area only. The Port itself is not that big but provides a vast array of accomodation that would satisfy any budget. Port Douglas is out of the hustle and bustle of the main city of Cairns, but provides all amenities.Indeed, it can accomodate that intimate, quiet time out you have been craving for - or deliver an action packed, adrenalin filled holiday thrill seekers are looking for. Anything in between is catered for as well.We stayed during October, apparently reknowned for its winds. And yes, it was windy, but warm.We went to the Habitat and spent nearly a day eventhough we were Aussies and familiar with a lot of the wildlife it was still an intimate exposure to them and very interesting. We did the touristy thing and went out to the reef - hubby did 3 dives and I snorkelled. The Poseidon catered for each of our needs and gave good individual service. I would have been more nervous with a bigger operator. Our Rainforest tour with Tony's Tours was just great. Only 6 people so we heard everything and never felt like cattle being rustled through. Questions were answered and a lot of information and history was passed on. Loved eating at Port Douglas - (hey, I love eating anywhere!) which probably makes me a conossoir right!?You have to go to the Combined Services Club - as quoted 'million dollar views and nothing over $20.00.'The yacht club is pretty good too. But don't go past the good old pub in the middle of the main drag which served up the best steak and for the cheapest price. That's where the locals still go to eat.Our accomodation was great. We stayed at Freestyle where our hosts were just spot on with local knowledge without being obtrusive at all. Our unit was great and reasonably priced. And we knew that if we needed anything then Anne would be able to assist us.Port Douglas is warm - hot in summer - and you always need your sunscreen and hat!!!And always friendly and fun. Loved it!
Hartley's Crocodile Adventures
AAnonymous UserA nice place to learn about crocodiles and other animals. Is like a mini zoo. The crocodiles shows were exciting. Boat ride was great too as we can see the feeding of the crocodiles. Is cheaper to buy tickets from this app. The tickets are valid for 3 days. Highly recommended.
Four Mile Beach
KKiki62922Four mile Beach is a rather pleasant spot to go swimming at, with the sand so fine it is almost like a powder. Just make sure to get it all out of your swimmers afterwards. To the north end, there are rock pools with little skittish crabs and other creatures living among them and a lookout to gaze over the ocean. The beach itself is rather wide from shore to treeline, with ample space for families and optional beach umbrella and chair hire available (but by no means mandatory). Along the way up there from Cairns, you are treated to spectacular views along the coast.
Mossman Gorge Centre
TtravelerererCairns's Mosman Canyon walk, because it is tropical, so we saw a lot of tropical plants here, the scenery along the way is really good. Also see a variety of animals, very interesting.
Wildlife Habitat
乐乐天的静We took a taxi to the safari park for $6-9 (about 10 minutes) $35 per adult ticket (I don't know how much the children's ticket is). You can play in it for as long as you want. There are fries, drinks and snacks. There is a crocodile show where you can experience the feeling of holding a koala, and there are activities at different times of the day. The animals walk in the park with beautiful plants, a great day.
St Mary's by the Sea
乐乐天的静This beautiful chapel with stained glass windows, is located at the end of Makrensan Street overlooking the Coral Sea. Surrounded by palm trees and simple gardens, it is ideal for a visit or wedding.
