Find the Cheap Marananga Hotels

My husband and I had three nights at The Louise. We arrived on a Saturday in torrential rain but we were greeted warmly by Darcy who gave us a welcome drink, a tour of the hotel and our room and gave us suggestions of local things to do Room 7 was lovely. We didn’t use the outdoor shower or sitting areas outside but they would be great in warmer weather. Everything is included at The Louise. The minibar was stocked with handmade treats, drinks and two bottles of wine which were all replenished daily Dinner was a highlight. We enjoyed the different menus and the matching wines were a great way to explore different varieties of wine from some of the many Barossa wineries. Wait staff were friendly and knowledgeable Breakfast was also delicious. It started with a breakfast basket with yogurt and pastries then we chose a hot item. Linda was very friendly and pleasant We found lots to do close by to the hotel but we also enjoyed staying in our room. The bed was super comfortable and spoils you for other hotels. Toiletries made locally were a great touch After dinner at turndown service a teapot with sleep tea was delivered We would love to return to The Louise and also stay at some of the other hotels. Booking months ahead (Black Friday discounts) we got a very affordable rate for our stay but were unlucky in that the Barossa had an extreme heatwave (38°c - 44°c) every day during our 5 night stay. The AC unit in our room appeared to have a maximum lowest temp setting of 20°c. While the remote let you go lower, the display on the unit always said 20°c and it never really felt very cool. Given outside heat, it didn’t cool the room sufficiently and the AC unit either shut itself off during the day or someone (not us) shut it off during the day, leaving leaving the room to heat up, sadly also warming up our recently acquired wine purchases. The mattress and pillows were comfortable, however, when you untuck the covers for the night the flat bottom sheet comes untucked too. Normal for a hotel, right. No worries I thought, however, I really struggled to tuck bottom sheet back in as the mattress weighs a ton. Seriously, a ton. I had to try and shove the sheet edge into the crack between the mattress and box spring with fingertips which didn’t work very well. The room had a separate WC/toilet room and a separate shower room to the left and right of the vanity. The WC/toilet was quite compact. It had no exhaust fan and only a high sliding window as the only source of ventilation. We couldn’t keep the window open because with the extreme outside temps and with no AC vent in the toilet room, the WC was hotter than blazes when the door was closed and in use. We had to keep window closed and door propped open with large runners to keep the room cool and ventilated, sadly allowing unpleasant odours to waft into the rest of the room. The shower room had a wooden door with no gap at the top and a few inches gap at the bottom. It had no AC vent, no fan, and apart from the gap between the bottom of the door, only a small sliding window for ventilation. With hot water running and no ventilation, the heat and steam build up was overwhelming. Both these rooms could cause a panic attack for a claustrophobic person especially when combined with the heat and lack of ventilation. The tile floor in front of the vanity had lots of hard raised bumps protruding in the grout lines and when stepped on, felt like you were stepping on sharp stones or maybe nails grouted over the top. Reported the issue to management. Throughout the day and night we heard the occasional loud banging type noise. It wasn’t constant, just a bang every now again. We never did figure out what caused it but it was rather annoying. The room was quite dark most of the time. Above the vanity were some small frosted windows covered by a blind that we didn’t notice for the first day or two. The other end of the room had a sliding glass door covered by long black curtains with no sheers under so you couldn’t let the light in and have privacy at the same time. The hotel does not service the rooms daily. The room came with sufficient coffee and toiletry supplies for one day so if you need

Can’t imagine any better place to stay while visiting the Barossa Valley. It’s a beautiful property with world-class hospitality from Sophia and her team. The location is perfect and convenient to all of the wineries in the area. Sophia’s recommendations on wineries and very special places to dine were spot on. And the breakfasts that Maddie serves up are gourmet delights. Don’t miss this opportunity for a stay in paradise!

Stayed in a 2 bedroom newly renovated apartment which has been tastefully designed and comfortable. However I suggest you stay on the top floor as we stayed on ground level and we could hear every single footstep above during night and at 6am the next morning. Plus it sounded like they were roller skating above us and dragging furniture around. - Basically hardly any sleep roof so paper thin!! No pool, No pokies just boring place to stay, Sorry for the bad review but I have stayed here about 6 times and instead of improving the facilities it just keeps getting worse. The outside area is just full of dead grass and weeds out the back door. This is a really bad impression for interstate visitors. So much more could be done here. But we did enjoy the renovations - very stylish and the actual accommodation was comfortable. Just also needed a small bath table next to the bath to sit my lovely Barossa wine on!

Had a fantastic German lunch here in the courtyard of The Valley Hotel. Such a lovely spot to relax in the sun enjoying a tasting plate with some fine German fare! Everything was utterly delicious. We've been visiting family in the Barossa for decades and wish there was more German food like The Wurst Haus and Heinz's German Restaurant - both of which are sorely missed.

I recently stayed in a Deluxe Safari Tent at Discovery Park Barossa Valley. I took my sister along to celebrate her 80th birthday. I requested twin beds and rang the day before our arrival to confirm we would have twin beds, but on arrival to our tent, I was rather miffed to find the bed made up as one King. A quick phone call and someone was over to rectify this. Then after using the very nice en suite bathroom, for the first time, I discovered a used wet towel still hanging on the back of our bathroom door. A brief email to the team and someone came over to collect the used towel that we left out on the verandah. The car park for the safari tents is located on the other side of the creek and you have a short walk over to the safari tent site which is restricted to safari tent guests only. Some tents are located close to this path but our tent, number 2 ,was tucked into the corner and required walking across the stepping stone path which is surrounded by smaller rocks. This was really a difficult journey for my sister and it was impossible for her to use her walker along this rocky stepping stone path. If you are coming with anyone who has any difficulty in walking, please make sure you find out which tent you are allocated first and that it is easy to access. I don't recall anywhere on their website that indicates that this is could be a problem. Tent 2 would also have the least desirable view from the balcony of all of the tents. Our first night stay was so peaceful and I felt very refreshed the first morning after a wonderful nights sleep in the very comfortable bed. Alas our second night was totally wrecked as the vineyard that abuts the safari tent area, (directly alongside the back of tent 2), had its vines harvested during the night. How could we be so unlucky! The harvest truck commenced at 12.30am and went until 4.30am. The noise was deafening and it was totally impossible to sleep. We had to check out at 10am and my nerves were all on edge due to the terrible night. I was very concerned about driving home after having so little sleep. I spoke to reception about it on my way out and whilst I appreciate it is something above their control, I really felt there was very little concern given to the effect that this had on us and how it totally wrecked what was supposed to be a relaxing stay and a special way to celebrate my sister's 80th birthday. A little bit of empathy from the park staff would have gone a long way but it was dismissed with 'we didn't know about and I've let our manager know'.
