Wow a very nice surprise. We searched available options and picked this one and it was an excellent choice. A nice position about 1kms from the centre of town. Right across the road is a lake, cultural centre and Queensland Transport museum. The room was first class. a nice new feeling and well set up. The beds were nice with a nice little kitchenette with a good size bar fridge which allowed a fair selection of food storage. A nice shower and nice suitable lighting with floor lighting for an old bloke to get around at night without waking the world. The staff were all friendly. We looked at other options while we were there and Im certain we made the best choice.

The Gatton Motel is located right in the centre of town, next door to a major supermarket, bottle shop and within a short walk of pubs, restaurants and take away food outlets. It was great to be able to park the car and walk at the end of a day’s travel. Our room was very well appointed with thought given to a traveller’s every need. Our hosts were friendly and helpful. Gatton is a great regional town, full of places of interest and the Gatton Motel is an ideal base from which to explore the town and the wider Lockyer Valley region.

Good Queensland pub serving great size meals. Two of us had the beef burger which was a fine grain mince with lots of flavour and size. Another had the fish chips salad that was delicious and also a good size. Xxxx pints for $6 made this lunch well priced. Loses a star because of service had to wait for good five minutes to be seated with no one in front of us and slow bar service. Overall worth dropping in if in the area.
