The Spring Bank Aparthotel

Clean, comfy and modern room & excellent location I arrived by train, the hotel is only a 5 minute walk from Preston station. Check in is done over the phone and was very easy. You ring the owner who lets you in, takes you through the steps and you have fobs to let you in and out for the rest of the stay. The room itself was clean, modern, comfy and had the facilities you’d expect like tea and coffee, TV and a bathroom with walk in shower. The bed was very comfy. Because it was very warm there was a fan in the room and bottled water. There was a continental breakfast included, you help yourself to croissants, toast, juice, etc. The kitchen was fully equipped with an oven and hob so you could cook your own food. The only negatives I have were with the bathroom which had a loose toilet seat, a light which occasionally flickered and a long hair in the sink when I arrived (definitely not mine.) Also there was some road noise but I am a light sleeper so brought ear plugs to block it out. The bathroom issues are minor things which could easily be sorted and have not put me off staying again which I definitely would. The location was perfect. I went to the Ribble steam railway which is a leisurely 35-40 minute walk along the river or 20 minutes on a nearby bus. There’s a convenience shop over the road and an Aldi in the town centre should you need anything.

Would not stay here again. Shocking. My stay here was not the best. We were given 1 small towel between the 2 of us. The so called ‘smart TV’ couldn’t play anything but free view. No Netflix YouTube or anything like that. The toilet seat was hanging off and the floors looked as if they haven’t been hoovered in weeks. The water pressure was non existent and kept cutting out. There was also used hotel soap bars left and presented in the bathroom for us, covered in hairs

Quiet accomodation central location Hosts were very pleasant and helpful. Did not try the continental breakfast so cannot comment on this. Room was in loft space so quite small,shower pressure very poor.walls quite scuffed looked untidy.bath towel had make up on (not mine i hasten to add) pillows very cheap flat and uncomfortable with no protectors on either..little things that need attention..stairs are very steep and top flight no banister quite dangerous.that really does need addressing from a health and safety perspective.

Great place for night in Preston Lovely clean room. Very steep stairs to top floor which after a couple of drinks was fun to navigate. Warm and comfortable. Lovely continental breakfast foods available. Will stay again.

Would avoid if possible Hotel was ok but entry was awkward with having to call to get access ( no person onsite ) and no toilet roll in room Place looked tired with floor and walls damaged
