First impressions cigarettes all around front entrance no one at reception to welcome us. Waited 5 minutes for receptionist to appear. He was very apologetic and seemed to be run ragged. Our room was clean, but maintenance could of done with some touching up. Paint work etc. The shower had no pressure and just dribbled which was not pleasing. Overall bed was comfortable and slept well until the elephant upstairs started banging around early morning. Breakfast was the same experience tables outside were filthy and ashtrays over flowing and again no welcome for five minutes. Breakfast was cold even though there was only 2 to 3 tables of ppl in there eating. I sent it back. Value for breakfast was disappointing. Wouldn't recommend the restaurant.

Plus points: good location and parking facilities, friendly staff, comfy beds as usual for a Premier Inn. Minus points: Cleanliness and tiredness issues: black mould in bathroom particularly around bath taps and soap dispensers. Badly stained chair. Extractor fan not working and windows not opening made room damp and stuffy. Understaffed/overworked - took over half an hour and two requests with reception just to get a clean bath and hand towel. Staff very apologetic and we didn't really blame them, just too much to do for one person and overburdened with other issues (like restaurant being closed due to a kitchen fault etc). We would have reported more issues at the time but even when someone was available at reception they looked so busy already! To top it all, the fire alarm went off at around 6 am on our final morning. Very disturbing having to evacuate as unable to get back to sleep and had a long drive home that day. No explanation provided by the hotel as to why it had occurred. Stayed in many Premier Inns but it was not our best experience this time. We will likely explore alternative accommodation options on our next visit to Cirencester, especially considering the rate was not particularly cheap for our stay. Hopefully feedback will help improvements as we have stayed before and had a better experience.

We were delighted with the room and the accessible bathroom.Everything worked, and quality of the bathroom fittings was excellent. The room was adequately appointed, and the bed comfortable. We were very surprised to find the bar already closed at 10:15 and 10.30 on the two respective nights…a Friday and a Saturday. This was rather unexpected. Another surprise awaited us when we arrived back at our room on the Saturday: the bed hadn’t been made and the room hadn’t been serviced. The receptionist on duty on both evenings was exceptionally helpful, friendly and accommodating. She really went out of her way to help and support us. She is a member of staff well worth keeping.

Stayed here for one night while attending a wedding in the area. Good reliable PI experience as usual to be fair, spacious room, comfortable bed, friendly staff. Plenty of free parking which is a boon these days! Maccie Ds across the road as well as an Aldi and Tesco. It’s also an easy walk into the town in about 20 minutes. Very happy to recommend.

Stopped for dinner. Parking is not free. Fined £57.00 no mention was made about parking, it was dark and no signs were obvious to me. I only stayed an hour as they kindly let me in just before they were closing. I moved on to the next premiere inn where I was staying, here there was a machine at the entrance.

The on-line directions for the hotel were incorrect and caused us to travel an extra 8 miles. Hotel staff were aware of this but had not had them corrected. We were booked for a room available from 3.00pm. It was not ready when we arrived at 4.50 p.m. After a 20 minute wait were told it was then ready. Were advised chef had left and no food would be available that evening. Tired we went out straight away to get a meal. On return at 8.30 we discovered that although the bedding had been changed the room had not been cleaned:- Not vacuumed - bits on carpet Bedside shelf was dirty - crumbs and dust, spilt drink and cup marks Shower had not been cleaned Bath towel with a hole in it Partly used toilet roll Bin had not been emptied Exhausted we went to bed and made complaint and left next morning without eating in. A bad experience !! Sent in formal complaint

Location Near to ring road and easy access for car drivers. We had no car but did not mind half hour walk into town centre. Rooms Nice and clean with friendly staff - changing towels was easier than some Premier Inns and room was cleaned on request. Food McDonald’s and Tesco,s Cafe nearby provide alternative breakfast and meal options, which we used. Personally not a fan of Premier Inn food based on visits to other locations so did not east here. Value Premier Inn prices have soared recently so not as good value as previous visits to UK eg 2019

We used to look for a Premier Inn if we were taking a short break but this is the last time. There were some plus points. The Cirencester hotel is well sited and has good parking provision. The rooms are reasonably well equipped (apart from the bed) and the accommodation areas seem well secured. All the staff we encountered were cheerful and polite. Unfortunately there a number of minus points. We paid what we considered to be a high rate for a budget hotel (our choice I know). For £417 for 2 nights we expected more. We were in a "Premier Plus" room which was similar to the standard room we used recently at Holiday Inn Gloucester except the bed was smaller, there was a refrigerator in the Premier Inn Room and there was a sign on the door saying "Premier Plus". The refrigerator was in a recess in the table/desk unit and at the side quite visible in a gap was a lot of dirt/dust. I Would guess it has never been cleaned since installation. I shouldn't forget to mention the two free small bottles of water and two small chocolate bars in the refrigerator nor the upgraded seating - it was quite comfortable which you'd expect but not sure what it was upgraded from. The bed was the smallest I can remember for quite some time. The worst thing was the food. There is no longer a Beefeater on site. It has been converted to a Premier Inn restaurant. Dinner the first night was rather like a standard pub serving only worse. They had run out of peas for the fish chips and peas dish. I wondered if some bright spark may have thought about buying some at the Aldi or Tesco stores over the road. On the plus side, the steak was OK. The really bad experience was breakfast. At £10.99 each per day you'd expect something that matched the advertising. First morning we arrived 45 minutes before they finished serving breakfast. However, no scrambled egg, no tomatoes and the bacon was overcooked and cold. You couldn't cut it without it fragmenting. As there was no scrambled egg I opted for a fried one. Big mistake. It was on a tray with several others. It was stone cold and had a rubbery film over the yolk. My opinion of Premier Inn now is that they have tried to up their profits by taking over the catering but do not know how to do it. They are raising their prices on the pretext of providing something significantly better that their previous standard offering but it is all show with nothing of substance behind it. They used to be consistently OK at a reasonable price. This hotel was poor at much higher prices.
