Wir sind schon mehrmals im Douro Scala gewesen. Leider hat uns der letzte Besuch sehr enttäuscht. Beim Empfang fühlten wir uns nicht wirklich willkommen. Das Zimmer war wie erwartet, doch das Abendessen war weit entfernt vom früher Erlebten: das bestellte Wasser kam nicht, die Preise im Vergleich zu vor einem Jahr teilweise massiv höher (Wein: + 20 %), lange Wartezeit … schade! Fazit: Wir werden uns für die nächste Reise in die Region eine andere Unterkunft suchen.

O Hotel não tem serviços compatíveis com um 5 estrelas…não atendem o telefone quando se liga do quarto para a recepção e o pequeno-almoço é servido numa sala de eventos com mobília espartana, sendo fraco na variedade e na qualidade. Os dois colaboradores que vimos tinham um ar desleixado e não houve sequer controle de entrada no espaço. Durante a estadia este fim-de-semana, o tempo esteve excelente e aproveitámos a piscina, sem chapéus de sol, sem bar a funcionar para pedir uma água ou café…o hotel não tem pessoal para prestar um serviço com um mínimo de qualidade. O hotel carece de indicações para evitar que os clientes se percam nos corredores labirínticos. Limpeza e manutenção dos espaços comuns deixam a desejar. Valeu o SPA e a massagem. Fiz estes reparos aquando do check-out e obtive um encolher de ombros como resposta. Não houve o mínimo cuidado em tentar reparar as situações relatadas. Uma decepção, o que é de lamentar num espaço com tanto potencial e tão bonito!

Uma experiência a não repetir. Um desgosto total, chegamos para fazer o check in por volta das 16h, o quarto estava por limpar tivemos de esperar cerca de 30 minutos. Contudo fomos para o quarto um labirinto de corredores com as aranhas ao nosso lado. Terror! Chegamos ao quarto o chão ainda molhado da esfregona com o resto dos cabelos por lá espalhados. O pó debaixo da cama era como uma pintura abstrata.A porta do wc de correr nunca viu um aspirador tal como eu também não vi no kit das empregadas que continuavam pelo corredor fora, mas sim um balde de esfregona com a água da cor do rio. Não tinha toalhas, sendo que tive de pedir a receção passado 40 minutos chegaram mas húmidas. Vamos para o jantar então aí é que é o desastre, não havia staff e a comida parecia estragada. Não volto mais nunca. Pedi para falar com a direção, foi impossível pois não estava na unidade. Uma clamidade pois tem uma vista maravilhosa sobre as vinhas.

It's not s 5 stars hotel as you expect. No service as should be, poor breakfast. Corridors like the one to bring to my cellar. Globally it was not bad if you expect a 3 stars hotel, excepted the price that was of a 5 stars one. Surely last time there.

Para começar não percebo quais são os critérios para ser um hotel 5 estrelas. Fizemos o check in às 15:30, foi nos entregue a chave do quarto, chegamos lá estava por limpar! Nunca me aconteceu . Aguardamos que limpassem, entramos um quarto com necessidade de manutenção! Hotel 5 estrelas , o secador deitava chamas, o pequeno almoço foi a caça ao tesouro para encontrar. Resumindo preço e as estrelas não conrespondem .

O Douro Scala é o sítio perfeito para quem desejar descansar onde ja vou alguns anos Recção sempre com a mesma simpatia Spa vem a melhorar sempre a nossas expectativas, Manutenção nos ultimos 2 anos deixava a desejar mas a agora vê-se melhorias. Restaurante com falta de pessoal e com pouco capacidade de resposta ao pedidos feitos pelos os hospedes, um ponto que tem ser visto pela a propria gerência do hotel, visto que foi necessário chamar o senhor que faz a propria manutenção do hotel, ajudar o serviço de jantar onde tivemos o prazer de agradecer e dar-lhe os parabéns pela sua força de ajuda o setor em questão, e agradecer pelo o seu profissionalismo e simpatia parecendo mesmo que trabalha no setor mas visto que vimos o senhor na manutenção do hotel, o nosso obrigado pela a simpatia Sr° Luis Martins, prometemos voltar.
