The location was further then anticipated. The room was exactly the same as shown in the ads.
Though yhe room we had selected was tiny, it was clean and the attached bathroom was big
However, the glass panel sitting on top of the side of bathtub isn't fixed, making getting in and out of the tub unsafe, as the glass panel is the only element that one could hold on to in order to step out of the tub. The receptionists weren't too interested in attenting to hotel guests.
But, overall experience was elevated due to its design/structure uniqueness; an ex-jail building. It's communal kitchen and lounge space were great space where we'd spent some of our time. There were also a lot of common shower rooms and WCs within the building, which was great as the 4 of us needn't queue for the washroom especially in the early morning.

It's beyond unexpected. It's so special to change the prison into a hostel. Although the 2-person room has an upper and lower wooden bed, it is simple. There is also a private bathroom and a shared kitchen equipped with refrigerator, cooking stove and microwave. The location is in the old town, close to the vineyards, with beautiful scenery. It is quite convenient to get to the train station. It only takes 10 minutes to carry the suitcase back and forth from the train station to the hostel. The staff is kind. WiFi 5G is strong. I have stayed in different hostels and this hostel gave me an excellent experience. Hope the hostel is of high quality. We look forward to our next stay.

Uitstekende uitvalsbasis om met de trein aan te komen en met de berg trein de bergen te verkennen. 15’ van het station. 2’ van het centrum. Zeer proper, praktisch en toch niet afgelikt maar authentiek. De originele locatie (oude gevangenis) en de backpackersvibe maken er een fijne plek van. Goeie bedden en praktisch ingericht.

Wer in Chur eine unkonventionelle Übernachtungsmöglichkeit sucht und zweckmäßiges Design dem üblichen Hotel-Einheitsbrei vorzieht, dem sei der Bogentrakt wärmstens empfohlen! Im alten Stadtgefängnis ist der wohl einzigartigste Beherbergungsbetrieb der Stadt untergebracht. Angesiedelt irgendwo zwischen Hostel und Hotel, werden im renovierten Zellentrakt vom Mehrbettzimmer mit Etagenbad bis zum Doppelzimmer mit eigener Nasszelle diverse Optionen für unterschiedliche Budgets angeboten. Bei der Einrichtung wurde darauf geachtet, dass die Atmosphäre des ehemaligen Gefängnisses wo immer möglich erhalten blieb. Beispielsweise verfügen die Zimmer weiterhin über die originalen Gefängnistüren. Sonst entspricht der Komfort jedoch dem gängigen Erwartungen. Auf unnötigen Luxus wie Fernseher wird verzichtet. Abgerundet wird das innovative Übernachtungsangebot durch das äusserst relaxte und freundliche Personal der Réception. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

SI vous voulez vivre l'expérience d'une cellule de prison, Ok, mais sans plus. La chambre est minuscule, bruyante et sans climatisation. Le prix est possiblement la seule raison qui vous conviendra. Les chambres donnent sur la cour arrière et tous les bruits y résonnent.

Staying in a converted jail, was going to be a first for me and my friends! it was better than expected! What a fun idea and a great location. there was a common kitchen where it had everything you needed to have a simple breakfast or a complete dinner. it was close enough to the vessel of the town, but far enough away to not be disturbed. We had mentioned that we had people in our group that were allergic to feathers, and the room was changed to have no feather covers and pillows. Very comfortable beds, excellent and informative staff, all the privacy you need and excellent bathroom facilities. We would definitely recommend staying in jail! Book directly with the hotel- it’s easier.

The place is super original, a restored prison, in the patio there are bikes, a restaurant and cool views of the tower and the mountains. It is 10 minutes from the train station, easily accessible on foot. The rooms are shared, at least the one we took, with 2 bunk beds. The beds are very comfortable and everything is very clean. Inside the room there is a small toilet. On each floor there are about 3 rooms, which share a common kitchen and a larger bathroom with a shower. We arrived very late and left very early, so we couldn't meet the staff, but online they were very nice and attentive. The guys at the restaurant, who are outside the hostel, were very kind helping us find the room, since the hostel team was no longer there. I would love to come back to stay for several days!

We chose this place because, really, how often do y9ou get to stay in a prison? So there is the gee whiz factor, with thick original cell doors and the prison yard. And the warden sells beer. Everything very clean and works well. I am a bit perturbed by a picture which seems to be of 3 rats cavorting. We certainly saw no rodents or evidence of them, although had we seen this picture before booking it would certainly have affected our decision. We stayed 1 night and liked it.

Really great stay in a reformed prison! interesting building. We stayed in a double room which had updated and nice furnishings! bathroom was beautiful! Decently priced aswell! Really not far from the train station either and close to loads of restaurants and shops!
