On arriving at the hotel the doors were opened by a very friendly receptionist. Check in was quick and we were lots of helpful information to make our stay enjoyable. We stayed in the family suite, which we absolutely loved. The room was very spacious and very clean. The linen, towels and robes were very luxurious and the kitchen was very well equipped. We loved that we could sit outside on the balcony too. Such a bonus in a city hotel. We enjoyed breakfast in the restaurant. The wait staff were very efficient and friendly. The coffee was excellent. We had the eggs and fresh fruit and yoghurt and both meals were presented beautifully and tasted amazing. Although we sat inside, there is a large courtyard with a outdoor fire. This would be a fantastic space to enjoy a drink and an evening meal in the sun. We will definitely be back!

We loved this hotel. It was the best place we stayed in our NZ holiday. Spacious, well appointed rooms. Easy and free parking. Great bar and restaurant downstairs. Handy location and comfy bed! Everything you want in a home away from home I say. Highly recommend.

Not the first time we have stayed at The Hotel Montreal, and certainly won't be the last. As always they exceeded our expectations and we were made to feel very special from the moment we walked in the door, the staff were amazing, the food was phenomenal and the rooms incredible, such an oasis in the centre of Christchurch, well done !

This hotel is a total gem - great location, free carparking, and super well sound-proofed so you'll get a great sleep. We stayed in a Junior Suite which was massive, and very comfortable. Staff were all wonderfully welcoming and friendly, and we always got a warm smile each time we passed through reception. It's an easy walk to cafes, restaurants, the Avon River, Riverside Markets and Cashel Mall.

Friendly, Accommodating and Very Comfortable Junior suite (×2) $242 per day Check-in 1400, Check-out 1100 We had a perfect 5 day stay at Hotel Montreal Christchurch. Initially, there was an issue with performing our own laundry as per TripAdvisor. The hotel manager was very responsive and took full accountability for the TripAdvisor hotel amenity description. The hotel is very well appointed and located centrally within the Christchurch cbd. Very well-appointed bar, lovely restaurant, very comfortable and spacious suites, great staff and professional management. The king bed (two king singles) were very comfortable separately, but not so great when slept on side-on. The bathroom was spacious and very well laid out. The kitchen area, albiet small was functional and well appointed. The lounge area was huge and very comfortable. The single television had to be swung around to be viewed from the bed or lounge. Channels were limited to free to air with casting of our Australian tv channel apps not available due to geoblocking restrictions. Overall, we had an awesome stay with Hotel Montreal Christchurch, we would definitely stay here again when being back in Christchurch.

Great location for city and tasting tour that started with a walk to the nearby university and park. Beautiful scenery. Easy transfer to the station for our train ride to Arthur's Pass. Friendly staff, clean room, quiet atmosphere, good value

A group of friends and I stayed at Hotel Montreal for 4 nights in April. We were impressed by the welcoming boutique accommodations and amazing staff. The location is near a beautiful park and a short walk to restaurants and unique shopping. We will definitely recommend to others as Hotel Montreal is a special place that will make your vacation extra special!

Fabulous hotel within walking distance to city centre. Junior suite was large, all staff were accommodating and very helpful. We loved staying at Hotel Montreal to complete our final three days after travelling through the South Island. Booked through Luxury Escapes, Australia. Highly recommend, and would not hesitate to stay here again when we return to Christchurch.

Super comfortable hotel that was spacious and very clean. We managed to get an upgraded room because our previous room apparently had something broken in it. Our space included a full living room area and small kitchen. Everything was very clean and comfortable. Felt like a really nice, high-quality hotel with the hotel bar (we got a complimentary drink there!) and outdoor space. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was also ideal and we were able to walk around the entire city without a car or taxi. Would definitely consider staying here again.
