No one in office to check in. Room door lock broken. Very noisy. Linens poor quality. No one cleaned room. On theplus side AC and shower were good.

Sticky tv remote, smoke detectors not working, door that had been previously kicked in. Woke up to my car on jacks, someone tried to steal my catalytic converter.

Apparently, this property is used to help out folks down on their luck, e.g. D.V. shelter, temporary housing for rough sleepers, etc. I commend the property owners for helping out with society's needs. However, I can best sum up our experience by saying that we elected not to stay even though it meant forfeiting the cost of the room. We felt that if we were to leave our luggage and go have a meal, everything would be gone upon our return. The room quality was consistent with being inhabited by folks that struggle with personal hygiene. The parking lot was strewn with garbage and cigarette butts. Although a non-smoking room, the room had a mild stench of tobacco smoke. Hard to say if it was the room, or the stench wafting in from the parking lot. On a positive note, the woman working the front desk was very pleasant. She didn't seem surprised when we told her we were moving on, and we felt the property seemed quite trashed.

There were some missing items in my room: a rod in the closet where one is supposed to hang clothes and the iron. My friend's room was missing the coffee maker. The place is a bit tired. They are obviously trying to make a go of things, but have some way to go to make it really worth the stay. It was fairly noisy as well, but that was more a result of the location than anything else.
There was some confusion as to where we were staying. There is another "Heritage" property in town where we normally stay that is a Best Western. I thought that was where we were booking. So, if that is what you are looking for, be careful.

I would not recommend this property. when we arrived at 4pm for check in there was not a room available and they did not know if they would would be available as house cleaning did not show up. Apparently this hotel is going through some management changes. Also, the dead bolt on the door in my daughters room did not work. The only good part was that the current manager Jake called the Best Western Heritage Inn and secured us rooms there at our same rate.
