My Wife and I made a reservation to stay at Level Chicago River North. Reservation was made on Jan 12, 2024, for a stay on April 17-20, 2024, requiring a deposit of $1010.11, which was paid with AMEX. The reservation was cancellable up to one week before. Unfortunately we had to cancel, and did so on Feb 18, 2024. One week later, we had not recieved the refund to the credit card. I contacted Level, and was connected with a woman named Bronte Oliver, who informed me via email, that it can take up to 10 business days to see the refund. As of March 5, 2024, which is 12 business days after we cancelled, no refund. I am aware that Level Hotels does not need my money! This is a serious failure of customer service, forcing me to dispute the charge with AMEX. DO NOT USE THIS HOTEL!! David Seltzer, M.D.
