The Villa Toscana

Absolutely delighted indeed 🙂 So we’d been traveling for a few days as jenn and I had planned. As all new couples experience we were tired, cranky, needed out of the car with each other. I looked to see how close i could get to Wrigley Field a night earlier than I had booked us months in advance. Boom you had me at “Adults Only” and then my love of “old beautiful houses” “warm friendly feeling” “positive vibes” “positive energy” was satisfied at first glimpse of available room. I booked it. Loved the pics. Never looked at the neighborhood or even thought about it. Absolutely I giggled with pleasure at all the rainbows I had found.

Exactly what I expected

Terrific Toscana GREAT stay and location! Very COZY and near LOTS of shops, restaurants, clubs, CTA, etc! Only thing is it's HUMANLESS Check-in/Out! All Communication/Codes are sent via email or text!

Great location, comfortable room. No issues locating the place. A little trouble with my bags because I had to shuffle under the house to take the back stairs to climb to my room. Unfortunately it was raining when I arrived which made it a little more tricky to coordinate. A code is needed to enter the main house and bedroom each time. As I left my bedroom at check out time exactly and had some time to kill, I thought I would sit in the lounge for an hour while I wait for my car to the airport as it was raining fairly heavily, although the code was cancelled at exactly check out time which meant I was unable to wait for my car. I also contacted the owner to ask for the best transport options from the airport to the b&b and was give a basic answer - public transport. Not exactly the most helpful response. Overall, it was ok and I would stay again, although I would prerequest using the lounge as a seating area if I had a later pick up.

I booked this thinking I was getting a double bed. I looked at at the pictures and every bed was a double. And lovely. We get there and our room is the only one on the main floor and has a twin daybed with a very difficult pull out underneath and NO BLANKETS for the pull out bed! There was large drapes covering some shelving in the room and we decided immediately it was a closet when there wasn't events going on at Wrigley. The chair in the room was broken. You had to walk up two stairs into the bath before you could shut the door and the handle was at the bottom step level, yes, read that again!

Chicago weekend It was a B&B experience in a decent location not too crowded area with scenic property surroundings. The room was a bit smaller than expected compared to photos on the internet. Fun however
