Their staffs just too good to be true. They're so details minded, polite, and smiling all the time. Their English & Chinese language skills are good enough to have a bit deep conversations - as to where to go for funs and to share their personal experiences with you. The facilities, swimming pool and steam room are basically like private places as most of the day time no one is really using them. If you are looking for a chill and relaxing holiday without having disappointments for the hotel, I think it's a good choice for you.

We thoroughly enjoyed our one-week stay at ISTY. It's set in a neighborhood that felt safe to walk around in (though beware that there are no sidewalks in most of Chiang Mai so you have to be careful), and we really enjoyed nearby food stalls each evening as well as a full night market by the north gate. (By the way, there's vegetarian food at the far east side. And there are a couple of vegetarian eateries within walking distance, though I think only during lunch.) The rooms are basic (think shelves but not dressers) but clean and comfortable; beds are Thai style so firm. The co-working/meal area is fabulous, as is the rooftop bar; we spent a lot of time in the outdoor co-working/pool area but either wore long clothes or sprayed against mosquitoes (there were just a few, and an herbal rather than Deet spray was sufficient). The pool is gorgeous but shaded and on the cold side so we mainly looked at it haha. It was getting smoky as February went on (thank goodness for a couple fluke rainstorms that cleared the air for a few days), and there didn't seem to be much air filtration so our eyes were stinging even in our room--but I think that's true elsewhere throughout the region too.

Great location for exploring downtown / old town, right next to the entry of a temple Phaya Yakkharaj (Southern Pavillion) and many other sights.
On sundays you‘ve a huge night market right in front of your door step, so make sure you’re going to stay over the weekend.
Staff is super friendly and helpful.
Room amenities and the entire minibar incl. Snake is refilled daily free of charge.
Furthermore there‘s a afternoon tea time with additional free snacks and drinks.
Just the breakfast selection could be a bit wider.
Especially when you have your breakfast close to closure (10:30am), you might be disappointed as not much will be refilled after 10am.
The room are spacious and well equipped, my kids and I had 2303 & 2302.
Just a proper hair drier is need, not this built in useless blowers we all know and hate to use.
Also the provided pillows are ultra hard and high, so you may request for a extra soft feather pillow or neck support pillow if needed, which will be provided by the hotel staff / housekeeping.
Hotel pool area is clean and well maintained!
All over a great place to stay with reasonable pricing and great service!

I am a regular visitor to Chiangmai and thought I should try out this new hotel in town. What a fabulous experience it was The room is very spacious and the hotel is decorated in a modern style, with plenty of Thai touches. The lighting is good and the mirrors in the room are great if you love a mirror selfie as much as I do. The club lounge, (known as the level) is one of the best I have experienced I loved the cocktails of the day especially the Chao Phraya one made with local rum, very delicious, and so much fun to have it made in front of us in a fabulous copper coloured shaker. The service in the club is excellent, the manager Taemasin is very charming and super helpful. He had so much passion for the hotel My only regret is that I did not get to dine in the Mai restaurant. I had seen some beautiful pictures of the food on instagram, and after I talked to Taemasin, who told me that the food is so much more special then the photos can show, I know that I will definitely be back.

This time I stayed in a two-bedroom swimming pool room. It has a sense of space and a large swimming pool. The garden setting design of the room is very good and has a resort atmosphere. I appreciate it very much. There is also a hot spring and the hotel staff are attentive. Except for breakfast In addition, afternoon tea and Mini Bar are provided every day, but the breakfast is a bit average, but the food in the ORB cafe next to it is of good quality.

HHC524Excellent hotel friendly staff and relaxing pool. Location is great but watch out for the crazy traffic light outside the hotel thar only gives you about 5 seconds to cross 4 lanes of traffic!
CCharmaine S—-The positives
Service: front desk, door men etc were very friendly and polite
Location: convenient location near the airport (15 mins away), near a shopping mall, lots of food / cafes / bars / restaurants and shops nearby at the nimman area within very short walking distance
Rooms: large, spacious, free beverage per person per night, welcome rice crackers
Negatives
1. Didn’t like the dark corridors in the hotel
2. Deluxe room was VERY dim
3. Bed was too soft and flat. Bedsheets and pillows weren’t great
4. Cleanliness was an issue. The floor and carpet didn’t feel clean but the hotel provided slippers. The worst part was the shower area 😩😩🤮🤮 mould on the floor and walls, overall grimy and slimy esp at the corners. The rest of the negatives can be overlooked but not the shower area. I literally cringed and shuddered every time I had to shower. I don’t understand how it can be so dirty?! 😩
5. The light switches were a nightmare. There were many switches at the door area and bedside (like 3 switches per side) but no instructions and they didn’t follow a pattern so you would always need to try switching on and off etc all the time just to get the room totally dark but with the bedside lamp on
6. Sounds from outside the door, next room, upstairs could be heard and it was very disturbing as the noise sounded like it was next to me all the time. There were endless footstep noises from upstairs during the night and all these noises woke me up throughout my stay. I usually sleep through the night in hotels
7. My first room, the shower area had ZERO lights and I had to bathe in literal darkness. Thankfully the front desk were very quick and efficient and got me another room to move to which was thankfully very bright with working shower lights.
8. Hotel breakfast was full of carbs and the food didn’t taste fresh or great at all :( I had spent the last 3 days at another hotel in Chiang Mai so the differences in room and bfast were really stark.
Overall, for a clean freak, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. But if you can overlook the cleanliness; the location, friendliness of staff, etc are positives you can focus on. Pics attached are of two different rooms.
GGuest UserMy family could not have asked for a better experience. Toto (our butler) and Ann (the general manger) helped make our trip especially memorable. Our kids loved Toto and continue to tell his jokes. Ann keeps a keen eye on this property, always looking to improve. Only 30 rooms allows for a quaint and serene rest. The rooms are large and comfortable. Easy distance to the walled city. The 137 pillars staff ensure a seamless stay.
AAndyktcThis quaint hotel was rather underwhelming with the service. Upon arrival, we were ”greeted” with unwelcoming receptionist. Not that we couldn't help ourselves with my one luggage, it would have been nice if an offer to help by the receptionist/bellboy. In the end we carried the luggage to our room, up 3 flights of stairs, with the receptionist walking casually behind.
Next, we had trouble with the lock to the door. The same receptionist took our key card and tried (almost breaking it with some brute force) before it worked. One of the key catd seemed to be not working. Instead of sending the replacement key card to us, the receptionist ”instructed” us to collect from the front desk. Of which, we obliged so as not be too self-entittled. It would have been nice if it was otherwise.
One of the house keeping staff (female) was consistent in maintaining her disinterest in service. When asked about the switch for the jacuzzi in the main swimming pool, she just replied ”no, no, no”.... when my friends and i asked for the pool towel from the front desk, (yes, the towel ran out and no one was there to help), the same female staff appeared with a few towels. She really looked unhappy and always like stomped off after leaving two stacks of towels thereafter. The bext day when i asked for the shower gel and shampoo to use from the front desk (since it was not replenished during house keeping) again, the same staff brought over the small bottles of shower gel and shampoo. She just left the littles bottles in my hands and turned away... when i thank her nonetheless, she walked on without turning or any form of acknowledgement. well, i supposed she must be hvaing a hard time at the workplace. I wish her well. So i informed the manager that the staff may indeed need some help to cope.
To wrap the final day (and our less pleasant stay here), my friends witness a couple of units at our block who smoked in front of their units. One even had the ash-tray on the coffee table (similar to the one left at the designated smoking area). That left us rather puzzled that why the double standards where those guests were given the liberty to smoke in front of their units and for my friends, they had to climb 3 flights of stairs to the designated smoking area each time when they wish to smoke.
Nonetheless, the manager of the hotel did her best to address our feedback when we were checking out. Thank you for listening to us.
GGuest UserI was pleasantly surprised and had an exceptional experience at De Chai Oriental. I had almost booked an Airbnb and only moved last minute to a Hotel to avail of daily housekeeping and the morning breakfast. While I was weary at first, I was extremely pleased with the quality of the room, the furnishing, the housekeeping, the quaint little breakfast and most importantly the staff. Big shoutout to Khun Jam and Khun Bow at the brekafast counter every morning. They are pleasant, hospitable and extremely kind even if it’s past the brekafast hour. Also, a big thank you to Khun Nack and Khun Wahn who helped me through tours and bookings of the elephant sanctuary, guidance with taxis for Doi Suthep and assistance with late checkout due to flight delay. Apologies to anyone whose name I may have forgotten from the front desk or brekafast room! This Hotel is close to every single coffee shop, famous eatery and bars. There are ample 7/11s, rooftop bars, McDonald’s and massage parlours around. The famous Why Not Italian restaurant is bang opposite to the Hotel door. I would recommend this place at a heartbeat and hopefully return for a stay during my next visit to Chiang Mai. Best
GGuest UserThe hotel in general is quite recommendable.
The location is good as it is inside the wall and very close to one of the main streets where you can find bike rentals, coffee, washing machines etc.
The room was spacious and the bathroom was clean and we got water bottles every day in the mini bar.
There is a swimming pool when you get into the hotel and it's okay since it's enough to refresh you from high temperatures.
The staff is friendly and recommend things to do in your stay in the city.
The room was very comfortable and the room was very comfortable.
They have breakfast available in addition to the price .
We were left after check out.
AAtthawutL Nimman Boutique Hotel: A Mixed Bag in Chiang Mai's Trendiest Neighborhood
Located in the heart of Chiang Mai's vibrant Nimmanhaemin area, L Nimman Boutique Hotel offers a budget-friendly option for travelers seeking a prime location without breaking the bank. Situated next to the popular Roast8ry Coffee Flagship Store, this 3-star hotel provides easy access to the area's numerous cafes, restaurants, and shops.
Pros
1. Location: The hotel's position in Nimmanhaemin is unbeatable. You're within walking distance of countless dining options, trendy boutiques, and local attractions.
2. Value for Money: With rates under 1,500 baht per night, it's an affordable choice in an otherwise pricey neighborhood.
3. Comfortable Rooms: While not spacious, the rooms are well-appointed and cozy. The beds are notably comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep.
4. Cleanliness: The guest rooms are impeccably clean, reflecting the hotel's commitment to hygiene standards.
5. Staff: The hotel personnel are friendly and attentive, providing good service throughout the stay.
Cons
1. Public Restroom Issues: The most significant drawback was the state of the first-floor public restroom. On both occasions I used it, I encountered extremely unsanitary conditions, with unflushed toilets. This experience was deeply unpleasant and affected my overall stay negatively.
The contrast between the cleanliness of the guest rooms and the state of the public restroom was stark and disappointing. This issue was so disturbing that it impacted my appetite for several days after the incident. It's worth noting that I reported this problem to the staff during check-out, hoping for improvement in the future.
Despite this significant issue, the hotel's other positive aspects still make it a contender for future stays. The combination of its prime location, comfortable rooms, and budget-friendly rates are strong selling points. However, the management needs to address the cleanliness and maintenance of public areas, particularly the restrooms, to ensure a consistently positive experience for all guests.
In conclusion, L Nimman Boutique Hotel has the potential to be a go-to budget option in Chiang Mai's trendiest area. If they can resolve the cleanliness issues in their public spaces, it could easily become a top choice for travelers seeking affordability without sacrificing location or basic comforts. As it stands, it's a mixed experience that requires careful consideration before booking.
GGuest UserThis is my third time staying at The Lotus Pang Suan Kaew Hotel. I love this Grand Ol Dame. She is like the Titanic which has seen its beauty and glamour in her heyday. Fortunately she didn’t sink. The breakfast is affordable and has a decent variety of food. I’ve yet to try their dinner buffet, perhaps in my future stay. This time i had a higher floor facing the Mountain View. It was wonderful waking up to that view. Looking forward to stay there again in my next trip to Chiang Mai.
AAnonymous UserA peaceful resort with cozy environment. It provides clean and big room with a private balcony. The staffs are helpful. Prices are negotiable if you wish to stay for a longer period.
It is indeed a good place to relax. Highly recommended
