During the May Day holiday, I took my child on a trip. Since it was a temporary decision to go to Chengde, I booked a room on the evening of April 29. There were no parent-child rooms. I saw that there were two separate 1.35-meter single beds in the room and decided to put them together. The 2.7-meter bed was enough for a family of three (the child was about 1.4 meters). When I arrived at the hotel, I found that there were no children's products. I called the hotel front desk to ask for children's products and soon delivered special slippers, bath towels, toothbrushes, bath gel and a thin quilt for the child. They helped us put the two beds together into a huge big bed. Since there was a plan to put the bed together, I brought a small mattress and put it on the seam, which was really comfortable. The hotel gave us a bathing ticket in Rehe. My husband went there twice and said that if the room was really crowded, the bathing overnight was also an option. The hardware was good, but there were many details about the charges. The hotel also provided a heater, which made the room a lot more comfortable after 10 o'clock in the evening. People who check in later need to pay attention: the hotel does not have soap, the shower head has no rod, which means that in addition to the sun shower head, your handheld shower head can only be fixed at a height, there are no bathroom slippers but no bathroom anti-slip mat, so you can only go barefoot. Children need to pay half price for breakfast (more than 30 yuan per time). Try to get a room near the river for a better view!

The May Day family tour in Chengde, considering the location, room environment, surrounding facilities, price and other factors, finally booked Tianbao Holiday, stayed for three nights, very satisfied.
The hotel is located in the city center, with complete surrounding facilities. Shopping malls, supermarkets, civic squares, night markets, restaurants, etc. are basically within a radius of one kilometer and can be reached on foot. It is not far from the Summer Resort, you can walk, ride a shared electric motorcycle, or take a taxi at the starting price.
Parking at the hotel is also very convenient, with parking lots on the ground and underground.
The hotel rooms are clean and tidy, and the decoration is relatively new. The room we booked has a floor-to-ceiling window with a great view! The children like to take the hotel's sightseeing elevator the most.
The staff is enthusiastic and Pingping is beyond professional and warm-hearted. There is free Tremella soup in the evening, and the children drink it every night. There is a shortage of water and laundry detergent, and the response is super fast.
Overall, the hotel is still very good, and I will choose Tianbao Holiday next time I come to Chengde!

Although it is an old hotel, it is newly renovated and very good. The facilities are complete and the hygiene is good. It is located in the city center and is convenient to everywhere. The staff are well-trained. All service staff greet each other when they meet, send desserts in the evening, and send small gifts before leaving. Special praise for the exclusive housekeeper Xiaoqiu, who enthusiastically introduced us to tourist attractions, hotel overview, and surrounding environment. He answered all questions and responded to all requests, which was touching. The breakfast is rich and varied. The hotel has underground and ground parking lots, which is convenient for self-driving.
The four-story ”Chengdeyan” restaurant has authentic dishes, sufficient dishes and inexpensive prices. It is worth recommending.

- There was a gecko coming out from the tent in our parent child room. It went under the bed and we couldn't find it. The first night, I couldn't sleep because of afraid it would come to us. When we searched the gecko, we saw plastic and bottle under the bed. I guess they don't clean the room properly.
Conclusion :
Overall this hotel is good for us during our Chengde trip. We're happy.

The location and environment are good. One thing to note is that the inn has three floors, but there is no elevator. It is a bit troublesome to live upstairs with a lot of luggage. But when we checked in, the service staff was very considerate to help us carry our luggage, and we were quite embarrassed.
Living on the third floor, you can see Bangchui Mountain through the window. The lights are on at night. Not bad.
The car can be parked in the parking lot opposite, which is very convenient. There is also a family of five cats in the parking lot.
We stayed for two consecutive days, and they came to help us clean the room and replace toiletries the next day. If there is not enough water, you can ask the waiter to help get a few more bottles.
There was a problem with the water for bathing. The water flow was very small and not hot. It may be a peak period. The store expressed apologies in time and the attitude was very good.
Overall, it is good. There is a response.

1. The room is spacious, and I especially like the large floor-to-ceiling windows. The green mountain scenery outside the window is pleasing to the eye. The night view is also very beautiful.
2. The service was very considerate. The front desk took the initiative to call us before we checked in and arranged an adjacent room for us and our parents near the elevator, which was very considerate.
3. Although breakfast is a buffet, the waiters are very diligent and take the initiative to help guests get food and tableware. They are not idle for a moment. Special thanks to the waiter Sun Lijing for taking very good care of my parents.

Tout était parfait, nous étions comme à la maison. Cho et sa famille sont accueillants et bienveillants. La chambre était très propre et spacieuse. L'endroit est calme et à quelques pas de la grande muraille de Chine.
Nous avons pris tous nos repas au restaurant familial et c'était délicieux et copieux à chaque fois.
Un rapport qualité / prix imbattable.
Cho est aux petits soins et saura vous orienter pour la visite de la grande muraille ainsi que pour organiser votre retour sur Pékin.
Une adresse incroyable où vous pouvez vous arrêter les yeux fermés lors de votre séjour à Jinshanling.

AAntoine TravelerVery nice little hotel located near the entrance of the Great Wall (please note that there is still a little bit of walking uphill to the entrance, but for us backpackers, it was perfect! We didn't have to take a taxi to get there).
There was a super nice lady (the owner?) who tried to teach us a few Chinese words and kept our bags safe while we were visiting.
The restaurant is quite nice too.

GGuest UserThe hotel is very close to the summer resort. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to the main entrance of the villa, and it is only a few minutes' taxi ride from the Waiba Temple. The lady at the front desk was enthusiastic and recommended discounted performance tickets and Bashang Grassland. I added the Rongrong Butler of their hotel on WeChat, which made it very convenient to consult if I had any questions. They sent me Chengde travel guide, which was very considerate. The room was clean and the restaurant was delicious. The security guard had a good and responsible attitude when directing the parking. We were given a plate of fruit when we checked in, and my son was given a small toy when we left. Overall satisfied and recommended.

There are also many places to eat in the surrounding area and all kinds of conveniences. The courtyard of the hotel is bright and spacious, and the parent-child room with a small courtyard is very satisfactory. The service is excellent. MMooMooooThe location of this hotel is excellent if you are wanting to do an early morning sunrise at Jingshanlin Great wall. This hotel is just right at the foot of the great wall entrance!
From the time when we check in to check out, to the staff at the restaurant, they all provided excellent service, with a good smile, friendliness and willingly to help if you have any questions. They are very accommodating for our needs as well since we have a few of us that's vegetarian.
The breakfast provided in the morning is excellent and very very fueling. Healthy too. If you want more of something that you like, they will bring it out again. We ate at the restaurant at night too, and the food was good.
The room has all the amenities you need. Too bad the spa was not open when we're there (due to maintenance).
Overall, excellent place to stay, right at the foot of the great wall. Jingshanlin Great wall is beautiful and one of the beautiful section of the great wall. Definitely worth a visit.

2204loutianshiWe decided to visit Jinshanling Great Wall on a whim. It was great to have such an affordable room during the 5.1 holiday. The owner and his family were very warm and considerate, and the food was delicious. We ordered homemade pickled cabbage for two consecutive days. I will choose this place again next time I visit. It takes about 10 minutes to walk from the store to the ticket office, which is not too far. It is also very quiet.

RRODBy far the best accommodation in Chengde, in relation between price and quality. The service was amazing!!! I don't know how much money the reception ladies make, but they deserve a raise, every single time I had a question they were able to answer, from places to go, to places to eat. Limited english support, of course, but a translation app does the job. The room I stayed in was male-only. The beds all had curtains, an indoor light, and a private plug for charging, so no complaints. The in-room bathroom was always clean aswell.
The only con would be the amenities, no towel, no toothbrush, but I had brought my own so not a problem for me, and this is begging to look like common practice at hostels worlwide. And you need to make your own bed. Aside from that everything was perfect.

GGary Ong Wei KiatAbsolutely loving this place! The vibes is totally awesome and a nice place to chill with lots of activities to do, though unfortunately we only had one night here as we only planned to hike Jin Shan Ling, but we will definitely be back for more next round!
Service and hospitality is top notch and absolutely grateful to have such a nice bunch of staff who were super friendly and warm. The hotel was near Jin Shan Ling (about 5 mins drive) and they even offered to drive and pick us to and fro the hotel and Jin Shan Ling. Within the hotel, they were concerned with us feeling cold so they ferried us to our room as our room was a few mins walk away, and fetched us from our room to the lobby when we wanted to hang out at their chill areas there which turned out to be really relaxing.
They served super sumptuous meals including a hot pot set which was great for winter and even offered us complimentary dishes as part of winter solstice.
One of the staff named Henry Zhang gave us a tour at their exhibition centre showing the various scenic areas in 四季山, 金山岭 and 北京城! We enjoyed the experience sharing from him and the explanation to the various attraction sites, appreciate the sweet gesture as he didn’t actually had to do that but he did so!
Room was absolutely great and spacious, extremely clean and comfortable with heaters inside the restrooms which was super nice. It was a good night rest for us.
Breakfast was their local dishes which was great too and super filling (buns, eggs, porridge, dough sticks, specialty cold dishes).
All in all, we had no complains from the time we checked in, super loved the experience and it definitely make us want to book another trip here again soon!

GGuest UserThe location is opposite the Mountain Resort. There is a separate building in the backyard of the Mountain Resort Hotel. It is very convenient to go to the Mountain Resort, especially in the peak season. It is very convenient to go there early. Parking is available in the yard. There is also a shopping mall nearby, and there are convenient buses to several temples. It is not far from the Erxianju Night Market and can be reached by strolling at night. This building is separated separately. The introduction says that it will open in 2022, but it does not look like it has been renovated for only 2 years. It is a bit old, but the quilt is very clean, there is no peculiar smell in the room, and the waiter's attitude is relatively good. There is no elevator in the building, the room is small, and the window looks like a residential building, but it is not noisy. The price of the room in the off-season and the peak season is quite different. Considering the above situation according to the off-season price, it is still a bit worthwhile.
