I booked last minute and ended up regretting it after a horrible $238 stay. The room was incredibly basic for the price, and the carpet looked dirty and worn, making me not want to walk on it without flip-flops. The view was another disappointment-room 201 faced an air compressor covered in cobwebs. When I mentioned it to "Sarah" via text, her response was simply, "We have no rooms with views. Thank you for your feedback." A street or pool view would've been better than staring at the back of a dirty generator. Check-in took about 15 minutes, which was already slow, but on top of that, I was charged a $15 parking fee even though there was no clear direction on where to park. When I asked about handicapped parking, I was told it was on the opposite side of the building, which was inconvenient. The room's shower was so tiny that my 9-year-old granddaughter, who is average for her age, barely fit comfortably. Although the bed and pillows were comfortable, the overall cleanliness and the outdated decor left much to be desired. I couldn't believe the low quality given the steep price of $179.55 per night, plus the unexplained $10 charge that brought the total to $238. The area came under a flood watch during the night. I received a text at 10:14 PM while I was asleep, advising me to move my car to the garage. Since I didn't see the message until morning, it would have been more appropriate for hotel staff to knock on the door to inform us of the emergency. What if our car had flooded? Breakfast wasn't any better. I was unable to eat due to my upcoming surgical procedure, but my husband and granddaughter said it was poor quality. Finally, I contacted the general manager, Melanie Brown , about these issues, and she promised a refund for the stay. However, this turned out to be a lie. Despite having email proof of our conversation, the refund never happened. This kind of dishonesty is unacceptable, especially from management ! I will never return to this location. Even if it's the last option available, I wouldn't stay here again due to the poor service, lack of cleanliness, and dishonesty about the refund to my email, that I still have the hard copies of. **Present Day** Copies of the conversation; Melaine Brown, still states that did not happen.

Friendly and helpful staff, but shower doors not properly installed and water leaked significantly. Had Samsung TVs not compatible with cable, so they gave us Roku, which had to be reinstalled if you powered off. Maintenance brought us compatible one. Ran out of half and half for coffee. Had 2% milk. Nice

This Hotel was updated, clean and spacious. The beds were very comfortable. We were welcomed and made to feel at Home as they were very accommodating. They had a place to buy snacks, drinks and even beer and wine on tap. The Free buffet Breakfast was just right. Convenient to Hospitals.

While the bed was clean and comfortable, the shower was not. Moldy inside and out and cracked tiles. We had a room with an adjoining door and we could hear the conversations of the people in the other room. Hotel moved us to another room, and the bathroom was similar. Would not recommend if a clean shower matters to you.

Great and friendly staff!!! ******* messed up our reservation and this hotel was gracious and detailed with helping us get a room!!!! The gentleman at the counter was FABULOUS!!!! Seriously this was an awesome stay and if I’m ever back in the area I will stay here!!!

Isaiah was awesome! He was very accommodating and knowledgeable of the area. Great location and great value. And if you’ve kept track on the Internet for any amount of years, you will know that Charleston is one of if not the best places to visit and or live the United States continental.

We stayed here with family members in town for a wedding. Supposedly, our “group rate” was a bargain price. However, I should have booked on one of the online sites (eg TripAdvisor) . Group rate = $249. Online rate = $168. The room itself was small, very worn and old looking. Bathroom was a patchwork, ancient disaster where the shower leaked through the sliding glass door. $15 overnight parking- a joke. “Amenities”- ha, ha..,another joke. Hotel is not close enough to downtown Charleston activities to walk. There are much better options in town.

I normally come to this property all the time. I loved the drive that the staff has at this property.Kim in house keeping is a sweet lady always speaking.Antonio that work nights is a Very helpful and hardworking person our tub was not draining he came right up and fixed it with a pleasant attitude.Alicia is a Ray-of Sunshine her and her team are awesome in the breakfast area Alicia walk around to every table taking plates and talking with every guest she see.Rochelle, Dayana and Kesha&khya are awesome also they checked me in with a smile and out with a smile. The Guy who was at the pool cleaning it was very rude and trying to be aggressive I did not get his name he was a large guy not friendly at all. the lady Manager had her guy friend chasing her around the parking lot.I was there with my wife for a week and weekend so I seen a lot that I was not suppose to see as a paying guest.My wife was terrified.the same guy we seen Chasing her we seen them coming off my floor out of a room the last couple of nights.I asked one of night guys that work there what was her role there at the property he stated oh that’s our GM she always do that.my wife was so irritated we left early a day early.i only knew she worked there because I seen her behind the front desk.
