Wonderful stay, sadly, they put us in the only room with a view! (Room V (5) Should have been advised of this, with a discount offered!) Nonetheless, the staff was wonderful as well as the location. Be advised....a taxi cannot drop/pick you up ... so be prepared to walk with luggage about 300 meters. Also, as this is a historic structure....there is no elevator. Exceptional breakfast is offered in a very scenic view of the old Harbour.

One of the best hotels ever! Perfectly located on the harbor with views of the lighthouse. The staff and service were outstanding! Beautifully preserved building, very comfortable room, outdoor terrace for dining, and many amenities. Manager was warm. welcoming, and exciting to work with.

I can’t say enough about this lovely hotel. We have been traveling for several weeks now, and this is the best. We have stayed at several nice places but this is 5 star in everything. Service, beautiful clean large rooms, amazing views, with balcony. Shower is fantastic. Breakfast served outside in the morning is served until noon! Many options for Breakfast. In the evenings, it is a great patio to enjoy some wine and listen to music. Again, the staff couldn’t be kinder , especially Eva. They have beach towels to take to the beach and provide fresh water every day in your well cleaned room. Laundry dropped off at the front desk was cleaned and sent back the same day. Lovely!!

Situato nella città vecchia di Canea all’interno di un palazzo d’epoca. Il personale è molto cortese e disponibile. La struttura è pulita ed accogliente. La colazione, servita al tavolo nella piazzetta antistante, è varia ed di ottima qualità.

This is a beautiful historic building right at the old harbour. The room was very spacious with a lovely view of the lighthouse. Breakfast was very fresh and plentiful. The staff were friendly and helpful , especially the manager Eva, who is the most friendly and welcoming person any hotel could wish for. She was extremely helpful and hospitable . We would live to come back some day!

Nous connaissons cet hôtel depuis de nombreuses années, Eva et Elena sont toujours super , les chambres sont magnifiques et la vue superbe mais les serveuses au bar et au petits déjeuners ne sont pas très aimables. De plus le petit déjeuner n’est pas aussi délicieux qu’autrefois ( les fruits de saison pommes , bananes !!!) alors qu’avant nous avions des fruits locaux fraises, cerises, oranges ….

Very nice place, and it has a lot going for itself including the view. We think one very minor hiccup is that the breakfast staff could be more than one person, who seems overworked. A buffet would have been better, and we felt like we were bothering the waitress whenever we asked for some coffee. The coffee I got was always lukewarm. But would give it 5 stars still.

Heel mooi plekje met uitzicht op de old harbour van Chania. Hebben daar ontbeten in alle rust, op een zalig terras, met één van de mooiste views op Chania. Uitgebreid en lekker ontbijt. Vriendelijke bediening. Blijkt ook een hotel te zijn, maar wij hebben hier enkel ontbeten. Aanrader !

Amazing experience staying in old fortress with view to sea. Breakfast had great choices. A bit stingy charging for second coffee at breakfast and tea and coffee supplies were not replenished in room so we ran out. Without these niggles would have given five stars.
