We stayed at the Comfort Suites in Cedar Park, TX 11/23/23 to 11/25/23. Let's start with the positives. The hotel is located near the freeway, lots of options for dining and shopping nearby. They had a comfortable bed and pillows, good water pressure, warm water and it was clean. Stephanie, the night manager who checked us in was nice and tried to be helpful. The issues we had with this Comfort Suites Hotel our room #413 had no heat. We let the night manager know and she suggested that we turn the system off for a few minutes and turn it back on to see if the system would reboot. That didn't work. For three nights we didn't have any heat. We had to turn the system off because the fan that was blowing cold air. Stephanie gave us an extra blanket and offered to give us a space heater. The next day when we tried to get a space heater one was not available. At no time was there an offer to have it fixed or to change our room. The coffee maker that was in the room did not work. When my husband filled the reservoir it flooded the tray it was on. We tried plugging it in to a different outlet and the power never came on. When we checked in a the amount we agreed to pay was charged or put on hold with our credit card company. It was the correct amount. Then next two days, I received notifications from my credit card company about separate charges...nothing that aligned with the per day amount. We were not advised that we would have separate charges day by day. Never have I seen that before in all our travels. If that change in procedure is at a corporate level, they need to notify the customers beforehand. Advise the customer when they are checking in so they know to expect daily charges. With all the credit card fraud, we keep a close eye on any charges. I asked twice to have the manager call me, but the manager never called. Apart from Stephanie the rest of the service was poor. The overall design of the bathroom was not optimal. The toilet paper holder was about 1 to 2 feet to the behind and to the side of the toilet. The shower is big, but to turn on the water you have to step into the shower, turn on the faucet and you will have cold water hit you before it gets warm. There are two small places to put your toiletries. There is one hook on the door to put your towel. Perhaps two hooks on the door or a towel bar near the shower would be a better option. We won't be staying at this location again...mostly related to poor customer service, not attending to the lack of heat and the manager not calling me as requested.
