The historic Black Hawk hotel is right in the center of downtown Cedar Falls. Numerous restaurants are within a short walk. The hotel itself is very old, but well preserved and comfortably functional. The guest rooms are very nice, with good beds, bedding and adequate bathrooms. I would stay again.

Amazing hotel! Very clean very comfortable highly recommend this hotel! Beautiful setting very clean well maintained! Downtown atmosphere was very nice and fun. The beds were very comfortable and spacious room. We will stay here again!

Vintage hotel in downtown Cedar Falls, close to restaurants and their excellent bike paths. Clean and quiet with free parking. Air conditioner worked great. Interesting shops to walk to. Free breakfast, too.

The location, setting, and room were great. The mattress and bedding were tired and need replacing. The toilet seat was loose. The vignette in the hall was lovely. Staff was friendly and helpful. The lack of a full time person was not a problem.

It is a beautifully restored hotel and the room was very comfortable. Be sure to stay in the historic section of the hotel. If you stay on the weekend, one drink in the hotel bar is free. Two minor issues: there was no soap by the sink, only a container on the wall in the shower. Also, the coffee at breakfast was very weak so we got coffee across the street. The scones are very good.

An incredibly beautiful historic hotel. We absolutely loved our stay. The staff was amazing and helpful. They want travelers to feel "at home".Convenient to town, bike trails etc. Perfect end to our road trip. Thank you!!

Love this place! The staff is awesome and the place has such an nostalgic feel! And so close to downtown! I have been here several times and would go back! My daughter is getting f married soon and we hope to have everyone stay here!

I had a weekend stay at this charming historic hotel. Didn’t move my car all weekend since the trails, shops, and places to eat where so close. Kay, Deanna, and the staff were very nice and eager to help. It was very clean and the market next door was a convenient place to get some food and snacks.

This was our 3 rd stay & will be our last stay. We were supposed to be in a king suite ($159). Contactless check in ******. No one anywhere-didn’t see anyone our entire stay. We were assigned a regular room with a queen mattress on a king frame. The in house bar was closed, as was the restaurant. A sit down breakfast used to be included. Don’t know if this was still offered as no one was around to ask. No coffee or tea in the lobby at 6 AM. We always stay here because of the convenient location to downtown but there is a Hampton Inn next door. We will be going there next visit. Very very disappointing.
