Location is great, a short 10-15 minute walk from the pretty fishing village. The hotel lacked a central point outside. The pool was very small. Sunbeds squeezed into every inch of this place. Most of these do not have an outlook or clear view of either the stunning sea view or dodgy looking pool. Tourists getting up early to put towels on beds. Catering staff were friendly, kind but looked exhausted. Reception staff were welcoming but lengthy queues quickly form around check in and check out times. The overall hotel looked run down compared to its more recently built sister next door.
In terms of food, if you prefer quantity over quality this is the hotel for you. For example, the cod pieces were so dried up you had to cut it with pressure. The meat was pretty fatty. Desserts appeared to be a big hit with the kids. The location of the outside restaurant was a winner to watch the sunsets.
This is a family hotel first and foremost.

Due to travel changes we had two nights. The first was un planned but all was great. The second night was planned and upgraded to a sea side room. The only problem, but a big one to us, was that the room was heavily smoked in. I reported this to the hotel and they promised to spray the room with freshener. And air it out. Hours later we returned to nothing happening, still smokey. It has been decades since i have endured smoke in a room, as we are nonsmokers.

There is always room for improvement
We are an older couple and having room on 4th floor (actually level 5 above ground) with no elevator was not fun at all.
Breakfast open buffet was included but the cook has no clue how to make scrambled eggs. They were actualy burned and lacked fluffness. Terrible. Orange juice didn’t tast like it originated from fresh oranges. Reminded me of tasting Soviet style juices made of coloring, sugar and water.

Expensive for little value.
Very meh, especially for the price. The room was oppressively small, and cigarette smoke smell leaked into it from the corridor. The air-con does not go below 70°--we asked for them to fix this and they said this was hotel-wide. The hallway smelled like fish, and there were constantly used dishes from other rooms just sitting on a table in the hallway. Part of the hallway ceiling had developed a leak and huge chunks of paint had fallen. They put an old blanket on the floor to catch pieces, and a caution sign next to it, and just left it like that. Also, there were screaming children everywhere, and both pools were constantly full of them. Plus, there is some "teen club" on the property that played dance musice really loudly until about 11 each night. Super obnoxious.
Nice shower, good wifi, and comfy bed, though.

Scam-ish stay, would not recommend Cavtat!!!!!!!
We had originally booked a stay at Remisens Albatros Hotel which is the sister-hotel, it was awful and did NOT match the photos online, we left 45minutes after arriving. We then booked a stay at Remisens Hotel Epidaurus, it was only 5minutes walk away. The hotel was almost full so we had to book the first night and the other days separately. We had made both reservations online, and informed the man in the reception when we arrived. He said that he would get it fixed. We had to wait five hours to get our room. Meanwhile we where informed that we could eat lunch for 40kuna per person, when we got there the lunch was 140kuna per person and the selection was poorly. We had all-inclusive but only ate the pizza, nothing else was good.
Our room was big and close. The next day we went by the reception and was told to check out, leave the room, wait five MORE hours and check in again. We had already payed for the first night and city tax the day before, but where told to pay the next four days and a new city tax to get our passports back. Our new room was a downgrade, we had to walk down one floor from the reception, then down a hall, up two floors, down a hall, up two new floors. It was far, no elevator. Also you had to pay 100kuna to RENT towels, all information was in French, only the pizza man and one lady in the resection was nice, coffee was only available at breakfast or in the poolbar. The boatstand by the road, with a young lady, was a scam pay when you enter any boat.

Rett og slett dårlig!
Utrolig misfornøyd med dette hotellet. Da vi ankom stedet var resepsjonistene lite servicevennlige. Rommet vårt var ikke rent, det var insekter i sengen, aircondition kjølte ikke godt nok. Døra til kjøleskapet var ødelagt og selve kjøleskapet kjølte ikke drikken. Dette i en periode hvor det var mer enn 35+ grader ute. Da vi gikk til resepsjonen for å klage, så var det ingen hjelp å få eller noe form for kompensasjon. Vi ba om pengene tilbake for å kunne booke et annet hotell, men det var bare å glemme! Rett og slett dårlig service. Oppå dette måtte man stå opp grytidlig om morgenen for å kunne få tak i solseng, i tillegg til at de ikke hadde nok parasoller til alle, her var det «første mann til mølla» prinsippet. Når man betaler en god sum for et opphold, så burde alt ligge til rette for en avslappende ferie, og ingen stress. Vi opplevde kun stress og dårlig service. Aldri igjen skal vi gi våre penger til dette stedet.

Unfortunately I found the hotel to be quite tired in appearance. The pools are small and dated. The pool bar and kids club area is also unattractive and needs serious updating. The outside of blocks D and E especially at ground floor level is empty and unloved. However the worst part of the hotel is the dining experience. The restaurant actually looks ok but the quality of food is markedly poor and the variety of food is also disappointing. Long queues form for the one or two appetising choices at each sitting (pancakes at breakfast or pizza at lunch and dinner). Other options look congealed, soggy and overcooked. Pasta is particularly inspiring and vegetables are shirvelled and lifeless. Drinks are also poor. Juices and colas are frankly foul mixes with carbonated water. Beer and wine are undrinkable as is the coffee. The lounge bar has zero atmosphere and nothing yo offer to keep people in the hotel in the evening. It's such a shame as the area is beautiful and it's a great location. We ended up going out to eat a couple of times at least as Cavtat and the bars and restaurants there were far more appealing. We'll be back to Cavtat but will give this hotel a miss.

Hôtel sympa et bien situé. Excursions à fuir ...des heures à la frontière.....on passe plus de temps ds le bus que dans la ville à visiter ... Club inexistant.....pas d ambiance.... animateurs bien trop jeunes et sans expérience .....Spectacle digne d un centre aéré pas d un club ..... déception
