This is an excellent hotel in all respects. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well-furnished and the hotel are set in attractive and quiet grounds, but close to bus stops into Peter Port and elsewhere. This hotel is certainly a good choice for visitors to Guernsey because of its central location. The food is first-class with a wide choice of buffet breakfast and a lunch-time and evening menu, with fish a well-deserved popular choice with guests and local people. As many have already commented, the 'stars of the show' are the staff, who, to the woman and man, are friendly, courteous, helpful and attentive. Their demeanour to guests is a credit to their own personalities and the training given by supervisors and managers. We stayed for 10 days in the Conservatory Suite, and I would thoroughly recommend this room to others. It has, as the title suggests, its own conservatory, with a door into the garden, but in a part of the garden that is not overlooked by the other guests. This additional and private space is a real bonus if you want some quiet time, and there are two comfortable chairs in it for relaxing and reading. It was definitely worth the additional cost involved and I would recommend it certainly for any lengthy stay at the hotel. The rest of the room is spacious, clean and very comfortable; the cleaning staff are very thorough in its daily clean. Overall, a lovely hotel with lovely staff.
