Tru by Hilton Raleigh Durham Airport

Decided to try out this Hilton hotel to see if I liked the vibe as much as the price. I think I’ll stick with Hampton Inns. That said, it seems to be a good option for the younger working set. The biggest issue I had with our stay was noise. There was a knocking/banging noise that would randomly occur at night and wake me up (and I sleep with a noise machine). I could not figure out what was causing the noise but It definitely impacted my sleep which is the main reason I’m ranking this hotel as low as I am. Staff was great with check in. Breakfast was ample. Room was small but clean. Bed was comfortable. But sleep is the main purpose of a hotel and seeing as I got much less than I would’ve liked my stay was less than average

This was my first time staying at a Tru Hotel, and I had a great experience overall. Although I found the room to be small, it wasn't a major issue for me. I appreciated how Tru maximized storage options—using hooks on the wall and storage space under the bed instead of a traditional closet. Given the choice, I would definitely stay at this hotel or another Tru Brand Hotel again.

This hotel went above and beyond! My son and I needed to stay here overnight because we had a 5 am flight out of RDU. The rooms were spotless, the AC was perfect, and the service was top-notch. Even though we arrived at noon (because we had to check out of our Airbnb in Chapel Hill), we were allowed to check in early. The clerk also offered suggestions of where to eat in the area. The lobby was bright and cheerful, with lots of tables and places to relax. Overall, a great experience.

Our drive took longer than expected so we needed to stop for the night. So glad we chose this Tru! They had a computer and printer for guest use. Mu daughter had forgotten to print out class noted before we left. Russel was vey patient and helpful getting those materials printed out. Crisis #1 adverted. In the morning, she needed to take her test online. I wanted to make sure she had a full uninterrupted hour which put us close to check out time. Sasha and Jasiri were wonderful and allowed us to check out an hour later. Crisis #2 adverted. This staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and appreciated. Oh, and the rooms, common areas and parking were great as well. Clean, comfortable and relaxing, that’s what we found here and another reason why I look to stay at a Tru first when the need arises.

This hotel is so wonderful. Efficient and clean. Kayla at the front desk was very professional and kind. Went above and beyond to help me with some issues. Very clean and rooms are quiet and comfortable. Convenient to airport and highways. Highly recommend Tru at RDU!

OVERALL 3/5 - WON'T BE BACK! STAY ELSEWHERE if you have children or LARGE/ NEW ***** club across the street would bother you! I'm a former "Road Warrior" having over 40 years of traveling for business both Domestically and Internationally with over 6,000 hotel stays. Elite Status With 4 major hotel chains. Wasn't recognized for being a Hilton Honors Status member for over 40 years. Appreciation of my LOYALTY to Hilton would be nice. Recognized the previous day at another Tru by Hilton in same area and every Hilton over the last 3 months. Security....2/5 Staff..........3/5 Location ..2/5 Value.........3/5 Room.........3/5 Breakfast- 3/5 SECURITY/ SAFETY What security? Wide Open hotel, doors and elevator, compared to Wake Forest, who had door and elevator Key requirement for access. I'm with my wife, so I am more concern, especially with the ***** club across the street and everything that brings! Safety(Elevator) Doors at Wake Forest Tru by Hilton like up Red or Green, so people don't try to jump in at the last minute STAFF 3/5 Older staff members & cleaning crew 5/5, even with a MAJOR Computer problem. The younger workers at the front desk 3/5. Would be a higher if they paid more attention to the guest instead of their phones! LOCATION 2/5 In the flight path of the airport and a NEW ***** club, multi floor, across the street, go ELSEWHERE! VALUE 3/5 The price was average, but NOT if you consider the noise from the planes and the ***** club and all it brings, across the street. ROOM 3/5 Smaller than Waker Forest Tru by Hilton BREAKFAST 3/5 Nothing Special, and lacking compare to other Tru by Hilton TOO MANY HOTELS THAT DON'T HAVE THE ISSUES AND APPRECIATE YOUR BUSINESS!

Great stay! Breakfast was good, oatmeal, pancakes, toast, eggs and sausage. Plus more. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Hannah at the front desk was really awesome and made our checkout process really enjoyable. My only complaint was the shuttle service. I called at 12:10am and they said shuttle service ended at midnight, starts again at 4am. So I had to take an Uber which cost about $15-20. Going to the airport, the airport shuttle is a minivan and fits maybe 5 people max with luggage. I think they leave twice an hour and the van fills up quickly, so reserve early! Overall, nice stay. 🙂

It had such an opportunity to be a good place to stay. It is 3 minutes from the airport. We did a stay, park and fly at TRU. We had a very early departure flight which is the reason we do a park and fly. Getting to the airport was fine, no problem. The room itself is very minimalist. Nothing cozy or welcoming. When we asked about our return to the hotel, well, what a different story. Our flight arrived to RDU at 12:30. Too late for the hotel shuttle (read the fine print please). We were told to call a cab, Uber make arrangements. Also, the desk is not available. We would have to do a some sort of virtual check in. Good luck. As it happened, we were able to get on an earlier flight. We arrived at 10:00. We called for a pickup. Remember, the hotel is 3 minutes away. We waited 45 minutes to get picked up. Unbelievable! Had to call twice to get picked up. We got complimentary water and a snack……wow! Not enough to make up for waiting in the cold. This hotel is off our list. Never again. Such a pity. We travel regularly as do our friends. We will not recommend this as a place to stay, park and fly.
