The beds were like falling in clouds and the room was always immaculately clean 😁 the decor in the lobby was well thought about. But my favourite part was the staff they were sooo nice and engaging, nobody seemed like they were not enjoying work and they were very courteous and willing to assist at anytime. Big shout out to my favourite bar tender Luis from the lobby Angél from the Roof top bar, Leslie our lifeguard, Camilla one of our servers Daniella and Oneyeda from Reception and the ever so kind housing keeping staff and the the General Maanger Jacqueline. Shout out to Johnathan and Kenin and Mateo. You all made us Jamaicans who are hard to please very welcomed keep up the good work. The only thing I will say is that breakfast needs to be a bit more diverse as it was the same thing everyday that can get boring. P.S these guys need better pay for the service they Provide.

I had stayed at the Allure Chocolat in the past and loved it. I loved the room, rooftop pool and pool bar, great staff and good breakfast. Location is excellent, close to the walled city. I booked this return trip to stay at the Chocolat only to arrive and after checking in the front desk man said by the way our pool is closed during your stay for a private group. Note their their rooftop pool and pool bar is a key reason for staying here for me. I then asked why they was not stated at the time of booking the room and he couldn't answer that but said don't worry, we will send you in a taxi or shuttle to another hotel to use their pool. Unacceptable. I was upset and asked to speak to the manager. His option was to transfer us to their other hotel Allure Canela which has a pool. He said it's close and easy walking distance to the walled city and it would cover my need to have the pool on site without the hassle of taking taxis or shuttles to get to the pool. So I agreed and regretted it. Allure Canela is a nice hotel, but smaller, noisy location and the pool is the size of a large bathtub and seeing all guests was going there from all 3 Allure hotels in town, it was quite busy with no deck chairs to use most of the time. So the point of this feedback is based on the poor management decision of the Allure Chocolat to block the pool for a private group and not warn guests booking rooms on those dates. I feel this was deceptive and ended up paying too much for a room in a hotel in not so great location. I did get free meals for 2 nights, but this didn't make up for the inconvenience and excitement of staying at the Chocolat.
I will highlight the front desk man Felix. He was very nice and tried to help at Chocolat when he had to tell me about the lack of pool facilities. Very nice man.

Our stay was basically to have a nice bed to get good rest (My child had a sport competition in the city). This is a very basic hotel. Rooms are really small. With a double bed and an auxiliary bed, you barely have space to move. So, if you suffer from claustrofobia, this is not the hotel for you. Also, windown are not good to isolate noise from the street, even for us staying at floor 12th. Food is average to bad. Had dinner on our first night and it was not pleasant. Pasta is terrible (Is kind of hard to mess up a pasta plate) and I had a very salty, dry sandwich. Breakfast is limited, with the usual scrambled eggs, bread, fruits, cereal and 1 local food choice. If you are in a hurry, and only need a place to crash overnight, this hotel may be ok. For other type of stay, I wont recommend it.

I was upgraded to this property from the OZ luxury hotel. I was pleasantly surprised by this action and enjoyed the larger room. I’m not sure what there is to complain about for this hotel. The staff were so friendly and attentive. The check-in process was easy and when we asked for recommendations for restaurants they were happy to help. Breakfast each morning was different Columbian cuisine which I enjoy when traveling. It was fresh with a good variety of choices. If the local cuisine is not your liking they make eggs to order which is a nice added touch. I loved being in the Bocagrande area it isn’t as busy as the walled city it is more of a beach town vibe. Uber to the other attractions ranged from $3-6. I can say I fell in love with this property and Cartagena and look forward to coming back soon.

Family trip to Cartegena with our 2 early 20's daughters. Fantastic location and quality. Beds super comfortable and rooms were spacious. After touring city we spent afternoons on roof top pool/bar. Hotel arranged a day trip to a sister hotel on Isla Tierra Bomba. Great facility. Entire staff was extremely helpful and service oriented.

Great service. Great location. Fantastic breakfast and even better tasting menu at 1621 Restaurant!! Highly recommend. Concierge, Gabriel, was very helpful. He set up a personal walking and driving guided tour with Roco. It was well worth it in order to get a nice tour of the entire city. David, the bellhop, was equally friendly and gave a tour of the hotel with an explanation of its history.

Location was great, right beside the beach and easy walking distance to many restaurants in Bocagrande. Breakfast was included and the buffet selection was varied and tasty. On our last day we checked out in the morning and stored our luggage for the day. I explained to the clerk at the front desk we were going to Playa Blanca for the day and asked if we could get some beach towels and she said no problem. She also suggested that when we return later that afternoon to get our luggage we could use the showers and change room beside the pool to change out of our beachwear. I thought this was great service considering that we were technically no longer guests. That kind of service will keep us returning to Hotel Dann.

Outstanding
KKarlVincentRothThis place is simply amazing. My girlfriend and I decided to stay here for the first two nights in Colombia and we couldn’t have been happier with our decision. We stayed in the Africa suite - the room was clean, beautifully decorated, and had so much charm. The bed was comfortable and all the amenities were as advertised. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg. The staff here is truly what deserves a stellar review. We arrived late and even before our arrival, the owner Marcus had responded to us promptly with info about checking in. When we got there - Franc (François) was waiting for us and gave us a quick and thoughtful tour of the BnB and was so kind and informative with any and every question we had. He made the trip for us. Such a wonderful human being. The next morning we had an amazing breakfast that was cooked to perfection and was greeted by their resident tortoise on the premises - such a cute lil guy, as well as Marcus who was just as welcoming and kind as he was on the phone. When we left, Roman was working and set us up with a cab to the bus station and was equally kind and helpful. I could go on - but just do yourself a favor and book this BnB. I’ll be going back the next time I come back to Cartagena - and any time after that.
LLauren RI stayed here for about 5 nights while visiting Cartagena for a friend's wedding. I highly recommend staying here. Casa del Arzobispado is beautiful from the pool to the small details. The breakfast included was soooo good every morning, and staff were incredibly kind and helpful to me as a solo traveler. I also appreciated the security of having staff monitoring the entry door to the property and lobby late at night. You can walk anywhere from the location and will be happy to return to the peace of the courtyard and the beautiful room afterwards.
WWilliamAbsolutely fantastic. This is a quiet small resort with maybe 14 rooms. 1.5 hours from Cartagena City. A bit of a harrowing drive, but definitely worth the trip. Once you get in through the doors, it’s beautiful & peaceful. Balinese type style. Not a five-star resort but they do a really nice job. Very well staffed so you have somebody to help you if you need anything. Very quiet. No telephones, no tv’s in room. Rooms are spacious, private, very comfortable. Two small beaches on either side of the main area. All open-air reception, Restaurant. One restaurant iwth 2 levels. Food was actually terrific. Best food we had in Colombia. We were there for three nights and absolutely loved it. lots of daytrippers, people coming in from Cartagena on boat to spend the day at the resort. Was nice. Will definitely come back. Thank you to Lordy who took such nice care of our family. Special place.
GGuest UserI've been @ Santuario much longer than planned due to some health issue. So, I had the time to highly appreciate not only the hostel itself, the great vibe and atmosphere, the fantastic beds setup where you have plenty of space (!) plus an unusual total privacy, like you have a mini room inside a room, but especially the people: staff is great and really cares the guest, while sick I had a family like surveillance, especially Stefy ”la chica del bar”, Kathy (cleaning & kitchen) and Jose (maintenance) never missed supporting me and asking genuinely interested how I was feeling. In a difficult moment, I was in the right place, thanks them! One only thing disturbing me was, the aircon management: ok it was on only evening and night, quite usual, problem was a person feeling cold was enough to shut down the aircon for everyone... and it was hot then... i love freezing, ok, but a correct balance would be the best, suggesting who's cold to wear a t-shirt should work, and others won't sweat ;-)
GGuest UserLocation: City Center (Old Town Cartagena) is 15 min- 25 min away depending on traffic. If you don't care about seeing old town, then this may be ok. The hotel is located at La Boquilla next to a bad neighborhood, so be aware of people harassing you at the beach at all times, and keep an eye on your belongings. When you leave the hotel always walk to the right towards the city, don't go left or you may find yourself in a very bad location really fast. This is a special note to women traveling to Colombia. Hotel: Clean, food is ok not great, staff was friendly except for the people at the front desk. They seemed to be always busy, and behind their daily duties, so they will rush you, and not give you proper attention, they need at least another person at the front desk at peak hours. Pool is ok, service at the pool was good. They will ask you to provide a pass to get a towel, so don't loose the pass or the towel, you may get charged for it. (Not a fancy systems) Reminds me of hotels in Colombia back in the 80's when towels were a luxury. Beach: Biggest disappointment of the trip, water is dark, and the sand is gray/brown. You cannot see your feet with a foot of water on them. Note that as soon as you come out of the hotel towards the Beach there is a security guard from the Hotel at the door, part of his job is to advised you to watch your belongings, and not to buy anything from beach vendors. This gives you an idea of this beach. Forget about bringing your own umbrella or beach chair, there are vendors that have taken possession of the beach by renting umbrellas and chairs, if you don't rent from them, you will be left out to use a small portion of the beach very close to the water. My advised is to pay the $5 dollars and rent from them. Beach vendor will harass you all day long. Avoid buying food and always ask prices up front before ordering drinks or anything else. There are horror stories of people paying $25 for a Coke. I don't recommend this place for families, or for single women visiting the city, much better options in Bocagrande or Old town. The place is ok for single guys or business. Hope this helps,
GGuest UserAll rooms overlook a central courtyard, which is nice but not practical as people are always passing by so you can’t leave the window open as you get no privacy. The curtain is not a curtain but a rolling blind, so either shut or open. My room happens to be on the ground floor, where the restaurant is. It may be better on the other floors. So just artificial light.
There is also no desk in the room. Otherwise the room is decent and clean.
The breakfast is simple but good with coffees, juice some fruit and an omelette.
The place is secure and the reception have to open for you to go in and out. Location wise it’s pretty good as well as it’s within the wall but not where wll tourists hang out. Pretty safe
Check in strictly at 3pm even if the room is available 😅
This was my first visit to Colombia and it was a blast! This was due in large part to my stay at this Hampton Inn at Bocogrande Beach. Very nice hotel, great location, very friendly and helpful staff, they served the best breakfast I have ever had in a hotel which was complimentary. I spent a couple days on the rooftop pool and bar. There is a safe in the room. The hotel does not offer any rooms with a king size bed, no mini fridge but really no complaints. Everything was around the hotel. So many bars, restaurants, some casinos. I would definitely look to stay here again on my next visit.
2282catThis is a well managed hotel. The facilities are modern. The hotel is ideal if you have a car, or will move by taxi or Ub... since Cartagena's Transcaribe Public Transit does not reach ”La Boquilla” area. The beach is across a highway overpass. The breakfast is on the light side (there is no breakfast buffet) but reasonable in calories and well cooked. I loved the corn dough empanadas filled with meat, I had never tried them before and they were a treat. You can also have a two eggs omelette with coffee or two eggs any style. I praise the personnel at this hotel, and the vigilance of management. The beach across the highway is not for instagram, but that is one of the cleaner strips within the city of Cartagena.
GGuest UserYou can have a really good time in this hotel, the food in the restaurant is really good and the service is even better, the rooms are comfortable and the employees are kind, friendly and good at doing their work. Congratulations to all the employees, especially Alonso from the restaurant who was charismatic and professional.
GGuest UserThe location of the hotel and the environment are excellent, but the front desk staff is too bad, not as good as domestic, two rooms, one check-in for 2 hours, and one check-in for five hours. Check out inexplicably, there was an extra bill in the room. I chatted with the same Chinese who checked out and said that this was normal. He misremembered his consumption in other rooms. Fortunately, I found that it was changed back. It was too ink...
