My husband and I have been owners at Aviara for 22 years and our family always looks forward to spending time at this facility. This year there was a clear decline in service. During our week stay, we had to call housekeeping every single day to request more of the standard items- towels, shampoo, kitchen or washing soaps. Things like Kleenex or paper towels were never replaced when they ran out. Though all the staff was pleasant, there was absolutely no follow through with actions. I had mentioned three times- pre-check-in, at check-in and at checkout that it was my daughter’s birthday and she had had a very hard year. I requested balloons or such to celebrate, but nothing was done until we were literally departing and then only because I mentioned it to the manager. I know this is not standard procedure for a Four Seasons. Many activities were not operating yet and that was a disappointment. There was no kids club, and except for one Saturday activity there was nothing scheduled for children. When our children were young, there was so much activity available and that is not the case. This was not a typical Four Seasons experience and we were all disappointed that it didn’t live up to our pre-Covid experiences.

The location of the hotel is very good, it is definitely a summer resort in summer. There is no hotel private beach at all. Don't even think about it except to see a small bay or beach. The price is not cheap, nearly 500 dollars a night, the hotel only provides a few pool bubbles. There is a golf course, and the hotel staff is absolutely top-notch service, which is commendable.

The room, definitely needs an upgrade. A desk chair that is not ripped, a bathroom mirror that is hung straight and a TV unit that is not scratch, oh an a TV with more than about 10 digital channels would be nice. We didn’t get hand soap to wash our hands in the bathroom, I asked about this and apparently there was none. Very unhygienic of the hotel not to offer soap considering the last two years of life. Also your elevators certificate is out of date. Breakfast is nice, they are all the same only I would like to just have staying guest attended breakfast. As on a few occasion people entered straight from the street one lady that helped herself too breakfast even had an ankle monitor on and was quite happy to tell everyone trying to eat breakfast. If breakfast is open to helping people that need it, I understanding only it would be nice for paying guest to know that breakfast is open to anyone that knows about it. During our stay we had a group of school soccer players over two days, which means that more food is generally eaten and drunk. Two mornings we had to use milk that was not in the individual cartons, bananas were never seen after day 1, yogurt choices were down to one and no hot chocolate. Yes, it is hard to keep everyone happy with supply but this group of school kids would have booked in advance, maybe the hotel should prepare for this situation. Room service, I did not put out the green sign and wanted my room cleaned, do you think it happened? No, I went to reception to ask why and was told that they are under staffed and had to clean a 5th of the rooms. I am glad that me as a guest is not seen as a priority to have a roomed clean, clearly my hard earned money is not worth the time. As a hotel guest you pay to have these services if the hotel can not offer these services, tell the guest or offer a discount for half the services of the hotel. Pool, the morning of Sunday at my stay I went for a swim, around 10am. Firstly the pool was not open, it apparently opens at 9am. Once we got it open pool towels were not available as they were all over the ground from the day/night before. Yes, I know it is hard to get staff, if this is the case close half the hotel and let the guests know otherwise you are expecting these facilities to be functional and up to some sort of standard when paying full price for a stay.

This motel is quite large. We just happened to catch up with the holiday price of the Christmas holiday. It is a little inconvenient that the room does not have a refrigerator and a microwave oven. Heating the food should go to the public area.

There are several kinds of bread, waffles, milk, juice, eggs, meat patties for breakfast... There is no way to meet the standard requirements of international hotels, but you can have enough, American breakfast is like this! The room was really small enough to look like only one elevator was dirty and far from my room! The guests of the accommodation are also compared... The corridor is the big corridor. In the morning, there are shit in the hallway, and the children cry in the middle of the night. The restaurant for breakfast is very small. There are several tables, one or two American families, chatting there. Laughing! At the time of check-in, I also caught up with an aunt who was communicating with the front desk about the loss of her mobile phone. In short, it was a little unsafe!

Excellent
TTravlprincessBooked this property based on experience at other Home2's, but IMO, it fell short of the standards for the brand. The front desk staff were all friendly and helpful, coffee and tea kept stocked, and location great for those going to Legoland. However, the king suite with curtain didn't offer the privacy for one person to sleep and the other to read or do anything besides sit in the dark, as the curtain is translucent and doesn't filter light (see photos). To make it worse, lamplight reflects off the TV screen, doubling the effect. Room doors will either slam loudly or, if one tries to not slam it, will not quite close completely to lock without an extra tug, a safety issue. Biggest disappointment was with the breakfast area, which appears to have staffing and resource management issues (see photos). The hot dishes are not labeled. I thought the pan of white mystery clumps contained fresh cheese curds at first, an unusual offering, but whatever... Then I took a bite...disgusting...imagine what unseasoned boiled earlobes might taste like. I had to ask what it was when I could finally locate someone working in the kitchen. It was supposedly scrambled egg whites, which made a daily appearance the week I was there, along with pork sausages (had to ask about that, too, since I don't eat pork). Gluten-free options are limited to proteins and fruit, with Cheerios in a large dispenser, subject to cross-contamination. Fresh fruit was not wrapped. I saw one guest handle each and every apple before he selected one. Ewww. Each day, there was a shortage of plates (see photo with no plates under or on counter). I was delighted to finally be able to eat on my last day there, when the pre-packaged hot bites included a delicious gluten-free frittata instead of the Jimmy Dean pork breakfast sandwiches which had been the only choice for days before. Will probably stay somewhere else next time.
LLEIThe rooms are very large and clean. The pool is divided into adults and children. The children must go to the children's pool every day. There is a great beer house restaurant at the entrance of the hotel. You can solve the problem by visiting Legoland. Outlet is less than 5 minutes drive from the hotel, recommend the Grand Pacific Hotel to Legoland, walk no more than 10 minutes
GGuest UserThe hotel is worthy of being a Hilton, with drinking ice water, hot springs and swimming pools. It is very close to Legoland, a 10-minute walk, and not far from the beach, where you can see the sunset over the sea. The American restaurant in the hotel has authentic taste and large portions.
TTONGIf you want to go to Lego, the hotel location is very good, you can go directly to Lego's back door, and the hotel has a special LEGO front desk, she gave me two tickets, meaning that adults buy an adult ticket, children are free, we are just It is a family of four, it took more than 260 knives, bought two adult tickets, including the aquarium! The poolside environment is very good, the night pool is warm water, children are very happy!
RRUIThe front desk service was huge. We arrived at the hotel at around 12 o'clock in the evening. We had a long-distance drive all day. We thought that the sheraton service could not be bad. I knew that the front desk was a fat white man. When I checked in, I kept rolling my eyes all the time. When I applied for membership, I was too sleepy and didn't respond. I asked a question. The front desk immediately replied, ”I am very busy today, don't ask me to see it yourself.” At that time, I thought it might be too late. The front desk had emotions, and it was true that in April, it was obvious that the trash was a hostile phenomenon. After the completion of the process, I did not tell me how to find the room, just an understatement, ”Go through the door.” As a result, there was only 3 floors in the back of the lobby, and our room number was 50. I asked him back. He confirmed that he was on the 5th floor. He immediately left the lobby and told him not to look back. In desperation, I had to bite the scalp on the third floor. Fortunately, I met a couple of black couples who went downstairs to buy wine in the middle of the night. They were very friendly and said that they also found a room for a long time during the day. The actual situation is that the sheraton hotel and the next resort share the lobby and porch. You need to go upstairs through the hotel room corridor, find a glass door at the end, swipe the card and then take the elevator to the resort floor. On the night of the check-in, I sent a complaint letter to the Shereton complaint mailbox. It has been two months since I saw it. Today I saw the app reminder comment. The disgusting feeling of Lima is coming to the fore, and I have to give a bad review.
LLEIIn a square, across the road is Ole Ole is close to the hotel. There are seven or eight restaurants on the side of the hotel. There is a free shuttle bus to Legoland. The parking place is 10 meters next to the park gate. It is more convenient and cheaper than own parking!
The room facilities are relatively old. The two-story small building before the cycling hotel was surrounded. A small pool can be called a resort hotel. The resort fee is also collected. For the resort fee, you have to go for a swim. Breakfast is better than the room Be average.
But look at the price compared with the surroundings. The location and the tip are not too cute to the shuttle driver. I will choose here next time.
FFEIFEIHow should I evaluate it? The front desk service is still very good, because my family had a wounded man with a broken leg and crutches. I specially arranged the first floor and showed me first. But when I entered the hall, the cleaner was mopping the floor and the floor was slippery. My patient fell again and was injured twice. The most important thing is that, for some reason, Ctrip sent a text message saying that we did not check in and deducted another time. I wonder if it's a Ctrip problem or a hotel problem? In short, the communication is not smooth. This is the second time that the check-in information cannot be checked for repeated deductions during this trip to the US Causes us a lot of trouble. I hope Ctrip will pay attention to it instead of blocking my comments
Budget Motel, obviously run 'on a budget'. Our ground floor room (123) was clean and basic, no frills, just in need of some upgrading and a fridge/coffee maker, etc, etc. This however would then increase the daily rate for the room. We felt safe, the bed was fine, aircon wasn't noisy, shower worked and the towels were adequate. Sure we've stayed in better places, but this was a great price and where we wanted to be (walking distance of 'down town' Carlsbad). No bugs, no problems, front of house staff pleasant enough, decent care free stay of two nights.
GGuest UserWe had booked 2 rooms at this hotel for a Carlsbad weekend. It was simply the worst hotel we had ever seen. The hotel looks very nice from the outside. It was not what we expected at all. In order to utilize the kitchen facilities and a coffee maker, you had to check them out at the front desk. There really was no breakfast facility as advertised. They said they put some packaged goods on the table by the front door. When we got to the room, it smelled and did not feel clean. We didn't feel that the sheets were clean and looked for bed bugs quite honestly. My girl friend said she would sleep with her clothes on because it felt so dirty. My son and his wife moved three times trying to find a decent room. We tried to move as well. They offered us the first room he was assigned and turned down. When we went to the second room they offered, there were rings from drinks on the kitchen counter and what appeared to be a significant amount of ashes in the bathroom sink. At that point, we went back to registration and they offered to cancel our reservation. The front desk was very accommodating, so we were very happy with their response. They were the best part of our experience. We left and I couldn't get the smell out of my nose for almost an hour. It was a combination of cooking smells and cleaning fluids. The word that we all kept saying was that it needed to be a demo and total rehab. It was probably the worst hotel experience any of us have ever had.
