The hotel was out of this world.The staff were friendly and extremely helpful .The hotel’s cleanliness was breathtaking .My room was nice and spacious The hotel bar has an outside are where you can chill and have a cocktail .The hotel also has a restaurant,you don’t have to order in or go out to eat because the food was very good .I cannot wait to be back and experience the pool area

We stayed here as our first stop on our honeymoon and it did not disappoint. The staff were welcoming and attentive, booking us tickets for the table mountain cable car and recommending what tickets to get having checked wait times. The food at the restaurant was lovely and the cocktails at the bar were delightful. We even received a very kind handwritten card congratulating us on our marriage. I had a massage at the spa which was one of the best I have had with the massuer focusing on what my body needed rather than following a defined plan. All in all, would highly recommend and if we come back to cape town we will definitely book again.

Really nice hotel. Staff were friendly and the room was always cleaned well. The rooms are fairly modern too. Comfortable bed and pillows. Nice bathroom too. The location is absolutely fantastic with lots of good restaurants and bars around, but since it is slightly off the main street you do not hear any noise at all. Important to note is that unlike Long Street, the restaurants and bars around here do not play loud music so you will be able to sleep here with no problem at all! Only issue is the quite early checkout time of 10am. I had to leave at 9am anyway to catch a flight, but 10am is quite early for checkout as far as international standards go. A lot of hotels have checkout at 12, or 11am at the earliest, so I would suggest the hotel pushes the checkout time back a bit. Other than that, great stay!

What a amazing venue! Beautifully and tastefully decorated with a stunning entrance and facade. The afternoon tea was sublime…the choices of extra delicacies are a wonderful touch. Loved every second of our visit. A massive thank you to Cheslyn our hostess: attention to detail second to none. Clear commitment to customer service excellence and customer experience maximisation. A credit to The Mount Nelson establishment. Lucian the sommelier was also brilliant too.

Having travelled extensively and stayed in numerous hotels worldwide, I can confidently state that my recent experience was the worst ever. Despite seeing several negative reviews about their service, I thought they were just occasional lapses. However, I soon discovered that the hotel had a persistent service problem. I had a problem with my reservation and spent two days trying to resolve it, but no one cared. To make matters worse, I was charged ten times the amount I had originally paid for the same room (i.e., $300 instead of $30) without any reasonable explanation. When I questioned this, the staff merely shrugged it off, citing fluctuating prices as the reason. The lady in charge of reservations was extremely rude and disrespectful throughout the ordeal. In addition to the issues with my reservation and the exorbitant charges, the air conditioner was not working properly and made a lot of noise. Furthermore, the fridge in my room made a huge noise, which disturbed my sleep at 2 am (I recorded a video as proof). Moreover, the noise levels in the dormitory were unacceptable all the night! making it impossible to get a good night's sleep. In short, I urge anyone considering staying at this hotel to think twice and look for other options.
