All the restaurants were amazing. From breakfast through to dinner. Despite Clara’s Barn being a fine dining experience, they accommodated both of our kids. Rooms were fantastic, massage top notch with friendly staff.

Attention to every detail, with rooms equipped with every confort, with friendly staff available to help at all times. The restaurants are exceptional and we had a sublime culinary experience at every meal. Beds and bed linen are of the utmost comfort.

Laid back luxury What a perfect retreat after a long flight from the US. This property is pristine, beautiful, and superbly managed. We enjoyed friendly hospitality from arrival to checkout and loved the understated elegance of the rooms and grounds. The wine tasting was the icing on the cake after the tour of the historical homestead. We wish we could have stayed longer!

The food and wine was beyond expectation, both the fine dining at Clara’s Barn and the more informal Gewels. Excellent wine tasting. Cabernet Sauvignon ‘21 delicious. Service excellent. Accommodation was contemporary and comfortable and plantation just happening. Will look stunning I’m sure in a few months

Vergenoegd was fantastic. Highly recommend your first 2 nights from the Cape Town airport or even the last 2 nights before the airport. 2 nights minimum so you can enjoy the spa, the food ( excellent) , the wine ( or bar cocktails!) and of course the ducks! The team has taken special attention to all the details in your room & the stay to make your experience one to remember. I wish I had more time there.

Great place to visit, Nice rooms with a private plunge pool (heated) in the middle of the wine fields. Close to the airport (you do not hear the planes). Restaurant is great, and also they do wine tasting with local food bites. I know there are a lot of good wine estates where you can sleep but you have to consider this as well. The rooms are very new and modern, minibar included, lots of green and outside space. The 2-bedroom villa's have a private fireplace. And in the morning there is a "duck" surpise.

Amazing hotel. Beautiful property, outstanding service, delicious food! The overall experience was great! The rooms are super nice and aesthetic, everything is new and tidy. Everyone working there want you to really enjoy the whole thing. All of them very very nice and helpful. Wine and food absolutely delicious and the ducks were great!

We had a wonderful stay at Vergenoegd Löw. From the moment we arrived to departure we got very well taken care off. The staff was very attentive and friendly and the rooms was beautiful! We tried the tasting menu at Clara´s barn that was extraordinary. All different flavours in a perfect harmony!! In the morning we went up to meet with the famous ducks on their way to work in the wineplantations. Wine was yummy and I had one of the best massages in a long time at the spa. All in all we had the most amazing stay!

The staff at the property was amazing. And even with load shedding being such a big issue in South Africa I barely noticed it at all. Everything was clean and staff was super efficient and helpful. I had an amazing time staying at vergenoegd and will definitely visit again
