I have recently returned from a further stay in the self-catering unit at St Stephens Guest House, in Canterbury. As before, all is very good. This being the quality of furnishings, bedding and just about everything in the unit. In a way, it is so good, it is like a home from home and that sort of thing is rare to find. The unit is also very quiet. No noisy neighbours to have to worry about. I am starting to visit Kent on a regular basis and the self-catering unit at St Stephens Guest House, is my first choice for accommodation, when visiting the area. One thing I like about Canterbury is that most of the centre of the city is pedestrianised or the traffic is restricted to a degree that you can walk about, with ease. Many people, I have noticed, simply walk on the roads, such is the low level of traffic in the centre. This makes for a very pleasant environment. There are many routes and quirky paths/river walks to take to get you where you want to go. This particularly useful if you want to walk to either Canterbury West or Canterbury East train stations, or even the bus station, all of which I used a great deal. I have no hesitation in recommending the Guest House, for people planning to visit and stay in Canterbury.
