Absolutely brilliant we were there for 2 weeks and after reading all the negative reviews I started thinking 🤔 have we made a mistake Definitely not we couldn't find fault with anything I have IBS and I'm lactose intolerant I asked Angel at the reception if they did soya milk And the very next day Christina the waitress brought it out for me as soon as I walked into the restaurant The food suited us perfectly the chef new i had stomach problems and he kept asking me if I was okay with the food. Plus he cooked separately for me Where else could you get service like that. We met people who returned year after year. We have already booked again for 2025 Yes it's more for older people so it suited us perfectly A special mention to Angel at Reception as he was a real gem And Christina the waitress was just perfect Beds were comfortable and the wife was superb The local bar was great for relaxing We just can't wait to return. Many thanks to the whole team at the Bonsai hotel you really made our holiday

The hotel is clean and close to the beach. Staff so friendly and great at their jobs. Great air-con but that is it. Beds hard and just couldn't get a decent nights sleep, waking up aching all over. As for the reviewer saying about the food being hot, well, that was a joke. Breakfast, scrambled eggs were excellent but fried potatoes, beans, were not hot just slightly warm, and as for the mushrooms, always cold. Dinner, not much better. For the seven nights we were there, only two nights we had a decent meal. Food was generally bland and more of the 'cheap' cuts of pork. Again, some of the veg was not that hot. This is the first hotel we have been in where after dinner, you can't get a coffee or tea unless you go into the bar and pay for it. On the plus side, there was a mini market (Spar type shop, see photo) directly opposite the main entrance where you could get water, 7 up etc, crisps/snacks and a reasonable selection of wine and the manager made us feel like locals, so friendly and helpful. The hotel bar was OK with a pint of lager at 2.5 Euros and the baguettes were lovely, so were the cocktails.

Don't go if the chef is not there as food prepared by the waiter, our 2 toasted cheese and ham sandwiches maybe winked at the toaster on the way out to our table, bread was off white the cheese was cold as was the ham, the chips were raw. But the food was better than the waiter/chief who acted like a spoilt 4 year old with added rudeness. So check the chef is in as he arrived back when we left. As you can see from picture from colour of the bread and cheese like it was straight out of the rapper. Main reason for review was the attitude of waiter.

We have just spent 2 weeks at Stil Bonsai and had a fantastic holiday. This is a small, no frills hotel and excellent value for money. Its in a great location 25 mins walk from can picafort. Hotel is 2 mins from beach in heart of Son bou. Hotels bar over looks the little square with fountain, where you can relax people watching till your hearts content. The hotel is dated but spotlessly clean and has great air-con. We were half board. It was so nice not having to walk round a huge resturant, looking for a free table, queuing for food. Less choice but the breakfast was excellent. We had just a couple of evenings where it was tricky to make up a meal ( veg etc) like most hotels but otherwise food was great. All fresh cooked and piping hot. What really makes this hotel so speacil is the staff. They go over and above and make you very welcome. A speacil mention for the excellent, hard working, proffessional waitress Cristina who is the heart of the hotel. The resturant is so well organised. She greets each and every guest, nothing is to much trouble and is so attentive to the needs of guests. Greatly missed on her days off. *Please note - if you have difficulty with stairs there is only 1 lift in the hotel and no ground floor rooms should there be a problem with the lift.

I initially read all the reviews after booking this holiday and was concerned that we were going to be eating at various restaurants because the food is reputabley so awful. I have to say, there is always something to eat and Ifound it quite amusing watching what other holiday makers would put on their plates as a side dish; one person had mashed potatoe with pasta in a marinara sauce , my husband included. An example of the food on offer on one evening: grilled pork ribs, roasted chicken with green beans, potato wedges, croquet potatoes, sprouts, and pasta with Mediterranean roasted vegetables in a marinara sauce and on the salad bar: Lettuce, olives, Pickles, beetroot, Peppers, tomato and tuna. On the side there are always bread rolls and a soup of the day. Now for the desserts: two different flavours of homemade icecream flavours of the day, cold rice pudding, a flavoured jelly of the day, a roulade, a cake of the day, plus others. The food through the hour and a half is plentiful, nothing ever runs out as they are forever adding more and they positivity encourage you to go back for seconds. If you are looking to experience Spanish food you can either have a wonderful lunch at one of the Spanish restaurants facing the sea view or have an odd evening out for a Spanish meal, either way you will not go hungry. My only gripe are the times of the evening meals which is between 19:00 until 20:30, I don't think I have ever eaten so early whilst on holiday, usually we would have a cocktail first then eat, so we just switched it around, no big deal. The roof terrace is lovely and with a breeze it was very pleasant and usually only one or two other people were there, I was looking forward to the hammocks, but sadly they were no longer there; the indoor swimming pool was lovely and cool especially after an hour on the roof terrace, there were times I saw one or two other people there or generally I was by myself in a private pool, yes the ceiling needs redoing, but not a massive issue, there is no gym equipment and the sauna isn't on, although for a sauna just step outside the hotel. We stayed at this hotel for two weeks and cannot fault it. The staff are exceptionally helpful day or night, they are so friendly and very proud of their hotel and food, as they should be. We will be coming back here, because of the hotel staff treat each guest as if they are family. If you need entertainment, then you are allowed to frequent the shows at he Son Baulo across the road and there is always a tui rep available at the Son Baulo between 10:00 until 16:00 daily. The Ting Ting train is great fun and costs 4. 50 euros each and can take you to C'an Picafort main town. You can use the bus service, but it runs on the main road which is quite a walk or go for an organised day trip with the reps. The bar connected to the hotel is cheap, friendly and a stones throw away, the cocktails are ok. We stayed in room 201 which is lovely and big, the on

Recomendaría este hotel miles de veces. Limpieza 10, personal 10... todo en general excelente. Tranquilo y muy acogedor en mi opinión. Además, la zona en donde está es perfecta para caminar alrededor, e incluso no está lejos del centro.,,

I came here at the start of August with my partner and our 11-month old son, and we were completely bowled over by how lovely the staff were. It was the first time we had taken our son away for a holiday, and they couldn’t do enough for us, which made our holiday all the more enjoyable. The food was brilliant, with 4 or 5 options per night to suit all tastes. On one night my son wasn’t a fan of the options on offer, so our waitress, Cristina (who had been amazing with him all week) offered to speak to the kitchen to sort him something different out, which they happily did. This is just a small example of how happy the amazing staff here are to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

Second time here so had an idea of what it was like, what we hadn't expected this time was the noise. Bars are supposed to close by midnight but the noise from outside went on often until 3.00 am. Other guests seem unable to close their doors quietly and we had people next door that played music and chatted until 2 am every night. We were also unable to use our balcony on some days due to the smoke from other guests. The hotel is spotless and the staff cannot do enough and are so hard working. The food was hit and miss, we ate there every night, it is basic, unusual combinations and very salty. Something they need to sort out is sharing the tips. Each person keeps the tip you give them; there are 3 drinks waiters 3 chefs 3 cleaners 3 reception staff Main waitress which resulted in us tipping only one from each. Sadly due to the noise, we wont be returning.
