AAnonymous UserHad a great time at this boutique hotel. It’s relatively new and adopt a very interesting design concept. They only have 10 rooms I think. The landscaping around the hotel was really nice. The location of this place is in Tanah Rata, so it’s not as crowded as Brinchang, also it’s not as congested in terms of traffic. You only get one car park per room. It’s situated right at the end of the street, quite secluded and very private.
There’s no one waiting during check in, basically, you text a number and someone comes out to give you keys to your room and ask for breakfast selection for the following morning. All communication was done through the WhatsApp. We also asked for extra towels and shampoo, owners were very courteous and generous.
Felt very safe for my family with young children could just roam around freely. In terms of amenities, there’s no swimming pool or gym facilities. But there’s a place to do bbq and gather in the common area. They give you the auto gate lock if you were to drive out and come back late at night, you can allow yourself in and lock the gate yourself.
In the morning you can hear very loud bird chirping. The air was very fresh! But we were awoken by the loud noise of grass trimming from next door, some government office. There’s also a dormitory next door and you can hear evening prayers.
Nearby, there’s a lot of shops and restaurants whereby you will find no problems settling your meals, about 5 mins walk down to the Main Street.
Just a few things to note :
- There’s a lot of stairs and if you have elderly in your entourage, it is not very convenient getting to the room. You may ask for ground floor rooms of course. The stairs worked super well for my children though, they just enjoyed going up and down so much!
- We booked loft rooms. The toilet and bath tub is located next to the main door. It’s open concept, meaning if you were to take a shower at night or go to toilet, it’s going to be cold.
- The beds are on the top floor, so if you need the bathroom in the middle of the night, you have to walk down the stairs.
- The bathtub and shower design is not so convenient for young children or elderly.
- Breakfast comes in very cute tiffin boxes. They place it outside your door around 8 plus. However, I always couldn’t catch their delivery on time, and most times the food is rather cold already.
Overall, I still enjoyed my stay very much. I think would very suitable for young couples, and groups of young travelers.

I rode in from the rain ＞ asked for early check-in ＞ Receptionist called me a 115pm to let me know room was ready.
Managed to keep my stuff with bellboy whilst I went out to find breakfast and wait for room check-in
Bellboy helped bring my stuff to the room.
200RM deposit was returned to me in denominations of 50, when I had used 2 x 100RM notes ＞ I requested for this back and receptionist had to get manager approval before returning 2 x 100RM to me.
Can borrow umbrella from lobby if it's raining.
Facilties:
Bathtub is kids size, not adult size.
no massage services.
Carpark ＞ no motorbike parking lots.
Parking:
I ended up parking my Ducati Diavel Carbon, FBL 747S, in basement carpark cos security guard did not let me park outside lobby. (Even though Ducati Club Singapore managed to park there in May 2024 as well as open carpark lots below)
However later in the day, Ducati Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak, FBG 38G, was allowed to park there.
Security guard said rider is from Kings Motorcycle Club ＞ I told security guard that Kings MC only rides harleys.
Security guard then says rider is VIP, and his boss approved the parking.
I questioned the receptionist ＞ they referred me to security ＞ I told receptionist what security said and receptionist could not do anything.
The rider left the next morning; I was having breakfast at the outdoor seating, could hear him start the bike, let the bike warm up, before riding off. (so ”noise” is not a valid reason for not parking there)
I came back to my motorbike to find it covered in dust and fluff, cos it was 7m away from the laundromat (I parked here cos there was another motorbike here and there are no motorbike lots in the basement carpark)
The whole reason for parking somewhere visible and in line of sight of Security, is for the security of the motorycycle. (There is a notice in the basement carpark that states parking at carpark is responsibility of owner, not the premises)
Breakfast: good spread and variety.

Staycation: Rovers Inn Guest House Tanah Rata Cameron.
Room type: Quadraple room for 2 adult 2 kids. No breakfast ya... can go out for eat or can ”tapaw” nearby and santai² makan outside lobby area. Can go down and make ur tea @ coffee for free of charges. Got quite hour 11pm-7am. However you can go anywhere you want. Given entrance door key in case you come back late night.

GGuest UserThe address is as follow: No 46A Jalan Golden Hills 2 Barrington Home, Golden Hills 39000 Tanah Rata, Cameron Hills, pahang Great villa that fit 20 person easily, 3 big rooms and a kitchen with cutlery and plates. Right outside the villa is walking distance to a street night market. Every night was crowded as fresh vegetables are good for value. Encounter everyday jam in Cameron Highlands to all places of interest, easily 2 hours stay in car, time was wasted also on finding carpark lot. Road was mostly one way and curvey, prepare for passengers uneasy on stomach for frequent stops. Hope to come back again and see that the infrastructure have improved.

NNurnazidaThe hotel offers free parking which is a great convenience. However, there is no designated lobby area for unloading luggage. Instead, guests need to go to Level 3 where the reception is located and request a bellboy to assist with their luggage. The bellboy will then accompany you to the basement parking lot.
The staff at the hotel are exceptionally courteous and it's clear that the management has invested in good training. However, the amenities are not as well-maintained as one might hope. The corridor floors were not clean and upon entering the room there was a noticeable smell of old furniture. Additionally, the towels, bedsheets and pillowcases were no longer white indicating that it might be time for a revamp and replacement of these items.
It’s a pity because the room itself is incredibly spacious and the view is truly magnificent. With some updates and better maintenance, this hotel could offer an even more enjoyable stay.

GGuest UserOverall our stay was nice. The rooms were cozy, especially because ours were the Garden Rooms at the Ground floor. The ambiance around the Resort was nice, lots of pine trees, flowers and greens. Only thing we were disappointed with was the breakfast. I think they should consider having a wider selection of food and a nicer variety. Also when the food finishes, they did not replenish the food on time which was disappointing. I would suggest take the rooms without breakfast and sleep in, go out and have breakfast as there are many restaurants with a better selection and taste.

TTraMyT8It is a nice place to stay, to relax. It has a nice view, nice architecture, lovely decoration. But the weather of this place is quite cool or cold, so it will be greater to avoid of being wet much from the floor by having a barrier and the curtain to seperate the area for having bath from the one for face wash basin and toilet basin. GGuest UserWonderful hospitality. Met Mr. Bala. Kind compassionate elderly man. Treated us with special masala tea for my wife and I, and hot milo for my children - at no additional charge. Beautiful view and environment. Excellent food. We enjoyed breakfast, and the candle light dinner. We had to split a spaghetti meal for my two small kids. But the the ”split” meal came as if they were 2 individual meals - the portion was considerably large. Compassionate people. They are not particularly calculative about this. In fact they are very generous and accommodating. The place may seem eerie, the 2-storey chalet a little run down with little sound proofing - you can hear next door conversations. Besides that, this place is so quite, you will notice the buzz in your ears are so loud, it is surreal. Unlike smokehouse hotel and restaurant in tanah rata, Bala's is a wonderful and lasting memory.
