We were in room 604 (2nd Floor) and the sun set on our room/door and therefore made key fob heat up and rendered it useless. When we initially went to the front desk they tried to say it was our fault for placing the keys next to our cell phones and quickly dismissed us after "reprograming our keys". However, the key still did not work so there we were again, explaining we could not gain access to our room. So they eventually called maintenance who met us at the door with a wet washcloth and ice. He explained that the sun, setting on the door caused overheating and disabled the key fob and therefore, every time we needed to go in and out of the room would require us to go to the front desk and ask for assistance, unless it was in the evening or in the early morning. It was so annoying and besides that, the hotel was unapologetic about it, offering $200 off a $3k tab. And to make maters worse the hotel did not clean our rooms, ever. We had to go to the front desk every other minute and ask for clean towels, coffee, toilette paper, Kleenex, more towels, washcloths, hand soap, etc. etc. It would be different if they had told us they didn't refresh rooms upon check-in, but........ guess what?! They absolutely did not let us know at check-in that they would not be cleaning and restocking our room daily. So there we were, with dirty towels no coffee, arguing amongst ourselves as to whom would again call the front desk. However, this is not about the staff. The staff in the kitchen and the restaurant were great and the bartenders were amazing. But the facilities were not.
