Three of us checked in late. The front desk guy clearly did not want to help us. He was rude, irritated and angry that we were there - just for us asking to be checked in. There was a problem with our corporate card and he became angry and dismissive. He definitely did not want to deal with us and he really seemed like he was going to push us out the door and not help us figure out the problem. When we pushed back against his rudeness, it became worse and he read us out for about 5 minutes. I've never been treated so poorly. We're all pretty friendly people and have worked in the service industry previously. We know what it's like dealing with problems - but this was far, far beyond acceptable. In between all of this, he took a call from a customer and was equally as rude to them, as well as another guest waiting to check in. As a result of this behavior - his aggression and anger, we did not feel safe in this hotel, especially since he would have access to our rooms, as well as our personal information. (We ended up having to pay with our personal credit cards and sorted the issue out in the morning with a much friendlier front desk woman.) Unfortunately we had to stay here as we had booked a multi-day event. I see other comments related to him and his behavior and I am shocked that he is still employed there. With that said, the rest of the staff were top of the line - other front desk people, housekeeping and maintenance. They were really wonderful. The conference room was nice, the sleeping rooms were good. Unfortunately because of the experience with an aggressive, threatening, angry person on our arrival, and the unsafe atmosphere he created, I cannot rate this hotel any higher than one star. We will not be staying here again, and our company will never book an event here again. Please do yourself a favor and find another hotel.
