This hotel is in a really good location. Several nice beeches within 10 to 30 mins walk away and right in town by the harbour. Handy for boat trips and tons of restaurants/ shops. Especially is you like Italian food!! Breakfast is reasonable, German style with the hot selection consisting of scrambled egg, chips, bacon and two or three different types of German sausage. Pastries, breads, cold meats, yogurt, tinned fruits and cheese. Couple of cereals also available. The coffee is grim , however I think it's the milk used in the machine. Just get a black coffee and add the milk for the cereal to make it drinkable ! The hotel is a bit scruffy, the apparent 'renovations' only seemed to apply to a few rooms at the front. The rest have just had new doors. We had a broken toilet seat, damp patches, a balcony door that didnt lock and strangest of all.... NO DOOR ON THE BATHROOM (so make sure you're comfortable with who you are staying with !!!!). The staff were a bit aloof in general. Not to the point of being rude but not very helpful. We stayed for 4 nights and the room only got cleaned on the last night! Hardly any toilet roll and despite asking for more none came. Ended up taking it from the toilet at reception. The pool is across the road and the main selling point for us and what is splashed all over the pictures online. Says its open 0900-1800, however it's not! Didn't open until at least 1030, might have been later but we gave up each day and went to the beach or elsewhere. The one time we did get back and it was open at about 3pm the grumpy guy at the bar said we couldn't buy drinks there and had to walk back to the hotel bar if we wanted drinks. The after being there about an hour we got kicked out as he said it was closing (at 4pm!!!). It was a cheap deal so you get what you pay for. We made the most of the town and beach instead so didnt exactly ruin the holiday. It earnt it's one star, JUST!! Maybe look elsewhere though.
