I love Hilton and tend to stay at them due to status but this one my goodness. The hotel looks so nice on the inside you arrive go in the Lobby and its like wow but the outside look especially by the pool area looks terrible. The only good service we had at this Hilton was Martina Naeim whom emailed us before coming to this Hilton she helped by accommodationing us with early check in. The check in desk isn't really traditional its just common deskz which throws you off. Ola was our front desk person and she waa great and helpful she explained the policy and procedures as we checked in early from the airport, dropped our luggage in our room and went for an excursion for the day. We got back around 3pm and went to the pool area. As soon as we got to the pool area some man with a life guard shirt started asking us about a $1 stated we owed money and to pay our bill. We just back got to the hotel after our day excursion and we were only here for one day so we were supper confused and this interaction and the man never came back so it left a sour taste. Next after this experience we wanted beer from the pool bar which for some reason the bar was out of most of there beers. We did get one and hung out by the pool area but 20 mins after getting our beer the bartender comes with a check stating he is closing in 20 mins so we asked for another one which he got one and we signed the checked. We thought that the area must close soon. It started getting loud in the pool area due too 2 weddings in the area. Well 30 mins after the bartender brought out the 2nd beer this same bartender walked back and forth asking if we wanted another beer. We assumed he be closed by now since he told us he be closed 30 mins prior so we were definitely not gonna order another one as we were upset that he lied and then the pacing back and forth was not very pleasing. Plus the noise from both parties began to make it unbearable to be outside. Definitely don't get a room facing the pool this was terrible. Two weddings were going on outside and the pool area was not relaxing so went to our room. This was even worse the noise from both parties made the room vibrate and was so loud, it was very hard to get sleep. The good about this place was the lobby which is gorgeous, the beds were super comfortable and I loved having the complimentary airport shuttle to the airport every hour. But this is not Hilton I suggest. No shuttle service from airport, no complimentary breakfest bags(we had early flights so didn't get to enjoy breakfast), and no happy hour deals. Not a place I would come back to. Hope they come back with Hilton standards.

I like this hotel because of the location. It has a small pool but unfortunately pigeons love the pool as much as a customers and I don't like pigeons. They need to do something to limit the number of pigeons that like to drink the pool water. There is a machine that you can buy that pigeons hate the sound of and the people can't hear. The rooms are a bit small but they gave me a room where I could see the Nile the Ritz-Carlton and the Egyptian museum so ask for room at the end of the building. Staff is top-notch and goes out of their way to help you. Don't book tourist from the concierge it's a rip off. I've stayed at this hotel three times because of the location and the professionalism of the staff.

We arrived to Cairo to stay at the marriot hotel, a former beautiful palace. Unfortunately and even though we were given a really nice garden view room, we had some problems (noises) with the bathroom pipes during the night. Nevertheless the following day we explained the problem and we were not only changed without any question but offered an even better room! Thanks Qamar for all your help! This is what a 5 star hotel should be!

What an amazing and luxurious hotel it is. We enjoyed our one week stay and had one of the best experiences ever in Cairo. It all started with meeting Nabil the doorman with his beautiful smile and then with Yousef at the reception desk who helped us with our check in. Mostafa and Arafa from the house keeping, made our stay amazing with paying attention to details with their beautiful smile and attitude. Also Ibrahim as well made it a pleasant experience. To top it up Hashem the house keeping supervisor also made sure our needs are met and everything is to our liking. Abdullah El Sayed, ohhh ohhh what an amazing guy he is. Every morning made sure we are taken care off from our coffee, juices to making sure I have my specialty Egyptian breakfast made up to my likings. Fresh Iskandarani fool, taameya and to top it up feeteer meshaltet with 3assal. WOWWWW. Abdullah made sure to remember my type of coffee without asking (decaf coffee). Also Amr did an amazing job taking care of us when Abdullah is serving other tables. Sayed Farouk the lounge supervisor also made sure to receive our feedback with a great attitude and smile and we really enjoyed our conversation with him. Ayman, with his amazing smile and shisha, always made sure we are hooked the whole evening and with our couple visits to the restaurant. The pool team were unbelievable from Mohamad to Ayman with all the time amazing smile to Sameh at the aqua restaurant. These guys made our stay at the pool so great with paying attention to everything we need. The spa team were also amazing from Lobna to captain Hassan. The service was more than we asked for. Sameh Mahrous, what an amazing person he is with his beautiful smile and great talk we had. He is always there every afternoon at the lobby taking care of the customers and their needs. To top it up, we also received a follow up phone call from the hotel after 2 days to make sure we were satisfied with our stay. The Nile Ritz-Carlton Cairo is an amazing hotel with top notch service. Keep it up team and I hope to see you all again very soon.

Semiramis Intercontinntal is the best IHG properties. Every time I stay at this hotel my loyalty to IHG increase. It has a great local ion facing the Nile river and located at the center of Cairo. All hotel staff are professional and very friendly which makes you feel that you are at your home with your family. Room size is large and very clean. On top of that, the hotel is taking all hygiene measures into account. When it comes to the food, the hotel have many choices and all are having a great taste. Semiramis Intercontinental is positively way far than many of IHG other properties. At the end I would like to send special thank to Mr. Mohamed Senousi, Mr, Mahmoud Yahya, Mr. Gergis Mikhael, Mr. Michel Yacoub, Mr. Hassan Mohammed ( Night & Day Restaurant) and Mr. Ehab Fawzy.

Overall it's good, close to the subway station, the breakfast is okay, the restaurant is right by the Nile River, the scenery is nice, but it feels like there's not much to see outside. Our chartered car driver said that end of the island would be very lively, so I'll try staying there next time!

GGuest UserIf we consider Egyptian standards, this hotel in Cairo is probably one of the best. If we refer to the European standards of 5-star Kempinski hotels, there would be a lot to correct. From the fact that the staff should respects privacy (they just walk into the room, while I were naked going to shower and then leave, without apologizing and laughing loudly), to the fact that there is a glass screen in the shower (same in 3 different rooms) leaking water, floods the bathroom or, say, the security service harassing you at 2 in the morning because of a ”suspicious” item in the suitcase, although the same thing was in the suitcase of the previous two arrivals and no one paid attention (it was a steam iron). In general, the staff is forced to be polite and they are very slow. Just a very kind restaurant receptionist and one nice waiter in Osman restaurant. I believe that this is the maximum that Kempinski manages to achieve in terms of its own standards considering the mentality of Egypt.
EEmilieGraceThis hotel is beautiful and breathtaking! It has an amazing pool and restaurants. However it is far from city center, it’s about 30-40 minutes away by taxi. It is a great spot for a nice get away from the hustle and bustle of the city for a couple days. The staff was super helpful and were willing to go the extra mile to make sure my stay was enjoyable!
GGailThe hotel and staff were phenomenal. The reason I took one smile away for facility, was I wanted to get a pedicure and they gave a referral in the mall that was terrible. They should not refer anyone there; it was uncomfortably juvenile in the environment. I ended up leaving after waiting 30 minutes listening to workers talk, argue, show pictures on each other's phones. Other than that, it was an incredible experience.
Khaled Abdelkhalek with the concierge was outstanding. He was taking care of every need. I booked 2 tours thru 4 Seasons with Marwa, she is on an entirely different universe, so intelligent, kind, intuitive, and I could keep going with praise. If you ever need a tour, she is the one for you!! I also had Mohammed as the driver, between Marwa and Mohommed, they are the dynamic duo. I feel so fortunate and honored to have met and been able to spend time with them.
I had several hours to wait for my flight, so I sat in the lobby and had something to eat and drink, they were so accommodating. I do not recall if her name was Daliah or Liza but she was great. Took care of me and was very kind.
I travel a lot alone, and it can be tricky sometimes, but the people at the 4 Seasons made it seamless and like home!
AAnonymous UserIn general, it is not bad for me to stay in a single room with a common bathroom for 10 nights.
Above all, I would like to express my gratitude to the staff's efforts to manage the City Hostel clean which is too old and out fashioned building.
* Location & Transportation
Without noise, it is the best location to stay. It is located at 2 2-minute walk distance from Attaba subway station that connects to the Ramsis Railway Station and the Egypt Museum, only 1~3 stops away, charging 6 EGP per way. Of course, you can go to both by walk in 20 minutes. It means you can also enjoy the Nile riverside which is close to the museum.
And it is a 2-minute walk distance from the Attaba market which is the biggest public market in Cairo and so many locals visit to buy their livelihoods stuff at a cheap price.
In addition, you can also walk to the Al Azhar Mosque and Khan El-Khalili traditional market in 30 minutes, and St. Marc Coptic Orthodox Cathedral in AL Azbakeya in 10 minutes
Two problems I experienced are firstly the noi⁹sy from 8 am to 3 am outside the building due to market area and cars' horns. It took 3 days for me to adapt it. Any room in the hostel cannot escape it without changing the windows to soundproof ones. If you are sensitive to sound, it is better to find other lodges in a residential area or modernized ones.
Secondly, its location on the Uber taxi map and other maps is not accurate, so drivers have some problems in finding the city hostel. I have to meet them in front of the KFC next to the Attaba subway station. The signboard of the hotel is too small to recognize it.
* Building and room conditions
Like many other buildings in Cairo, the hostel building is old and shabby. The interior design and facilities are also outdated. However, the staff manages it so clean, particularly a common toilet and shower room.
It is quite convenient a washstand in each room.
However, it is bad there is no electronic kettle to boil water in a room or a common space. I could not enjoy my tea or coffee time at any time. I have to ask for hot drink water every morning when receiving breakfast, and store it in my tumbler.
It will be better to provide a tea or coffee service area in the hostel.
* Cleanness & Safety
Cleanness and safety are very good. I have no issue with this.
* Services
There is no basic service that most guesthouses provide in general: toilet paper and drink water.
Wifi is too weak to use the internet.
Other services like laundry are satisfied.
* Others
During my stay, I couldn't enjoy having an exchange time with other travelers. I think it is because there is no reason to stay in a common space where only sofas and a table are. Largely guesthouse provides a commonplace where guests enjoy better the internet or drinks including tea or coffee and foods, which makes guests meet each other naturally and structurally.
In conclusion, if the hostel provides basic services like toilet paper and commonplace with drink water and electronic kettles, it will be much better.
And it is necessary to change its signboard so that is more recognizable.
Except issues I mentioned above, it is a very good budget lodge.
GGuest UserThe Holy Sheet Hostel has a great location and we felt we were very central in Cairo. The area is somewhat walkable but never feels safe and gives a whole new meaning to walk like an Egyptian. In the morning the streets are quiet but after 2 pm everything seems to get crazy! The staff are very friendly here. The breakfast was nothing special but it was a nice fresh meal with tea or coffee to start our day. Mario, Alex and the kitchen staff were helpful enough and always friendly to us. This is one of the cheaper places to stay in the area so we can't complain too much about it but we wish it was cleaner. We booked the twin room which had a bathroom inside of it. The beds had hair in them already and the room smelled a little bit from the drains. The AC did work well though and the room was very quiet all night which was nice. The toilet and shower are in the same box without a roof or fan so go #2 at your own risk. We chose to use the shared toilets in the hall which had fans. We were a little disappointed with the booking and check in process. We chose Trip for booking and it started three currencies in our booking but also showed we only had to pay 3100 Egyptian Pounds when we arrived for our three night stay based on the currency exchange when we booked. However, when we arrived they told us we booked through Expedia and had to pay 3600 Egyptian Pounds instead. We went back and forth for a bit but because it was late they were kind enough to check us in without paying because they could not reach their manager. The next day however I went to inquire and they said the manager said no and they tacked on another 300 Egyptian pounds to our check in because we were using a credit card. They did say that if we had used Booking or Hostel World we wouldn't have these issues. This has never been an issue in my 4 years using this booking platform so I'm disappointed in this hostel and their management team for this. The hostel is a little tricky to find but it is tucked down a street which is blocked off to cars and is on the 2nd floor of an older building. There is an elevator to get you up there but it is old style meaning that all the doors and gates have to be closed in order for it to operate. There are a ton of cats nearby and some good restaurants and convenience stores too.
GGuest UserThis is a great hotel for proximity to Cairo International Airport and good value for a 4 star. They supply a free shuttle service every 30 minutes to and from the airport that is only a 5-10 minute ride. The condition of the mini-bus was somewhat tired but it does the job. I used this hotel on my outbound journey whilst transferring flights and again on this inbound one. It is very good for its category level and has a very decent pool in a spacious courtyard area. For both my visits, all the staff were really amazing and accommodated my requests, in particular Noor on reception, who was a credit to the Accor brand.
GGuest UserSwiss Inn Nile Hotel offers a comfortable stay. The rooms are clean and spacious with beautiful views of the Nile. The staff are helpful and friendly and the service is excellent. The restaurant serves delicious food and the breakfast buffet is extensive. It is also geographically convenient and has good access to tourist attractions. The only improvement is that the Wi-Fi signal is sometimes weak. Overall, Swiss Inn Nile Hotel is a great and relaxing place to stay.
GGuest UserI travelled in Egypt through April into early May, a good time to undertake the journey before the onslaught of intense summer heat. I am sole, independent traveller in my seventies and had pre-conceived ideas regarding the places I wanted to see and had researched modes of transportation. I arrived at Cairo Paradise Hotel, for which I have utmost praise. From reception to house-keeping, the staff are unfailingly courteous and helpful. My month in Cairo coincided with Ramadan and I was invited to partake of the evening meal at the break of fast. Ready to embark on my explorations, I soon realised that due to distances and piecing together public transport, considerable time and effort would need to be expended. I outlined my places to see wish list to Amr, the Hotel Touring Manager, who, with diligence application tailor-made an itinerary, including events and places off the ”tourist track” with drivers and at times, a guide. All came seamlessly to fruition with meetings at airports or train stations never failing to eventuate, at surprisingly low cost. I feel that I have captured the ”Essence of Egypt.”
GGuest Userif you got room number start from 5, which means your room is at the garden view room, that was very terrible, the facilities are super old and not clean there. You`d must better to ask the staff to change your room, the rooms in the main building are renovated, with nicer facilities and cleaner
shuttle bus is very convinient
