I consider this hotel is my home in cairo. The no.1 for all the 3 i stayed in cairo. The hotel is very near Tahrir Square, food shops, fast food, coffee shops nearby. Even I travelled other cities of Egypt i keep coming back here. Because of the staff are polite, friendly, trustworthy and I feel safe in the hotel. Main points I look for a hotel is cleanliness, good comfortable beds and hot strong shower (you dont have to take time just to take shower, the water is strong). Their laundry is a little higher to the previous hostel i stayed, but tiptop cleanliness and smell really nice, you pay right price. Other hostel they wash your clothes inside the building so its not really dried and smell like ”wet stored clothes”. They have kettle, small fridge, cable tv with english movies (MBC 2 i think), the internet is good enough. They provide towels, soap and tissue paper. They will respect your privacy and make sure you have a pleasant stay. The presentable room and toilet is nice and clean. Same as picture on the their hotel photos 🙌 Ask questions they will help you as much as they can. They help me also with ordering food coz some drivers dont speak english. Maybe the ground floor to elavator doesn't look appealling but you are safe in the hotel and the level floor very clean. This is downtown Cairo, so noise from the road will be normal, but the hotel a quiet place to stay. Thank you Mr. Rouf, and to all the staff of Grand City Hotel 🙏.

One of the best stays. The service is amazing. The gym has the most amazing view of the Nile river. The staff is very attentive and make sure you have a luxurious stay. Our room had the Nile view and was on the 14th floor. The hotel gets busy in the evenings. The hotel has the best food and also it has a lot of food joints opposite the road which requires 20 EP.

Facilities:
The facilities are really too old. The toilets at this price are leaking... and it is inconvenient to take a shower standing in the bathtub! The toiletries provided are too limited...
Hygiene:
Why didn't I encounter any obvious problems?
Environment: The environment is not bad. There are staff and working dogs at the door to check the trunk and the entire vehicle, which makes you feel safe. The terrace with a view of the Nile downstairs is beautiful.
Service:
The service is a bit indifferent. The staff in the lobby don't take the initiative to greet, and the room service is slow to deliver things. If you need it urgently, you might as well go out and buy it yourself...
There are welcome fruits, which is okay.

Swiss Inn Nile Hotel offers a comfortable stay. The rooms are clean and spacious with beautiful views of the Nile. The staff are helpful and friendly and the service is excellent. The restaurant serves delicious food and the breakfast buffet is extensive. It is also geographically convenient and has good access to tourist attractions. The only improvement is that the Wi-Fi signal is sometimes weak. Overall, Swiss Inn Nile Hotel is a great and relaxing place to stay.

WOW WOW WOW, is all I can say about this hotel, I loved my whole experience, check in is 24 hours and we arrived at 4:30am and was greeted by happy staff who were very welcoming.
The pool is warm and open 24/7 it’s on the roof where there is a manned restaurant which is also 24/7 and the staff couldn’t have made us feel more welcome.
We watched the pyramids at sunrise from the rooftop bar, the photos of the view don’t do it justice.
Towels are provided at the pool.
Also Hassan provides a great Massage by the pool.
It was my sons 30th birthday and all the staff knew and stopped him to wish him a great day.
They even made a massive cake and all the staff came and sang happy birthday.
Everyone made sure our every wim was catered for.
The rooms where massive and exceptionally clean.
Its also close to a selection of shops and supermarkets.
I honestly don’t have a bad thing to say about this hotel.
I can’t wait to go back in January.

It is a recently built hotel, and payment is made at the time of stay. The view is the best, and the hotel itself is very clean. It's all completely new. It is located right next to the ticket office to enter the Giza Pyramids. Many Koreans don't seem to know, but you can take pictures of the three pyramids and the Sphinx at the same time. Breakfast is not a buffet, but is simply eaten on the terrace. The room is clean, but the view from the room is closed. However, for this price, this level of cleanliness and view is quite reasonable.

Vry good. Staff friendly especially the guest relationships lady from Europe.
Staff is very friendly also. They provide free breakfast buffet and coffee everyday. The view from roof top is the best.
Room balcony is dusty need to improve on that.
Beside this. 5/5
Don't expect hotel services as this is only a Guesthouse.

EEmilieGraceThis hotel is beautiful and breathtaking! It has an amazing pool and restaurants. However it is far from city center, it’s about 30-40 minutes away by taxi. It is a great spot for a nice get away from the hustle and bustle of the city for a couple days. The staff was super helpful and were willing to go the extra mile to make sure my stay was enjoyable!
GGuowei3222In the relatively disorderly Egypt, it is still very important to choose the Sofitel international chain brand. The room is slightly small but the mattress is comfortable, and the balcony overlooks the Nile. The Kabbage Middle Eastern restaurant on the first floor has a good view and delicious food.
GGailThe hotel and staff were phenomenal. The reason I took one smile away for facility, was I wanted to get a pedicure and they gave a referral in the mall that was terrible. They should not refer anyone there; it was uncomfortably juvenile in the environment. I ended up leaving after waiting 30 minutes listening to workers talk, argue, show pictures on each other's phones. Other than that, it was an incredible experience.
Khaled Abdelkhalek with the concierge was outstanding. He was taking care of every need. I booked 2 tours thru 4 Seasons with Marwa, she is on an entirely different universe, so intelligent, kind, intuitive, and I could keep going with praise. If you ever need a tour, she is the one for you!! I also had Mohammed as the driver, between Marwa and Mohommed, they are the dynamic duo. I feel so fortunate and honored to have met and been able to spend time with them.
I had several hours to wait for my flight, so I sat in the lobby and had something to eat and drink, they were so accommodating. I do not recall if her name was Daliah or Liza but she was great. Took care of me and was very kind.
I travel a lot alone, and it can be tricky sometimes, but the people at the 4 Seasons made it seamless and like home!
GGuest UserI love Hilton and tend to stay at them due to status but this one my goodness. The hotel looks so nice on the inside you arrive go in the Lobby and its like wow but the outside look especially by the pool area looks terrible. The only good service we had at this Hilton was Martina Naeim whom emailed us before coming to this Hilton she helped by accommodationing us with early check in. The check in desk isn't really traditional its just common deskz which throws you off. Ola was our front desk person and she waa great and helpful she explained the policy and procedures as we checked in early from the airport, dropped our luggage in our room and went for an excursion for the day. We got back around 3pm and went to the pool area. As soon as we got to the pool area some man with a life guard shirt started asking us about a $1 stated we owed money and to pay our bill. We just back got to the hotel after our day excursion and we were only here for one day so we were supper confused and this interaction and the man never came back so it left a sour taste. Next after this experience we wanted beer from the pool bar which for some reason the bar was out of most of there beers. We did get one and hung out by the pool area but 20 mins after getting our beer the bartender comes with a check stating he is closing in 20 mins so we asked for another one which he got one and we signed the checked. We thought that the area must close soon. It started getting loud in the pool area due too 2 weddings in the area. Well 30 mins after the bartender brought out the 2nd beer this same bartender walked back and forth asking if we wanted another beer. We assumed he be closed by now since he told us he be closed 30 mins prior so we were definitely not gonna order another one as we were upset that he lied and then the pacing back and forth was not very pleasing. Plus the noise from both parties began to make it unbearable to be outside. Definitely don't get a room facing the pool this was terrible. Two weddings were going on outside and the pool area was not relaxing so went to our room. This was even worse the noise from both parties made the room vibrate and was so loud, it was very hard to get sleep. The good about this place was the lobby which is gorgeous, the beds were super comfortable and I loved having the complimentary airport shuttle to the airport every hour. But this is not Hilton I suggest. No shuttle service from airport, no complimentary breakfest bags(we had early flights so didn't get to enjoy breakfast), and no happy hour deals. Not a place I would come back to. Hope they come back with Hilton standards.
GGuest UserLovely smart hotel. Several restaurants. Massage and gym. Staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel nice sbd roomy. Rooms spacious. Would stay there again but if you want to be in the town centre with many shops you need to stay closer to city centre as this, was, about 30 minutes from airport. It didn't matter because everything is a short cheap taxi fare away. Also it's next to a military camp where you can see and hear the soldiers marching from your balcony. If the bugle noise bothers, you at 6am then maybe not for you. Also, but not related to the hotel you'll be woken up at 4am by the, wailing from the mosques but you can't really get away from that can you. The hotel I understand is, owned by the military and so you'll often see soldiers stay there. They weren't any trouble. In fact it made you feel safe.
AAnonymous UserIn general, it is not bad for me to stay in a single room with a common bathroom for 10 nights.
Above all, I would like to express my gratitude to the staff's efforts to manage the City Hostel clean which is too old and out fashioned building.
* Location & Transportation
Without noise, it is the best location to stay. It is located at 2 2-minute walk distance from Attaba subway station that connects to the Ramsis Railway Station and the Egypt Museum, only 1~3 stops away, charging 6 EGP per way. Of course, you can go to both by walk in 20 minutes. It means you can also enjoy the Nile riverside which is close to the museum.
And it is a 2-minute walk distance from the Attaba market which is the biggest public market in Cairo and so many locals visit to buy their livelihoods stuff at a cheap price.
In addition, you can also walk to the Al Azhar Mosque and Khan El-Khalili traditional market in 30 minutes, and St. Marc Coptic Orthodox Cathedral in AL Azbakeya in 10 minutes
Two problems I experienced are firstly the noi⁹sy from 8 am to 3 am outside the building due to market area and cars' horns. It took 3 days for me to adapt it. Any room in the hostel cannot escape it without changing the windows to soundproof ones. If you are sensitive to sound, it is better to find other lodges in a residential area or modernized ones.
Secondly, its location on the Uber taxi map and other maps is not accurate, so drivers have some problems in finding the city hostel. I have to meet them in front of the KFC next to the Attaba subway station. The signboard of the hotel is too small to recognize it.
* Building and room conditions
Like many other buildings in Cairo, the hostel building is old and shabby. The interior design and facilities are also outdated. However, the staff manages it so clean, particularly a common toilet and shower room.
It is quite convenient a washstand in each room.
However, it is bad there is no electronic kettle to boil water in a room or a common space. I could not enjoy my tea or coffee time at any time. I have to ask for hot drink water every morning when receiving breakfast, and store it in my tumbler.
It will be better to provide a tea or coffee service area in the hostel.
* Cleanness & Safety
Cleanness and safety are very good. I have no issue with this.
* Services
There is no basic service that most guesthouses provide in general: toilet paper and drink water.
Wifi is too weak to use the internet.
Other services like laundry are satisfied.
* Others
During my stay, I couldn't enjoy having an exchange time with other travelers. I think it is because there is no reason to stay in a common space where only sofas and a table are. Largely guesthouse provides a commonplace where guests enjoy better the internet or drinks including tea or coffee and foods, which makes guests meet each other naturally and structurally.
In conclusion, if the hostel provides basic services like toilet paper and commonplace with drink water and electronic kettles, it will be much better.
And it is necessary to change its signboard so that is more recognizable.
Except issues I mentioned above, it is a very good budget lodge.
GGuest UserThe Holy Sheet Hostel has a great location and we felt we were very central in Cairo. The area is somewhat walkable but never feels safe and gives a whole new meaning to walk like an Egyptian. In the morning the streets are quiet but after 2 pm everything seems to get crazy! The staff are very friendly here. The breakfast was nothing special but it was a nice fresh meal with tea or coffee to start our day. Mario, Alex and the kitchen staff were helpful enough and always friendly to us. This is one of the cheaper places to stay in the area so we can't complain too much about it but we wish it was cleaner. We booked the twin room which had a bathroom inside of it. The beds had hair in them already and the room smelled a little bit from the drains. The AC did work well though and the room was very quiet all night which was nice. The toilet and shower are in the same box without a roof or fan so go #2 at your own risk. We chose to use the shared toilets in the hall which had fans. We were a little disappointed with the booking and check in process. We chose Trip for booking and it started three currencies in our booking but also showed we only had to pay 3100 Egyptian Pounds when we arrived for our three night stay based on the currency exchange when we booked. However, when we arrived they told us we booked through Expedia and had to pay 3600 Egyptian Pounds instead. We went back and forth for a bit but because it was late they were kind enough to check us in without paying because they could not reach their manager. The next day however I went to inquire and they said the manager said no and they tacked on another 300 Egyptian pounds to our check in because we were using a credit card. They did say that if we had used Booking or Hostel World we wouldn't have these issues. This has never been an issue in my 4 years using this booking platform so I'm disappointed in this hostel and their management team for this. The hostel is a little tricky to find but it is tucked down a street which is blocked off to cars and is on the 2nd floor of an older building. There is an elevator to get you up there but it is old style meaning that all the doors and gates have to be closed in order for it to operate. There are a ton of cats nearby and some good restaurants and convenience stores too.
FFemi TA great time spent. Although it was short. Loved the space provided for us and the kids were happy / comfortable. Would recommend to others to stay for sure. Cant wait to come back again.
GGuest UserI travelled in Egypt through April into early May, a good time to undertake the journey before the onslaught of intense summer heat. I am sole, independent traveller in my seventies and had pre-conceived ideas regarding the places I wanted to see and had researched modes of transportation. I arrived at Cairo Paradise Hotel, for which I have utmost praise. From reception to house-keeping, the staff are unfailingly courteous and helpful. My month in Cairo coincided with Ramadan and I was invited to partake of the evening meal at the break of fast. Ready to embark on my explorations, I soon realised that due to distances and piecing together public transport, considerable time and effort would need to be expended. I outlined my places to see wish list to Amr, the Hotel Touring Manager, who, with diligence application tailor-made an itinerary, including events and places off the ”tourist track” with drivers and at times, a guide. All came seamlessly to fruition with meetings at airports or train stations never failing to eventuate, at surprisingly low cost. I feel that I have captured the ”Essence of Egypt.”
GGuest Userif you got room number start from 5, which means your room is at the garden view room, that was very terrible, the facilities are super old and not clean there. You`d must better to ask the staff to change your room, the rooms in the main building are renovated, with nicer facilities and cleaner
shuttle bus is very convinient
