It is very rare to have a hotel of this price during the Spring Festival, so if this hotel can meet the basic needs of rest, in addition to additional facilities, it is really good value for money! First of all, the location of the hotel is a certain distance from the city center. It is a half-hour walk, but there is nothing to visit in the city, it is nothing more than a supermarket to buy things. Secondly, the hotel's facilities are complete, basic things are available, and you can rest well at night. There is also a kitchenette in the room where you can cook your own meals, which is really a bonus. Finally, because it is a motel, the service is basically absent, but the front desk staff are very enthusiastic, so there will be no uncomfortable feeling.

Because the room was set up late, it was settled the night before the trip. I thought someone would pick up when I got off the plane. It turned out that I needed to book one day in advance, and I felt very upset. However, the subsequent services, facilities, and breakfast were very good and the hygiene was very good. It's just that there are more mosquitoes in Cairns, so you can sit down and prepare in advance, or you can spray the insect medicine in the store. The pool was clean and changing water frequently (I saw the water change after staying for four nights). I had the pleasure of staying at this Art Deco gem and it did not disappoint. The room was well equipped with everything one would need. Only a short distance from Cairns CBD with a great selection of restraints and bars. If you like character, good location, peace and quiet then this is the place to stay. Once I got used to it (it took me a day or so), I liked the place! The manager, Mike, was laid-back, friendly and always very helpful. We arrived on a dark, rainy day and night (normal for the time of year in Cairns) and my first impressions of the accommodation were a bit gloomy: breeze-block walls (thankfully painted white), *****-lighting, a bit of a stale/damp aroma and sofa with black-tape repairs. However, for most of our stay we had sunny (and mostly dry) weather and it felt much better in the apartment and the breeze-block walls protected us from most of the neighbourhood noise. The apartment was clean and well-equipped. The cooker worked well - we didn't mind using matches to light the hobs. Good, clean toilet / shower room. The shower was powerful enough with water staying consistent at the chosen temperature. Very good value.
