The hotel is in a very good location, right near the landmark swimming pool. The rooms are bright and comfortable, and the hygiene is very good. The front desk can store luggage, which is very convenient. There is a Cantonese Chinese restaurant called Yumcha nearby, which was recommended to us by our foreign friend's driver. I am very satisfied with the accommodation and must give it full marks. It is a pity that Cairns is no longer what it used to be. Ten years ago, you could see clear water and many palm-sized jellyfish on the side of the esplanade trail. This time, you can only see mud flats after low tide and yellow muddy water after high tide. The outer reef is also closed. I don't know if it is overdeveloped.

Spent 4 nights at the Cairns Plaza and couldn’t have been happier. Good, clean room. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful and pleasant with it. Excellent location for getting around - 15 mins walk from the reef terminals and 3 mins walk to the bus to the botanical gardens. Very close to cafes/restaurants, the night market and shops. I knew beforehand there was no hotel restaurant but breakfast/meal boxes available to purchase. I would happily go back

I booked my husband here while I was in the private hospital around the corner. It was perfect, he was really happy with the service at reception, the cleanliness of the room and its proximity to everything, the hospital which was an easy walk, the beach, the cbd. We would absolutely stay again. Fantastic thank you!
