The tree room is very original and exotic. A true little corner of paradise. The cries of the monkeys at sunrise are very exotic and exotic. The owners are very nice and helpful. However, comfort is a little minimal: it is impossible to adjust the temperature of the shower, some windows only have a mosquito net so if the temperature is a little cool, you risk feeling a little cold.

The name doesn't match the location because even though the beach is on the other side of the path, you can't access it. Indeed, the properties by the sea are next to each other and do not allow access to the beach, you will have to walk a good quarter of an hour before arriving at Playa Negra and a half hour walk to go to Cahuita where the park is located. The bungalow is basic without air conditioning with a small fan, the kitchen is quite nice, bedding, shower with hot water ok but everything remains very basic. The hosts are very friendly and very dedicated.

Booked a room on December 1st. Received a confirmation and confirmed the booking directly with the lodge. Today we received a message letting us know “your room is no longer available” and that they would be cancelling. Say what? You just give away a room that’s been confirmed for months. Leaving us 5 weeks out from our trip with no room. Don’t stay here if you actually want to get a room. This lodge could care less that customers are left scrambling for last minute reservations.
