The hotel was very comfortable and very comfortable. The only thing I would put in is that the separation between the room and the bathroom is with a shower or bathroom mammut without the separation between the two rooms being complete and that makes it difficult for the own intimacy of the bathroom.

This facility should be the model that all hostels are designed from. Amazingly building/ rooms / common areas with a rooftop bar and sitting area. Centrally located so you can explore rather easily. The only downside to my visit was the terrible noises starting at 07:00hrs every morning. The building next-door is being remodeled/renovated. An issue that is completely outside the control of Planeta Cádiz Hostel. They were apologetic… though appreciated my understanding that there was nothing they could do. Only roughly a 10 minute walk from the train station. Overall, I would ***highly recommend*** this facility to any and all travelers looking to spend time in Cádiz.

Nice but ground floor apartments are dark. I would review it at a much higher score if we had had an apartment not at street level. Unfortunately we found it very dark and couldn't open the curtains as it was in a busy street with many people passing by. Thisaso contributed to the qpartment being noisy. That being said the apartments are nicely decorated and comfortable. Perfect for families. Parking was close by in a public paid car park costing 18 euro for a day. Well situated for the centre historic. No washing machine or dish washer. Limited reception hours but that didn't bother us. 2 big televisions.

A fantastic space in a great location and super-helpful staff. Family room had everything we needed, but could I suppose have been bigger. Did not attempt to negotiate a larger space. Bathroom was very good with a great shower, super-necessary in the middle of summer. Lovely balcony onto side street from third floor. Only once had breakfast there, and was excellent. More importantly, the coffee shop next door was very good indeed, for cake and yes, coffee. Location in middle of high street gave us beaches left and right and a few minutes walk away only. A great many cafes, restaurants and tapas providers in close proximity. Turning left out of the hotel takes you within two minutes to a fantastic ice-cream parlour.

We asked for a suitable or shower-related room, and if I had a shower-related plate, 70 cm ➕ or ➖ we had the taburet I used and I couldn't move, the summer didn't swallow, maintenance wine and what could get out there, When the shower was opened, the water went through the door's assemblies and every day collecting the water, with the only thing we had, their towels, that room is standard but not the standard of their advertising, beautiful, spacious rooms, And with bathrooms in normal conditions, the most hurt was that before booking, we said for active and passive that my wife had a disability, no case. We also had problems with cleaning the room, we went up to eat and was not doing, for the rest the very good deal in the eating room, reception, and everything in general, but the most important was the comfort of being able to shower my wife and that was failed , we need to take more account of the disabled, we present the disability documentation to verify that what we said was true.

Outstanding
Stayed for two nights with my husband as part of my 50th birthday celebrations! Well restored and looked after building. Very clean, comfy and spacious with a great roof terrace. Staff were very helpful. Quiet building and street but very close to the esplanade / pier where we watched “the kids” jumping off into the sea and the amazing sunset. Cadiz is a lovely city with some lovely parks and a beautiful cathedral. It’s also small enough to walk around quite easily. We had lunch in the market, which I recommend, and cooked our own food in the evening for a change. I'd also recommend a visit to the camera obscura. Had a great stay!
Beautiful boutique hotel which has been renovated to a very high standard. Booked 2 junior suites for a few nights away and had a fab time. Let’s start with the positives. Good location, round the corner from a busy local plaza which was a delight night and day! Immaculate and clean, house keeping do a fabulous job. Front reception team so lovely and helpful and the interior is just beautiful and chic. A few things that let it down. Fresh pastries and welcome drinks obviously available but we were not offered one as we came in which would have been nice. I emailed the hotel as it was my mums birthday treat and didn’t get any response to my request for fruit in the room. The spa is extra which for the price of the hotel and the very limited spa facility makes this feel a little cheap. We thought breakfast was included so do a double check as we had a 180 euro bill at the end of our stay - it was a nice breakfast but we probably would have explored more if we knew. That said it was a fabulous stay and I would recommend and Cadiz was a fab place for a few days !
This is our absolute favourite accommodation of our recent trip to Spain. The welcome from Receptiomist Mar was lovely - it is so nice to be greeted and not have to do everything digitally! Our Studio was huge, with a neat little kitchenette that had everything to enable us to make good use of the fresh ingredients we bought at the Mercado. The patio doors opened fully and we were ale to sit and watch the world go by (and see cruise ships dock and depart) from out 3rd level vantage point, overlooking the Plaza España. At Plazuela del Carbon, you are within a 15 minute walk to all the sights, and right there in the historic part of Cafiz. We were able to walk to the bus/train/ferry station in under 10 minutes. The coffee bar in the lobby is a wonderful idea, providing us with hot and cold refreshments 24 hours a day. We give it 11 out of 10 ... we really enjoyed our stay.
TTroversLocated around 10 mins from the main railway station, and 2 mins utes from the beach, the hotel lived up to expectations. All staff were friendly and helpful, 24/7 - whether at the Reception Desk or in the Breakfast area. The rooms were spacious, with a huge double bed. Bathroom were also of high quality, with lots of room in the shower. The rooms were quiet, with minimal noise from either inside or outside. Breakfast choice was vast, and though we went down at different times during our stay, the breakfast area was never crowded. Food was restocked promptly and was of good quality.
An excellent location between the waterfront and the narrow streets of the old town. Our room, 6125, was on the second floor away from the lift. With the windows closed we had no noise, but were left reliant on a not very cool air conditioner fixed at 24 degrees - in my case a little too high for comfort. If I stayed again I might request an electric fan. We hugely enjoyed shared use of the third-floor outdoor terrace with views to the sea. Don't miss the sunset. Another huge bonus is the laundry with washer drier. No coins or any of that nonsense, although instructions are in Spanish. Inevitably I ended up the wash-that-never-ends but the receptionist was kind and helpful, even phoning a friend for advice. Also, you might need to buy your own laundry liquid. The low point was breakfast. Limited fruit and cereal and bread not to our taste. As we were staying for a few days stocked up at a supermarket. Cadiz itself is said to be struggling economically through loss of jobs and opportunities, with younger people leaving in search of these. However the place has a great spirit. The cathedral has a calm, warm and welcoming atmosphere after the rich glories of Granada, Cordoba and Seville.
Very pretty hotel with amazing ocean view! We stayed here two nights only on our visit to southern Spain. I wish we could have stayed longer. The hotel is huge and we stayed on the 2nd floor with a swim up pool off the patio. The access to the pool and restaurant is on the second level so that was convenient. No elevator needed! But our room didn’t have a view. Just the back of the pool bar so we were disappointed. Our room was a nice size but a very strange layout. The shower is in the middle of the room with just glass walls around it. No privacy. So if someone comes In the door and your are in the shower they see Everything. I didn’t like that at all. Poor design. The toilet is in its own room though. Bed was large and comfy. Came with a small bar fridge and coffee maker. The pool area is spectacular. Lots of lounge chairs and a full bar with service to your chairs. There are about 6 beds along the infinity pool that we were able to snag twice. It is So luxurious and an amazing view of the beach and ocean. Very clean! The restaurant beside the pol is open for breakfast and it was a buffet style - plentiful and lots of choices. The lobby is a bit of a walk from the rooms tho as it is a conference centre as well so there is lots of walking to get out to the street from your room. The roof top bar is amazing as well - great views! Loved this hotel!
孙孙The hotel is highly recommended. The location is very good, you can go to all areas of the old town; the rooms are large, with a large terrace and sea views. The overall design of the room is amazing, but many details designers are still inexperienced.
The hotel's own breakfast is very good, standard English buffet; the restaurant can look directly at the Atlantic Ocean.
Small details such as wash basins and towels are ill-considered; toilets are not separated from wet and dry, sliding doors are also fragile, and when there is a sound, it is easy to wake others up at night. The adjacent terrace is not blocked, it is easy to get up in the morning to see the neighbor lying on the bed, still watching you
Ladies will love this type of room.
The pool opens until 4 pm, so I missed it perfectly and left the next day. The restaurant downstairs is good and the price will not be much more expensive than outside
Outstanding! It’s not impossible… though sometimes you wonder why we don’t come across places like this… all the time! Can it be so difficult for a single place to provide excellence at all levels - service, facilities, cleanliness, layout of room and bathroom, size and tone (lighting) of room, comfort… breakfast?! This place has it all!
This hotel is extremely well located in a small, lively plaza within the old city and easy walking distance from all attractions. It is also very good value for money as long as you are happy with a room that lacks charm and individuality but has all the basic amenities, like comfortable beds and an excellent shower, right. 'Frills' may be an electric kettle and small fridge which mean that hot drink making (in our case with tea bags we had brought from home and local milk kept in the fridge) possible. Rooms are a good size too, clean and freshly painted (no smell). We asked for a quiet room, realising that those overlooking the plaza were likely to be noisy, and were given 407 which was very quiet indeed, but rather hot as at the top of the building and with only a small window looking on to internal, but un-peopled, courtyard. Temperature outside in mid-March during the day was around 22F but it rarely fell below 15F at night. A/C not yet switched on centrally. One disappointment was the breakfast which was lack-lustre and poor quality. It was included in our room deal so we stayed in but others may not wish to. The meal was taken in the cafe or back-room adjacent to the cafe, on the ground floor of the hotel. Cafe open to non-residents as well. Cadiz is a wonderful place to visit. Staying at this hotel is a very good value way of doing so.
GGuest UserBooked last minute fantastic hotel right at the end of Victoria Playa right on the beach. Didn't eat there as we like to try local eateries. Bars just over the road to suit all tastes or a gentle stroll to other endless bars and restaurants. The Barman Tearo (sorry if spelt wrong) was amazing very attentive entertaining and polite. A 30 minute stroll takes you to the old town which is a must, beautiful Plazas and bars and tapas eateries on every crossroads. Went on the train to port Santa Maria (there is a ferry that leaves every 3 hours (May) 30 mins travel on each for around 10 euros for 2 persons. Must admit won't be returning to port Santa Maria found it a bit dated especially when you have been to Cadiz. All in all a great 4 day stay onto another hotel in the old town for the next 3 days will post another review soon. 😊
