Oaks Cable Beach Resort

Great place to stay.

Previous stays were excellent but this time the level of cleanliness in the bathroom was disappointing. Pool and grounds were lovely and well maintained.

Our room was basic, towels not changed after first night - had to re-use wet floor towels. Second night, only bed made nothing else - Customer service was lacking in Broome in general and no exception at the Oaks. No full length mirror provided in the room. AC was good. Pool was good. Our friends booking was cancelled and we heard this several times over the few days we spent there. Considering we spent more than $1200 for 3 nights, we thought it would be better especially as we were recommended to stay at the Oaks for a wedding we were attending in Broome.

Rooms very old, have ingrained dirt and housekeeping also sporadic in terms of cleanliness. Our 5 day stay only had housekeeping twice, once to just made beds and change out bin liners, other time they came in the evening when we were using the room and not convenient. Floors were not clean, and no housekeeping on public holidays. Towels old and some were smelly. Pools were great though and staff very friendly.

Some good and bad features about the resort. Disappointing was that the management hasn't taken note of other reviews pointing out the bad state of the bathrooms. Our bathroom had limescale on the glass and the backing of the mirror was deteriorating and there was rotting skirting board. As mentioned by others the towers were only adequate and didn't have any fluff. The pool was lovely but cold and difficult to get into. We enjoyed the grounds we could see native animals in the evening. The staff were patchy only had to talk to 2 staff members one was lovely and the other very rude. It's about a 20 minute walk to the beach so not an ideal position

Overall disappointing for $425 a nigh, even in Cable Beach. Breakfast was very poor, coffee machine out of service, pool closed due to maintenance issues, bathroom full of limescale.

No where comfortable to sit when awaiting your room to be ready. Thread bare towels in rooms. No restaurant available for lunch. Only instant coffee available for breakfast need to pay for barista coffee. Bar staff very slow when serving not interested in customer service.

We stayed here for one night, a 'meet and greet' as part of an organised trip. The room was very ordinary and the ensuite could do with a really good, deep clean, not pleasant at all. Dinner was included, which was pretty average Wouldn't recommend this 'resort'.

Friendly staff and excellent pools and facilities make this a great place to stay in Broome. If you're looking for fully serviced apartments, this place definately deserves consideration.
