Air conditioner didn’t work on the first night and it was really hot and humid. We tried calling the after hours number and texting. No reply until the following morning.
We had a cockroach in the bed on the first night…..!!
Dirty marks on main bed linen and mould on the couch cushions, blinds in the dining area, plastic ware in cupboard. Floors needed a good mop.
I advised the owner of the air conditioner the following morning when he finally got back to me and the cockroach. He let me know that he would organise the aircon to be repaired and that he would leave the details with the next staff member whom was starting at 9am. After the phone call I text asking to be moved to a different apartment given the cockroach incident, and for us to be out of the way whilst the air conditioner was repaired, however he failed to reply. I asked the following staff member at 9 if we could please be moved and compensated for not having air conditioning. He declined and was very rude to me about the whole incident. This is my second time staying at Julian’s. the first stay approx 2 years ago was lovely and clean, however after this incident, the state of the apartment, and being spoken to so rudely I would never return.
