We were celebrating our 4th anniversary and the hotel kindly gifted some yummy chocolates in the room at check-in. The room was clean, spacious and very comfortable. Nespresso coffee pods were replenished every day. The view from the room was amazing too!
Big thank you to the front desk staff who were very welcoming and accommodating!! I was also able to leave my large suitcase for 2 days during my short trip to Copenhagen.

Stockholm can be an expensive city and this can be an expensive property. We paid a little more than i would have liked but I thought it was fair for Stockholm. Staff were great. The property is nice and we received an upgrade (diamond). There is a lounge and breakfast (we missed both). The rooms are a little small but typical in Europe. The wifi was good. The A/C was a little ify. It was late September so it wasn't a big deal but we had to open the window to help cool off the room. If you take the airport train and change at Central there is a subway station about a 5 minute walk from the hotel. The property is not super close to things (except construction - it's very close to that) but it's not too far and you can walk to most tourist things. Overall, it was a good spot. as a reference point, a taxi to the airport was 50€

The location of this place is exceptional. It is located on the top of Stockholm Central Station, so tram, trains and Airport (Arlanda) Express are all right there. The hotel is modern and located centrally with great restaurants and other attractions. Yes, it is not in Gamla Stan, but we walked there easily, about 25 minutes. This place has all the shopping areas nearby as well. The rooms are way too small. It was just impossible for the 3 of us (Adults) and I wish there were bigger rooms. The breakfast is also good, (again, it grades only a 3.8 or 3.9 out 5 because, have stayed in other Scandinavian hotels where the breakfast was just too good [in the range of 4.5 to 4.8]). The hotel also loans bicycles to their guests and it is first come first served, which is very good. Hotel service staff are okay. I would stay here for the location and convenience, and around this area, this is one of the best. If willing to compromise on the location, then there may be other hotels that are better. Not sure.

Unfortunately for this place they had a big party going all through the night and people kept running between floors and open and slamming doors between midnight at 4am. As it turns out you don’t need a key to ride the lift or to open doors! which we found out at 3 in the morning when someone came in to our room by simply pulling on the door open. Upon arrival I was waiting with my kids I. Reception for a good 5 minutes for someone turned up and give us a key. And lastly you can’t have your taxi drop you at the entrance as the there is no road up to the hotel so you have to walk 100 m with your bags to get here. Rooms are clean, staff were friendly enough but I will never stay here again. Not even if it’s offered to me for free.

Downtown Camper by Scandic is always my first choice whenever I visit Stockholm. The hotel is in downtown Stockholm, and there are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby the hotel. The staff is always friendly and helpful. They make you feel like you're home. The room is clean and comfortable. If you have a chance to visit Stockholm, I recommend you visit Downtown Camper by Scandic!!!

Best hotel by far during our trip in Northern Europe. The doorman (from East Europe) who helped us from arrival, to taxi service is super friendly and helpful. He even told us not to take any taxis pulling over at the hotel as they most definitely will over charge us. The location of the hotel is the best and easy to get access to the old town just on foot. Housekeeping team is very professional too and kept our room clean and tidy. We feel bad that we forgot leaving some tips to the room attendant who cleaned our room during the stay which we were planning to do it. We have already recommended this hotel to our family in Canada.

Generator is one of the chain hostels around Europe and it's my first time staying in their Stockholm branch. It's one of the more spacious hostel and the perks of having an ensuit for 6 people means that you don't have to leave the room at night for shower and toilet.
I rarely used any of the other amenities but there are plenty facility and events they provide which looked fun. What I would highly recommend is their breakfast, great value if u pre book for a proper meal to start your day in Stockholm.

Clean, compact & comfortable. Walkable distance from central train station. Down comforters, scenic view from our large window, large screen tv, clean bathroom with shower, free Wi-fi, self check-in (we didn’t have a reservation so we had to check-in with a staff person). We had a “Compact Double” Room for 1,689,00 SEK (about $156 USD) and it was worth it!

It was much more relaxed and nice than the complicated Central Station or Gamla Stan area. It was great to be able to sleep comfortably in a cozy bed. I will choose this place again on my next visit.

We stayed there 3 nights. First night arrived very late and didn’t feel the staffs were warm, went to the room and got a twin beds rather than a king bed. Came downstairs and was told hotel was fully booked and they just looked at us like it’s our fault. The room is also dusty and feels a room hasn’t been used for a while. Second morning, the staff were really good, sort out the problem and saying it was the booking problem. We got one day breakfast for compensation.

GGuest UserStayed 3 nights, family vacation. I do NOT recommend this hotel to others! Noise from street at night (street cleaning, trash truck etc several times, each night) so we slept terribly every night. Extra bed for 3rd person was very hard/uncomfortable. During breakfasts, the staff was hustling and making lots of noise by setting up for lunch (which started as late as 1.5 hrs after breakfast was over!) and did not allow guest to sit where they wanted in breakfast room - not a nice experience at all. Questionable room cleaning: no spare cups, cleaner said cups in rooms were only hand washed in bathroom sinks by cleaners, and they did not seem clean. We had to hunt down towels and toilet paper, plus they had forgotten to supply bed and towels for third person in room upon arrival. Front desk staff generally not so service minded + not understanding/interested in being helpful - did not allow us to eat a sandwich in the lobby before departure ”because the hotel has a restaurant” - which did not open until 3 hrs later(!) Note 1: Short opening hrs for restaurant by lobby. Note 2: They do not control which person removes what luggage from luggage storage, so anyone could take what they want. Note 3: Fridge in (our) room was super tiny, with depth as narrow as a water bottle. Note 4: They might not pay attention: When booking, I sent a request + a question to the hotel; request was not taken into account and I received no answer to question. Location: Good area to stay in for family trip if want to include shopping, easy access to public transportation, walking distance to Gamla Stan and more. But would recommend other hotel in area, not this one. Overall: Not the hotel experience I expected from photos, info on hotel web site and prize. Will not return, and recommend the hotel to reevaluate some of its routines!

GGuest UserWe booked at internet 2 standard rooms, queen bed, 4 nights. When we arrived, we have got 2 little spaces, 12m, under the roof in the attic. In half the room, you could not stand up under the roof. The bed was 1.40x1,9 m, only accessible at 1 side, no ponde in the front because off lac of hight. The head of the shower was max at 1,75 m, also because of the roof, in a bathroom of 2x1 m. To open the window i had to climb on the chair to reach the lock. And this space was rented to us as a room for 2 persons. At night , al night, there was the noise of running water in the pipes of the heating and the whooshing of al the ventilation pipes on the roof. We tried to sleep there for 1 night, impossible. Next morning we demanded to see someone from the management to complain but no one was available. Then they offered us 2 other rooms, on the second floor, same size of bed, a little larger, a lot higher, same price and our problem was solved. Why do they try to rent such little spaces in the attic as standard double rooms? If they had given us the right rooms the first day, our visit would have been perfect.

GGuest UserI booked their single room without window, as I both have no need for excessive in-room amenities and also greatly enjoy small, cosy places (this is not a sarcastic statement: I truly loved the tiny room). There was enough space in the room for the bed, an additional cutout for a small desk, and the private bathroom was nearly twice the size of the rest of the room itself. The walls were painted in a dark grey or purple, as were the bed dressings. It was a perfect, cosy little nook in which I could sleep and unwind a little. Their breakfast is pretty standard fare, no complaints nor highlights. I was content with the mini croissants, yoghurt and fruit; though an unsweetened yoghurt option would have been nice (but again, not a complaint). One issue I have however is with the parking fees. It is advertised on the hotels.com website, as well as the English version of the hotel's own site that parking is SEK100,-/day. However, their internal system, and as I later found while verifying, their Swedish website both state SEK150,-/day. I did not follow up on this until the next day as I arrived late in the evening and checked the listings after having checked in. The monetary difference is negligible, however this was frustrating to be presented with at the point of payment and not updated across the platforms this hotel advertises on. When I asked at the desk about it and showed the FD staff the hotels.com and English version of their site with the lower amount, I was given an apologetic look and the professional version of throwing one's hands up in helplessness. I don't expect grovelling nor immediate refunds (I have read r/TalesFromtheFrontDesk for long enough) but at least a mention that it will be sent up the chain of command would allay my feeling of being misled. Parking in any case is in an underground lot accessible via your hotel card key.
