The mobile checkin app was not available for download in my region. The QR code only works in English on the main page and once you click more info, it turns back into Hangul, so had a hard time following instructions which elevator to take. I had the room number/room passcode/elevator passcode but was going around in circles for more than an hour in the elevator and around the building, and even went to the reception of the hotel of the same building that UrbanStay is (I didn’t know) is being shared with. The front desk barely spoke English and when I showed info that I’m staying with UrbanStay, she only said it’s a different company, when she could have told me, just enter the passcode in the same elevator as theirs as it’s a shared property. I found the storage room as there was a signage, but the instructions on where to go from there or QR code (like I said switches back into Hangul after the main page) so it wasn’t much help either. Good thing I asked the guy in the office next door to call the phone number provided and he called UrbanStay and a staff came and showed me which elevator to take. UrbanStay should have at least included in the instructions that it’s a shared property with 3 other hotels, or had the signage in the elevator for UrbanStay like the other 2 hotels sharing the property. Lesson learned to never book a property with no front desk ever again. The location and property was nice, but not worth all the troubles I had to go through especially after a long day travelling and you just want to get to your hotel and rest.
