New Years on Norfolk… We made a last minute decision for a quick trip to Norfolk with great friends. We had a lovely relaxing stay here. Starting with Tahnies’ lovely welcome and all her help during our stay. Thankyou so much for making our short trip to your lovely island so wonderful xx

Staff are lovely! The accommodation is 31/2 star as advised. You really need a car to get around. Emily beach is beautiful and there are good hiking spots. Continental breakfast was not value for money but we had a beautiful fish dinner at the restaurant. Enjoyed the visit but 5 days would have been perfect.

We didn't stay here we visited for dinner, l had the duck, which was fine, my husband had the pork belly and along with others on our table either asked for a steak knife to cut it or didn't bother eating it, The service was friendly but slow

The resort was made an enjoyable stay due to the staff. Rooms were clean and cleaning staff were very pleasant and helpful. The restaurant served fresh food and the cooks did a wonderful job as we were a large crowd. Front staff and bar staff were always friendly and cheerful. Would go back if I could

Stayed at Paradise Hotel/Resort on a group tour. Our hotel room was spacious and clean and had all usual mod cons and the meals were very good and the staff were friendly and helped with bookings for independent trips. There is a nice pool and a self serve laundry (something I always like if staying somewhere for a week) weather was rainy - obviously not the fault of the hotel - but apparently there were umbrellas for loan,, would of been helpful to be informed of this instead of finding out on last day. Also the bar closes very early, soon after dinner. am not a big drinker but often on group tours I enjoy chatting to others in the evening and hotel/resort bars are usually open to have a few drinks together in the evening

I was here with a group Jan-Feb 2022 and have read the previous negative reviews, which compelled me to write of my own experience. I was in an accessible room (207 I think) and I found it suited my needs very well. One problem with the entry door on an open corridor was that my "do not disturb" sign kept flying off into the garden. It was explained before I arrived (because I asked) that as there are no flyscreens, a can of insect spray was provided in each room, but although I heard others complaining, I never saw a cockroach, nor even a fly. This being my first experience as part of a group tour, I realised that if I did not comply with set meal times I would starve, but I couldn't understand why the bar did not even keep bags of chips or nuts, or cheese and biscuit packs, for sale as in-between snacks (and additional sales potential). I was also advised beforehand that there is no air-conditioning on the Island but the ceiling fans were adequate. In my opinion, it is NOT the fault of the hotel if the weather is unfavourable! I too had to put up with cancelled activities and tours during my stay, but I did notice that some alternative arrangements were offered if possible, and reception staff were helpful in booking independent tours if the weather permitted. Tropical rain storms and soggy undergrowth has to be a safety concern, especially when catering for senior and disabled visitors. If a tour was cancelled by the organisers, it's their decision, not the hotel's. One "think outside the box" comment I will make is that you advise housekeepers that a rubber shower mat is designed so that the hole in the mat fits OVER the drainhole in the floor, not cover it (see photo) - stops flooding the bathroom as far as the room carpet! My only negative comment (and couldn't see it mentioned by anyone else) was that on our last night 3rd Feb just around midnight, all the security alarms at the property went off simultaneously and kept going for 45 minutes or so. Guests stood outdoors waiting to see if anyone on staff attended to it, but in the end, a guest had to call the police. Police arrived and called the Fire Brigade. Eventually all was calm again, but no one ever advised us what the problem had been, nor offered us an apology. We couldn't understand why there was not even a night manager onsite.

First hotel room I’ve ever stayed in where there is a large can of insect repellent to kill the cockroaches. I was lucky as I only had to spray two. Management lied about not being able to move some occupants because there was no other rooms available when it was obvious the place was almost empty. I can’t imagine the rooms have ever been given a deep clean. If you’ve been given an itinerary by a travel agent ignore it because management write what you’re going to do on a blackboard and that’s what you have to follow. Don’t bother wasting your money on this place.
