Our check in person was so friendly and gave us a great recommendation for dinner. We were pulling a trailer with a classic vehicle and she made sure we were comfortable with the parking spot. Room was clean and the little courtyard was great for sitting outside and cooling off. The breakfast was a nice surprise too, cooked eggs from scratch with all the fixings for breakfast burritos. Great little place to stay.

In the past, I’ve always been a fan of Best Western in Burnet, choosing it over its competition. This trip, not so much. Even though the parking lot was basically empty, we were given a room on the side, not where the pool is located. There were only two vehicles in that area. All but two rooms have been converted to only shower bathrooms. With an injured foot, I would have preferred a bathtub to soak it. For this reason alone, I will likely not return! If you have small kids, you may want to consider another hotel. The main reason I usually choose this motel is for the breakfast. The options are very limited now and you are served by staff. At check in, we were told this, but also told to come back through the line if we wanted more. Basically, eggs, sausage, and breakfast potatoes are served. I remember in the past where a couple of different meats were offered with hot biscuits and gravy, etc. Back then, the food was really good and plentiful. The male attendant said they only serve biscuits and gravy when it’s cold outside??? I'm from Louisiana and we eat biscuits in the summer, too. Is this a Texas thing? So today, my adult son was basically served a kids amount with one piece of sausage, a spoonful of potatoes, and eggs. I laughed because I knew that wasn’t going to fill up my 6 foot 2 kid. He is extremely shy, so I knew he didn’t want to go ask for seconds but he did. So what did the staff say to him? “What? You’ve already eaten that plateful? I’d never be able to eat more than one plate.” Really? I stayed at the competitor last summer due to availability. It was self serve and not once did they make us feel bad about getting seconds. And, they had more options like Best Western once did. They had bacon, sausage, biscuits, and many other hot options. The BW attendant’s comments were unnecessary, unkind, and embarrassed my son. My son knew I was upset but he asked me not to say anything. I knew at this point we’d be checking out early and switching hotels, hopefully one with better manners. After reading my survey, the general manager sent a professional email asking to give them another chance, but after reading my review, she asked me to stay somewhere else in the future, lol. I gave them a glowing review previously, which Linda and Rick thanked me for.

This nice little hotel was clean and modern. The pool was well maintained with a pleasant atmosphere. Staff was friendly, Breakfast was hot and plentiful. Was not noisy. They don't allow local checkins so no party animals to disturb our stay.

I wasn't expecting a 5-star experience, but this hotel staff made it feel like such. Lots of personal touches to show they care about their guests and their experience while there. Highly recommend!

Clean and good location that was easy to find but just off the beaten path. The pool area felt like a backyard oasis. Good seating and lounge chairs, swing, waterfall and pretty landscaping. Definitely didn't feel like you were at a hotel/motel

Quiet and decent room, but the gray/gray/gray color scheme coupled with cool white led lighting was dismal. Tasty free breakfast, made to order on the spot, but limited to eggs, sausage, bacon. Bed was comfy. Front desk staff were very friendly. Motel is an older style, but has been updated a little bit. Not too many options in Burnet, so this is probably the best. It's not really close to anything but a tiny minimart next door.
