Sabatico Travelers Hostel & Guesthouse

Nice hostel, good facility, good people. Wifi was a little spotty, non-existent in my room. There were plenty of stairs to climb to get to my room, pretty important to either carry a flashlight or learn where the light switches are located. The activities were fun, we watched a good movie on movie night.

Even though I actually didn’t spend a night in this hostel I would never recommend this hostel. My girlfriend and I made an agreement with the owner to work for one month as volunteers in his hostel. We flew especially to Buenos Aires (which was of course super expensive) to do this kind of volunteering. However, when we arrived in his hostel, he told us there was no space anymore to work. He only told us that when we arrived at his hostel. He fully handled out of self-interest and from our perspective made sure he had some back-up volunteers to work in his hostel. Out of experience I can confirm that people that don’t threat their (potential) personal with respect, will do exactly the same to his guests/clients. We even send him a message afterwards to tell him how we felt how he treated us, and he didn’t even had the respect for us to reply. That represents how much he cares.
