Stayed here for 3 nights because the bad reviews I read all had to do with them remodeling I called and asked them to put me in a remodeled room and was told it should be almost done when I came. There version of remodeling was a new mattress which was comfortable and painting (in bathroom going behind sink cabinet had a large patch job which was not painted). All the furniture was old with lots of wear on it. They took out the large bathroom sink counters and put in very small free standing vanity sink so there is no place to put stuff. The shower head is nice and high but there was no shelf to put your soap and shampoo/conditioner. I balance the soap on top of the shower frame (closing the toilet in case it fell) and put shampoo bottle on top of the towel on the towel bar. The site said they had a free hot breakfast but there was nothing the days I was there. Plenty of parking. Getting into the parking lot if you are coming from the south is hard because you have to cross a VERY busy 3 lane highway which also made for a noisy room because we were facing the highway. The staff was nice and if you are going to Knotts Berry Farm its a short walk.

pon checking in, my family and I were greeted, acknowledged as Diamond Members, and welcomed back as returned guests. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room and the rest of the hotel we saw, were clean and nice. We enjoyed our one-night stay and rested well. Fortunately, everyone we met was nice and helpful. I would suggest that when team members are discussing incidents involving other guests, they do so in their private office and not while at the front desk. As I entered the front desk area, a hotel team member was chatting with another speaking ill-will about her encounter with a difficult guest. She immediately stopped once she saw me, which was when I was at the desk already and heard enough. Thank you!

Overall, okay. You get what you pay for: a relatively clean but basic room. The AC was loud but functioned well. Wifi functioned but was slow/spotty when streaming. Bring your own conditioner because they only provide shampoo and soap.

location of the hotel was perfect. close to some food places, stores and shopping centers. Having it next to the freeway, leaving and coming back to the hotel was a breeze. however, the tvs in the room were not connected with HDMI nor did it have an HDMI port(s).

Such a surprise. As a traveling family we have road tripped all across the United States full time. However sometimes our budgets require a less “glamorous” stay. We did not have high expectations but this hotel beyond exceeded them! We had a very clean room. Clean beds. And more importantly a clean toilet and bathroom. Housekeeping ladies are lovely and kind. They stopped by every day to offer service and restock any towels and necessities needed. Front desk manager and workers were always kind and very helpful. They are pet friendly, which is necessary for us as we travel with our 2 chihuahuas. The pool was great for the kids and was maintained beautifully by the maintenance man. Great job on the management and new policy’s. There is security patrolling the parking lot all night which brings ease to assure our vehicles are safe. Guest laundry was available to us and no need for quarters as it accepts card/tap. Definitely recommend staying and if we are ever in the area again we will for sure return.

So I gave this a descent review because the people working there are just doing their job. So my story isn't a good one in regards to my guests who I booked a room for my sister and her boyfriend. I got the key and let them know there would be 2 people (front desk). I gave my sister the key told her where the room was and went to the store to grab her some snacks and drinks. next thing I know her boyfriend finds me at the store and comes up to me and says that she was told that she can not stay there. That I needed to call them because they can't make calls out of the hotel lobby after a certain hour. Apparently when she tried to find the room she could not so she went to the front desk. They asked for the key and when she gave it to them they asked her if she picked this up off the floor. They asked for her id and she did not have one. So, I called to see what was happening and let them know that yes that was my sister and I had given her the key to get in the room. I was told that everyone who is staying in that room has to provide an I.D. I already knew my sister did not have one as she has been telling me she needed to get a new one. (sadly she is very unorganized and doesn't have much sense of responsibility in life) So her being (dumb) began telling them that they were trying to rip me off and steal the money as they told her to leave the premises (before I was able to let them know that it was my sister and I had given her the key) and would not be giving a refund. I don't blame them...I know my sister and she has a sense of entitlement and a short fuse. I apologized knowing that even though I wasn't there, she probably exploded the situation that could have been handled with a quick talk. I said I understood and I asked to close out the room (they make you give them $100 cash as a deposit on the room which they give you back upon turning your key back in). I was informed that even though I hadn't stepped foot in the room that I was not going to be offered a refund for the room but could get my deposit back. I went to the desk signed the paperwork and got my deposit back. So a simple warning: make sure everyone has their ID have all your ducks in a row with them when checking into this hotel or you risk being told you can't stay there and you will not get a refund for the room you paid for regardless of if you even have stepped inside or not. That said I get it....I live in this area...while I would not call Buena Park the worst or even a bad place...sometimes less than desirable people hang out and rent in these areas and businesses need to be on their guard for people they would not wish to stay at their establishment. A sign right at the front desk says ”right to refuse service”. I just wish there was a more clear policy...I don't think I;ve ever had to give the i.d.'s of everyone staying in a hotel room before other than the person who booked the room. Ahh well...live and learn.
