Hotels Near Focipálya in Budapest

The hotel is not worthy of 4 stars at all. The standard room is already ruined: the door to the bathroom is sagging and may soon fall, the doorframes are broken from below, the walls are stained in places, the sofa is also not the first freshness. A standard room with one bed is 2 single beds placed side by side, covered with one sheet. Only the beds are on wheels and move apart, so there is a problem if you sleep together, only in your own half. No water, only in the minibar for money. Breakfast is buffet, but it’s the same every day, and if you stay for a long time it can get boring. So I give the hotel a maximum of 2-3 stars. There is no kettle in the room, it turns out you have to ask for it at the reception.

Positive: location and friendly staff. Negative: Rooms: worn out furniture. Bath: cracks in the zink and the wallmount for the showerhead was loose. Breakfast: low quality.

This hotel suited us. Right from the start we received good welcome from reception and throughout the stay they were cheerful, always acknowledged us when we came in and out and were happy to call us taxis. The place was very clean. Breakfast met all our needs: selection of cheeses/salami/ham, musli, fresh fruit cocktail, bowls of fruit, pastries, yogurt, avocado, breads, bacon, sausages, scrambled egg, beans, salad, peppers, coffee/hot chocolate machine was good, fruit juices etc. I really wanted to use the hot tub/sauna but we ran out of time so can’t comment on that. Our apartment itself (703) was very good. We had 2 floors with 2 bedrooms. Each bedroom had a good tv, nice decor, beds and pillows I found super comfy, had a better night sleep than I do at home. Only negative for me was that the bedroom we had never had a wardrobe, the one next door had a good wardrobe and there was also one downstairs if we were really bothered and wished to hang up and run up and down the stairs, but we never had much clothes for the weekend so were happy to stack jumpers under bedside table and I lay my trousers over the top of my case so wasn’t a huge issue for me. Shower was great! Bathroom modern and clean. Had a hairdryer, shower cap and shower gel and body lotion. Lounge area had a sofa, dining table and kitchen area with fridge, microwave, kettle, hob and pans/utensils. They provided a tea towel and dish liquid, few sachets of coffee and tea bags but no sugar or milk cartons. The system they used was if you wanted the bedroom cleaning the next day you had to put a sign on door the evening before (before midnight). If you wanted towels changing then had to let reception know. Big plus for us was that the hotel was very quiet, no outside noise to disturb our sleep and that we had 2 bedrooms so our daughter had her own room and a proper bed. This was in preference to 1 hotel room with a sofa bed which I didn’t want. I thought the cost was good. Only other comment is that the hotel is a little out of the centre which we knew when we booked, but chose the hotel based on cost, having the 2 bedrooms and a lounge rather than all in a hotel room, good reviews and the fact that it was quiet as wasn’t in the city centre. There was option to use the nearby public transport but we were happy to walk, or called a taxi when we needed to. Overall I was really happy with the stay.

The Florin hotel in Budapest was excellent as was the location. Area 6 is well located to the Jewish quarter and the bohemian area. The hotel is 10 min walk to St Stephen’s church. Trams stop right outside the hotel and main metro station is less than a 10 min walk. For over 65s public transport is free, but is cheap anyway and so easy to get about. Attila, Balint and Lori at reception were great ambassadors for Budapest and the hotel - helpful and friendly. The rooms spacious with a little kitchenette and good bathroom. Very clean and comfortable. Highly recommended.

Currently here at the moment and tbh I’m disappointed! Not like the reviews say. It’s a good 45 min walk to the centre of Budepest. The breakfast is lack lustre at most! Luke warm hot drinks, only one side of the toaster works and very basic buffet. Rooms have no tv, or hairdryers! The amenities it says are here simply aren’t, rooftop bar closed, pasta shop never open, spar next door is very limited hours and the staff are rude. If your wanting somewhere to stay with things around it don’t stay here it feels like your in the middle of no where. Nothing much around it so do expect to be walking quite a way to get to anything. I comply understand it’s geared towards student but even these must be bored to tears with the lack of amenities around the hotel, not even anywhere to grab a bite to eat within a good 10 min walk. Would I stay here again? Absolutely not On a plus note the reception staff are lovely

Sometime people who write reviews are not objective and some others they are simply guilty. Well, while I was thinking to have been ignored, the staff of this hotel was working silently for me in the back stage. So that, first of all: THANKS A LOT TO EVERYONE. I apologize for my fault. I’m grateful for your promptness in sending to my home a stuff forgotten at the hotel. Coming to the experience, once upon a time…a way to manage hospitality. Here the hospitality is full of care. The hotel is perfectly located, a few walk from Chains Bridge , tram train and Budapest Parliament. When you get in you are enraptured by the stunning, lustful lobby and by the aroma on the air. We stay in a suite, which has all the amenities you need and a touch of elegance you do not find everywhere. The staff is all kind and helpful, starting from the valet Parker, the Concierge team, the Person who brings your luggage. Every need is considered with professionalism, respect and care. A special mention to the breakfast: you’ll find a right variety of international suggestions. What is it important to point out is the freshness and the quality of the food. In this case too, only few times the food quality related to a top rated hotel respect the expectation. Here the reality went over expectation. Finally, we can say to have been stayed at our home because each time we reach the hotel it was like we have been living there. Many thanks for the special delights founded into the room to celebrate my wife’s special occasion. First of all, it's really good to reserve a spot. The outer edge of the building is a variety of colorful pipes, which are very eye-catching and easy to find. The yellow bus stop is diagonally opposite the hotel lobby on the right. It takes two minutes to walk there. Turn left and walk straight for a few minutes to the subway entrance and exit. There is a chain bakery where you can buy fresh bread and drinks. The hotel lobby is quite comfortable, with quite a lot of guests. Several young people at the front desk are polite but not smiling. Check-in is quite fast, and you can also store luggage for free. The room is not big but quite good. The hotel does not provide toiletries and disposable slippers, which need to be prepared by yourself. My order seems to have no breakfast, but the front desk told me that there is breakfast after checking in. I was very happy. I went to taste it opposite the lobby on the first floor the next day. The food is quite rich, but the various breads are relatively hard, and the toast is soft. Some are cut and some are not cut. You can cut it yourself, but the taste is salty, which surprised me. The various sausages are really delicious, and there are many varieties of cereals and nuts beside the milk. The fruit is fresh, and the honey is also delicious. I stayed for one night and checked out quickly. Overall, I recommend that you can stay again when you come to Budapest

The hotel is conveniently located very close to public transportation. The tram is right across the street and the Metro station just a short walk away. You can also walk across to the other side of town where all the stores and restaurants are by using the Chain Bridge. However the bridge was closed for pedestrians last month, not sure if it is now open. Our room was a good size and we had a beautiful view of the Danube river and the Parliament. The small balcony outside our window needed to be cleaned though, as there were spider webs everywhere. Realized that after I stuck my head outside to look at the view.. You can also look outside the window in the hallway when you get off the elevators. It has a nice view of the castle at night. Bathroom was fine, there was a nice bathtub with a nice shower but I found the bathtub very high and it took me extra effort to climb in and out. Never had that problem before but for some reason this tub was not easy to climb into. The breakfast had many yummy choices. There were not many changes in what they offered everyday, but still they had many choices and also many different coffees you could prepare on the machine. Front desk staff were cordial and one young man in particular was very helpful with everything that we needed. I don't remember his name but he was in his 30s I believe with a goatie. All in all we enjoyed our stay! The only thing we wished is that this hotel had a pool, but oh well!

We booked this with Jet2 City Breaks and the picture of the room did look so much better! The room was very basic. There was no tea/coffee making facilities and no mini bar. There was a safe and a hairdryer. You were only given one towel each and one floor towel - no face towels! The room was very warm and we had to leave the window open all the time...The reception area was very nice though and we used the breakfast buffet which did have a fair selection of hot and cold food. Staff were friendly. We found that we were on the wrong side of the river for nightlife and shopping and we kept having to get trams or use the underground to get to the other side as the bridge nearest to us (Liberty Bridge) was closed to pedestrians. It was in a very quiet neighbourhood so no noise at night. We loved Budapest but we were not impressed with the hotel and location.
