Booked for a colleague and was arranged to stay in the basement. After several negotiations, they said there was no room or they would charge extra to change the room. Very bad!

We stayed at this hotel on two separate occasions in September/October 2024. The rooms were clean and decently appointed but the overall feel was of a tired hotel. Upholstery was worn, curtains were heavy, long and not well hung. The entrance rug would benefit from a good cleaning or replacement. Breakfast was nice but pricy. Nice sitting area outside and decent bar. Staff were helpful and pleasant. Overall, the hotel would benefit from a little TLC….hang the drapes properly, remove some of the knickknacks, repair some of the furniture.

This is a great choice if you are staying in Bucharest. The staff are top notch. The hotel looks more like a grand mansion than a hotel. Well located and it's easy to walk to many museums and historical places. There were a few places I wanted to see but missed, so when I return to Bucharest, I'll be staying here.

Un super établissement avec un personnel au TOP La propriétaire du lieu a su créer un super hôtel avec style mais n'est absolument pas du tout AIMABLE. Cependant les chambres sont superbes. Le pire est le petit déjeuner tres cher et pas du tout qualitatif, une seule personne (adorable) qui doit tout gérer et très vite débordée. Bref tout est parfait sauf le petit dejeuner.

We wanted a hotel in a quiet location away from the noisy centre of the old town. The hotel was indeed quiet and in a side road. Plenty of hot water and decent wifi. Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean. We liked the idea of staying in a characterful and beautiful old building. The staff were helpful and friendly. It was a 15 minute walk to the old city where there are a number of restaurants and bars. Would definitely recommend.

Die Zimmer sind auf den Buchungsplatformen groß dargestellt. Müssen aber extra gebucht werden. Ansonsten bekommt man ein Standartzimmer mit gefühlten 8qm (Zimmer 19). Ansonsten ein tolles Hotel mit gutem Frühstück und freundlichem Service.

On the positive side: Great quiet location a short walk from the old Town Large rooms Clean Character And of course fantastic staff Not so positive Breakfast is ok but could be better Not everyone likes historic buildings with old floors and dark halls. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

The hotel is an immaculately restored 150 year old mansion on a quiet tree lined street, walking distance to the centre. The common areas are fantastic and you have an idea of the grandeur when you walk in and see the sweeping wooden staircase, antique furniture and artwork. There are only about 12 rooms, all furnished with period furniture. We had a lovely room on the first floor, with gleaming parquet floors, high ceilings, floor length drape curtains, a marble tiled bathroom and an array of comfortable, classic furniture. Breakfast was a good selection of traditional Romanian fare, served next to a cellar room that had genuine suits of armour flanking a gigantic oak trestle table! You'll want to take loads of photos. Staff were excellent - helpful and friendly. It's an amazing deal for less than £100 a night!
